The possibility of fitting a CR.32 of wing and ventral attacks for small caliber bombs is concretely implemented in AOI by the Captain of the 410th squad Corrado Ricci. On the basis of his report the installation of under-hooks is carried out on the FIAT CR.42. In the Aegean the aircraft of the 162nd and 163th squadrons take part in the war operations for the occupation of Crete (20-31 May 1941), attacking the port of Hierapetra, land targets at Kastellion and Arkalokori, Heraklion airport and concentrations of troops at Mokkos.
