[NEWS] Pyxis to disband

This morning, Galaxy Entertainment announced that their five-member girl group, Pyxis, would be disbanding this year, after spending two years together. 

With heavy hearts we must announce that Pyxis will be disbanding this year.

This was not an easy decision to make, especially not for any of the group members, and it is not a choice that was made lightly. Talks were had amongst the members and with management and after some time it was ultimately decided by all parties involved that the best plan of action was to dissolve Pyxis. 

All of the group members wish to follow different paths in life. As none of the members wanted to continue on without each other, it was decided that Pyxis would not go on as a group in any form. 

So far, it has been confirmed that Byeol will be moved to sub-label SNE and will continue on as a solo artist. The fates of the rest of the members are, as of yet, unknown. 

UPDATE #1: All five members will be present for one final comeback before the group disbands. An official date has not yet been set but Galaxy has stated that they wish to take their time planning and perfecting their last comeback and are aiming for a release date before May.

UPDATE #2: It has been confirmed that members Minseo and Moci will be leaving Galaxy following the group’s final comeback.

[NEWS] CKS’s Jeong and CJ confirmed to be dating

After the events that transpired during CKS’s most recent VLIVE stream, Galaxy Entertainment has confirmed that members Yang Jeong and Yo Joonsuh (CJ) are dating. 

While we regret that things had to be confirmed in such a hasty and abrupt fashion, both Jeong and Joonsuh would like to confirm that they are happily dating and have been for some time.

We wish them the best of luck going forward and thank you all in advance for your understanding and support.

[NEWS] Kyungwon makes statement following comments made by Park Ryung

Following his departure from Galaxy Entertainment and the subsequent lawsuit, Park Ryung broke his silence and made a few comments regarding the situation surrounding Kyungwon’s decision to leave earlier in the year.

Galaxy was quick to make a response, stating Park’s claims were “unfounded, abhorrent and dishonest” and that Kyungwon’s decision to leave was for his personal benefit and wellbeing and had nothing to do with his relationship with his former members.

The label reached to Kyungwon for a public comment and he had this to say on the matter:  

He’s lashing out at my sexuality because of his insecurities. He wasn’t my favourite, we grew distant, and he’s upset about it. I’m neither confirming nor denying his claims on my sexuality, but I spent four years with that group. If I’d had ‘urges’, don’t you think I’d have left sooner? I’m not an idol any longer, I don’t care what the public think of me. But I refuse to allow my former groupmates, my family, to be considered as low as Park Ryung.

Jongjoon, current leader of TITAN, made a post on Instagram containing a handwritten letter from himself addressing the matter and rumors circulating around. Jongjoon’s letter read:  

Hello, this is Titan’s Jongjoon.

I hope you understand that this letter will be deleted once this situation has been resolved. I am eager for the time when we will no longer have to cling to the ugliness of the past and I will not keep these messages on my account once that time comes. However, I think it’s important that we reach out to you now. 

In short, the claims Park Ryung (River) has made in regards to Kyungwon’s behaviour are false.  

If I were to say the same in more words, Yoo Kyungwon is one of the best men that I have had the pleasure of working with. All of Titan are hard-working, kind-hearted and talented individuals with beautiful hearts and minds and I am honored to have had the chance to spend the last several years working alongside them. Though only nine of our family will physically remain once this year ends, I will continue to look forward to working with the men Titan will be comprised of. In the years to come, I look forward to watching and cheering on Kihun from the studio next door.

In the years to come, if I have any say in the matter, Kyungwon will continue to be a dear friend to me. And I can confidently say, on behalf of all of Alpha and Titan as a whole, that even though his absence leaves a huge hole in our hearts and a voice, talent and warmth that cannot possibly be replaced, we wish Kyungwon nothing but the best in the life that he pursues and hope to stand with him at every step, hand in hand, as we all cheer each other on going forward. 

I am honest when I say that Titan has become a family to me. That we have become a family to each other. Something as small as a change in occupation will not erase the cherished bonds that we have made over the last four years.

To our fans, I, on behalf of the rest of Titan, apologize for the noise. The last few months have been difficult and the rest of the year promises to be harder still as change looms around the corner. These are scary and uncertain times for all of us but I selfishly ask for your continued support and patience. When the last month of the year finally comes, our eleven sets of arms hope to greet you one last time, before some of us part ways for the last time. When that time comes, I hope we can say our farewells and promise to see each other again with smiles on our faces and love in our hearts. 

We cannot thank you enough for your understanding.
