The whole point of No Kings is that there are No Kings. This does not just apply to Trump. It applies to all monarchies and wannabe monarchies.

Saying "No Tyrants" is an objection to the character of an individual leader, but saying "No Kings" is an objection to a type of rule that inherently excludes the representation of the majority.

When we say No Kings, we are objecting to being ruled by an authority. Our "leaders" work for us. We do not work for them. Period.

PLEASE DON’T IGNORE ME!!

My four-year-old sister Soso has caught chickenpox from other children. It would be fine if her body hadn’t been weakened to the extreme by almost two years of malnutrition, sickness, poor life conditions, lack of sleep and lack of access to clean water. She’s very sick and won’t stop crying. She’s battling a high fever while baking in the intense summer heat. All I can do is fan her face with a piece of paper because we don’t even have windows to shield us.

Until now, we held on to our gold rings because they held sentimental value, but yesterday we sold them to buy medicine for her. As painful as it was to part with this last piece of our old lives, it’s not enough. She needs more medicine, she needs food, she needs clean water. I can’t bear watching her deteriorate anymore, what is her fault?!

Please help me help her. She’s only four, how is this fair? At the very least please share this post if you see it. You might not be able to donate, but someone out there can and we need to reach them. Please!!

Whenever there is an internet blackout in Gaza, it becomes even more dangerous than it was before.

I'm making another post to bring attention to a fundraiser that has been extremely slow in receiving donations, and has very very few donations. As of me writing this post, they have not received a donation in 5 days.

Jamal could also use some help in anybody else willing to adopt his fundraiser: that is, to make posts bringing attention to his fundraiser every so often and remain in contact with him, his blog is @jamal-aldahdouh. He only has a couple people helping him and regularly doing this. If not, I ask that people please give attention to this fundraiser and reblog it whenever you see it, and maybe even tag others in the post.

Genuinely where do you start with him because you have so many threads to pull at and they are all knotted together anyways but it’ s . Last of the Protheans born during the end of the cycle who only knew life as military and sacrifice and fear and dead and repeat . Then you send him 50k in the future and he’ s right back where he started . Last thing he was told was a VI saying he will be a voice of their people . But what does he know of his people outside of death ? How much of what he was raised being told was just extreme apocalyptic propaganda to keep him shooting for a day longer.

Had a crew . Had to kill his crew . Had to kill his crew as they started to hunt him down instead of just being dead because they got indoctrinated. Plans to kill himself once he learns of this. Last thing he wants is to see the reapers die and then he can finally die as well because his purpose is a weapon , that is what he is . Vengeance completed . We are dealing with a guy who’ s whole existence is childhood trauma and complex ptsd who cannot admit that is what Happened to him because that would be admitting the empire was wrong . The empire was wrong and then his whole world and existence cracks .

Living in a world constantly asking you for answers on your people and your culture when you have no answer and , in fact , you know less than what they do . The citadel was long lost before Javik was born . So many cites and ruins and technology was lost or forgotten or not longer functional when he was born . He doesn’ t know who his people was before the Reapers , he only knows who they were during the final years , and whatever he was told that wasn’ t combat training or reaper movements of the looming knowledge he was born to die .

And who’ s to even say the things he knows are correct . How much of it was propaganda or war time extremism that only existed in those final years . He talks of it as how it has Always been and how it Should always be , but how can he know ? If this is what he was constantly fed , how can he know that they are wrong ? And it is fifty Thousand years later . There is no one else to ask . He is the last living thing of the empire he claims . So , then what ?

He is an echo of an echo , he is repeating what he knows because that is all he has . He has only known the threat of extinction his whole life . His life has no meaning . He doesn’ t know how to give it meaning . He is Misery concentrated . But he is so fucking spiteful . Avatar of Vengeance . His name matters less than what he is to be used for .

And there is a part of him that wishes it different . Maybe if I was a scholar . Maybe . Maybe if I wasn’ t born to slaughter and be slaughtered and born for the dying glory of the empire . It’ s barely there , barely kicking , barely a fleeting idea . But it is there . Something subconscious tucked away within everything else he has packed away . Compartmentalize within the compartments and never look at it again
