FLOAT: to put forward an idea or to suggest something - then follow that notion or thought through to create a tangible image.

FLOAT: to move lightly and gracefully or hover slowly in the air - a cloud floats across the sky, an aeroplane drifts toward the horizon, a Ferris wheel momentarily suspended in air. Pieces of cut, torn, or found paper float over one another until the composition is decided to form a collage.

FLOAT: to rest on the surface of a liquid without sinking. Ink or paint is floated on the surface of water in the process of hand marbling paper. Patterns form which can be carefully transferred to a paper surface. Each pattern is unique.
