Kirishima: *Looks over Bakugo's shoulder at his phone screen*...why does Midoriya's contact have a little green heart emoji next to it?

Bakugo: ...

Bakugo: You never saw that. This never happened. And as far as you know - I'm colorblind.

Kirishima: Even if you couldn't see that it's green...that emoji is still a heart dude.

Bakugo:

Kirishima: If you add a red heart emoji to my contact in your phone, I won't tell anyone about this. 👀

Having lots of Bakudeku feelings today ;-;

Mina: Izuku, what’s your favorite color?

Izuku, who got hit with a quirk and is now 5yrs. old: Red because it’s the color of Kacchan’s eyes

Sero: Well, what about your favorite number?

5yr. old Izuku: Four because Kacchan was born in April

Kaminari: How about your favorite letter?

5yr. old Izuku: K for Kacchan!

Kirishima whispering to Katsuki: Did you know this?

Katsuki madly blushing because of Izuku’s answers: No

Loving the idea that Izuku is a morning person but just has a really hard time waking up/ Katsuki who hates mornings but wakes up because he refuses to waste time in bed past a strict 8 hrs.

Soo umm… am I tripping or is there something specific when it comes to Bakugo, Deku and ‘right’s’?

Because like….

When Bakugo got kidnapped by the L.O.V his right eye was covered and in ch. 362 Bakugo’s right eye is covered once again (with his own blood/closed) AND he is thinking about Deku in both panels

and…

Deku reaching out to Bakugo with his right arm/hand and Bakugo’s right hand is hidden signifying that he won’t accept Deku’s hand/help and when Bakugo slowly starts to accept his feelings his right hand is finally out in the open

and…

Them both starting off with a right hook

and…

when they talk about each other in some specific/special way they show a part of their right side. Bakugo’s panel is showing him looking at his right hand meanwhile Deku’s panel is showing Bakugo’s right side

and…

Bakugo ends up supporting himself on the right side of Deku both in the ova and a episode on S5

Yeah, this scene.

Well, it’s literally one of my favorite moments because of how romantic it is.

Chasing after your childhood friend, who you’ve just had an argument with, catching your breath, then confessing your love your deepest, darkest secret.(Wait, but those are the same thing.)

Imagine a protagonist chasing his love interest and skidding to a halt to declare his devotion to her. “I will never stop chasing after you.”

This scene creams trope. It fckin oozes cliché. And I love it.

look at the way izuku & katsuki look at eachother. Now imagine two platonic best friends looking at eachother that way. You can't, because they are not best friends, they are gay.

Interesting bit about Bakugo’s character:

His eyes.

.

I was scrolling through some old liked videos on tiktok, and I encountered a post by user ttenkos (on tiktok) about how Katsuki’s eyes are hidden when he experiences a lot of hurt and emotion.

Because of that, it’s likely he’s crying here, they argued. (below)

Or he’s at least really hurt, and it’s apparent in his eyes.

And so a lot of us have made that connection. That Katsuki hides his face because he’s about to or is crying.

But like, I finally put two and two together and realized just how significant Katsuki’s eyes are—

Bakugo’s eyes betray his emotions.

Which is a trait unlike of any other character in My Hero.

This is established in the first damn chapter of the manga.

Bakugou’s eyes are like literally the thing that propelled this story forward because when Bakugo was shouting insults and blasting his quirk, they exposed his fear and motivated Izuku to act.

Then… Izuku tells Bakugo his secret. And the whole time, Bakugo is on the verge of crying.

From puffy eyes to a clouded glare, there’s something about his eyes in every panel.

He hides behind his hair for a while, and after that it’s revealed…

That Katsuki is crying :(

I love this scene so much. Wanna give it a kiss on the cheek /// there’s so much insight into their characters!

That same pattern is shown here:

And in that scene with Endeavor. But this time, he doesn’t cry when his eyes are exposed. Which I think says as much about his character as the previous examples.

And then there’s this, finally.

Yeah baby, that’s what I’ve been waiting for. That’s what it’s all about.

Anyways, there wasn’t really a point to this post. I just love what Horikoshi does with Bakugo’s character, and this little quirk (haha) of Bakugo just has a special place in my heart. So I wanted to share :)
