This building is part of the library called the Radcliffe camera and is very beautiful and famous. Students come here to borrow books and study.

Oxford has a very famous library called the Bodleian. The library holds 12 million printed items and is 400 years old. Some parts of the library were used in the Harry Potter films.

Whilst at Oxford I also visited the museum of natural history. I saw lots of interesting exhibits including the famous Oxford Dodo www.oum.ox.ac.uk/learning/pdfs/dodo.pdf

Many famous people studied at Oxford including C.S Lewis author of the Chronicles of Narnia books. He used to leave church everu Sunday and see this door which has a lion and two golden fawns. Some believe these were the inspiration for the characters Aslan and Mr Tumnus.

Here I am at Jesus College which was founded by Queen Elizabeth is 1571. 580 students, 88 lecturers and researchers (who are called Fellows at Oxford) work and study here.

Here I am visiting Keble college. Oxford university is made up of 34 colleges. They are places where students live and study whilst at the university. College’s have facilities such as gyms, sports grounds, bedrooms, classrooms, dining rooms, theatres, art galleries and even croquet lawns.
