Besides being beautiful, many plants and flowers are special to me because of their history or where they come from.
Yarrow, snapdragons, Persian carpet zinnia - growing in the potager of a homestead where I love to help out. The zinnia seeds came home with me from the Dallas arboretum in Texas, when I flew there to watch the solar eclipse.
Daffodils, "first love" dianthus, and purslane - growing in my garden at home. The daffodils are the first ones I have ever seen in person, and purslanes first brought me joy when I planted them after buying a house and moving out for the first time.
Succulents - When I was working as a plumber, I complimented a customer on her beautiful bed of succulents, so she sent me home with two grocery bags full of them. Several of them decorated the dash of my plumbing van for weeks before all eventually being planted throughout my garden and shared as gifts with my friends and family. I've moved back in with my parents since then, but the pieces I brought with me continue to thrive.

A little bouquet of edible things. Hyacinth bean, yarrow, broccoli flowers, carrot leaf, tassel flower, and an edible Florida native I forgot the name of.
