Gah, I have NOT been drawing lately! I had to move at the start of this year, and it was hell. That combined with finally finishing DBZ start to finish had me worn out with little motivation/inspiration, I suppose!

But I'm getting back in the swing of things, and watching daima with friends!

Until I start drawing characters from daima and other dragon ball characters, here's a little sketch of my own oc Pyron! I've been wanting to give him a 2nd form and just haven't finished designing it yet, but I've got some new ideas for him after I sketched this.

Guess who rekindled his love for Pokemon!

Yeah, I've been really out of love with Pokemon since 2017! Playing the games was a social thing I did with my brother, and we bonded a lot over it. After Black and White 2, however, we weren't around one another anymore. So I kinda... let go. I felt a little sad about this for years... until this year! Finally, within the past month, I've managed to regain my enjoyment for Pokemon. I played Black and White again, remembering the last game I fell in love with, and suddenly I was back at it again! As someone very special to me always says; love never goes away, it just goes to sleep sometimes.

I still have my qualms with the mechanics and some other assortment of things, but I'm a fan overall regardless! So I decided to welcome myself back by appeasing my inner child - drawing Blaziken properly.

Back on my GBA, Torchic was my very first ever Pokemon, and it was almost like a friend in a way! So Blaziken is like an old friend to me, I really love this fire chicken. My entire childhood I wanted to draw a cool pic of Blaziken - I think this one would have appeased him :)

I WILL draw more, I even considered making this just incredibly gay But I decided to draw a normal image of Raditz before going in that direction

But the best motivation for me to draw something is always character interactions, so I need to come up with some so I draw more!!!

Just watched Fusion Reborn for the first time

Dude, I am so fucking GIDDY over Dragon Ball by default, and then I watch something like this movie and I just lose my shit because it's so fucking awesome. Janemba is SICK AS FUCK Goku and Vegeta are gayer than ever together for some reason??? The attacks are interesting, the art is spectacular, I want to EAT this animation, I adore this OUUGHHHH

Moments like these I mourn having not been able to get into Dragon Ball when I was younger. It's already had such an impact on my art in a tremendous way and I started on it only this year. Not to mention just having an impact on who I am as a person as an incredible inspiration in my efforts to better myself! I won't get into the mental health aspects here, but it's genuinely been such a force of good in my life.

But whether it be when I was a kid or now, we got there in the end, and my life has been enriched by it.

I'm positive that watching it with my guy is a good part of my absurd enthusiasm. I love this shit, but sharing something you love with someone you love makes it all the better.

I'm so glad that someday when I'm an old man I'll look back on my experiences in watching Dragon Ball for the first time and feel such a swarm of good from it.

Solidly Obsessed

My friends call me insane for it, but I have a playlist on my computer of several Solid State Scouter covers and renditions that I'll play on loop all day.

It keeps me so fucking HYPED, it's a fantastic way to keep my spirits high!!!

I let it sit for a few days and felt lacking in energy but I play it again tonight and I'm like bouncing around with energy now

I did not create Relish with the expectation that I'd be horribly gay for him, but here I am making these drawings Every time I draw arms, I draw them wider - I'm being too transparent :)

Anyway, this is Relish's casual outfit! :D I think it's stylish! Also feels pretty fitting for the dragon ball universe style, I feel. A bit torn about him still wearing the wrist bands but he also looks naked without them, so I'll have to decide on that later.

Making dragon ball OCs was a fantastic choice. I used to avoid making characters that belonged to a universe from a show because it felt silly but here I am...

I also drew Jean again! Since today I had two different people confused Relish for a Namekian, I had to draw my actual Namekian.

I didn't realize until I was very nearly finished, but he's holding it almost like the Shakespeare skull thing, has the big poofy thing around his neck, and it's a pear... shakesPEAR... this was not intentional but I am happy about it.

Drew another pic of my guy Relish!

I do that thing you're supposed to where you draw characters without their clothes first... and had a minor panic when I came out the drawing trance to see how naked he was at first

But anyhow, Relish was my last DBZ OC but easily one of my favorites. He's sort of a villain. A serpent who has always lived on Earth who believes people with immense strength should be obligated to protect the planet and the life on it way better than anyone has. Thus, he dislikes most strong folk. His power, however, doesn't work great on those who are good. He's a good villain to villains, as his abilities work best on evil, and he can even absorb incoming attacks from an evil individual and repurpose that energy (in attacks or even healing and regen)

He has a deep appreciation and love for humanity and other lifeforms on Earth. For someone who's so hateful, he can really just sit down and enjoy his time with someone and it's quite sweet! As an example, enjoy this doodle of him going for a lovely walk with another of my friend's OCs, a human girl named Chance!

Not a dragon ball thing (I know - sin) but just me working out a character design.

My one and only angel character that I still have. They're very pokemon and I love that. They have 3 forms (including this one) although their transition from 2 to 3 could possibly be considered another form, as it's quite a slow transformation. But it's not quite as clear-cut as the rest.

They're an antagonist to a story I wrote as a kid and have been playing with again! I've been enjoying that, as I hadn't touched it in years. Had a hiatus in my character so I didn't have interest, but it's nice to pick it back up now that I'm me again!

Despite being developed entirely in isolation, my bf and I's demons and angels align REALLY well, so I've been basing this individual more on the similarities! They're cool and I'd like to finalize their designs soon so I can start drawing them fighting the protag.

If I hadn't figured out that I like dudes before watching DBZ, that shit would have certainly done it.

Just wanted to draw Raditz again, I love his fuckin MANE. Absurdly long hair is one of my favorite character designs, it's so cool!! Then you pair that with wide man??? No wonder I love this guy...

I've been so caught up in my friend group's Dragon Ball OCs lately that I haven't done any real drawings of actual DBZ characters, I need to fix that. Who next, though? Piccolo again? Buu maybe... hmmmm...

I'm really just a cartoonist, I never draw realistic people. But Serj Tankian's face makes me wanna draw realistic people. I took a frame from the Lonely Day music video and tried to recreate it. It's definitely rough and I could sit here refining it for ages, but I think I've hit a wall with this one! I think maybe I should put more practice into drawing realistic faces, because I would love to be able to paint him well...

Anyhow, I did this one on my Switch, so I wasn't able to do as much as I could on my computer. Colors! does not have any deforming tools 😭 so I couldn't fix this. But that's okay, the restrictions are good for learning, honestly!

I probably would've trashed this if not for the fact that I'm actually quite happy with how the mouth/bottom half of the face turned out!

Shout out to one of my favorite angel characters of mine.

I'm the guy who used to have literally thousands of OCs. I finally went through and nixed the vast majority of them because I couldn't document them all and they were pretty low quality anyway.

But Aqueiso here was one of my favorites. I never actually drew the coolest aspect of her - her face, which was covered in eyes! Almost like a fly! It's horrific!

She was a guardian angel, looking after humans that would be followed around by this 2d light shaped like an eye. Extremely soft-spoken, gentle, kind, a little uhhhhhh attractive

But only because you cannot see her face - which was covered in TONS of eyes that stared directly into your soul. Leaving a feeling of unease, something unshakable for weeks, months, and sometimes even years.

The angels I've always written are not the good guys. They leave you feeling terror, while the demons are welcoming and comforting. Genuinely, as well! These beings do not act in any way that they aren't. However, Aquiso was good with her nature and powers being what unsettled and disrupted life around her.

I will be giving her a final redraw and giving her face an appearance. I have a rough idea of what I want it to look like in my mind. Her final send-off!
