also, deer are simultaneously satan’s weakest and strongest soldiers. they die like hamsters or survive things that really should have killed them. biting the dust from an internal hemorrhage after jumping over a fence or surviving 10+ years with an arrow imbedded in their side. fate rolls the dice on every injury and they either get a 0 or a 20. keeping them alive is hard. killing them is also hard.

Blob sculpin - psychrolutes phrictus

Also known as the blob fish. They are deep sea fishes that tend to be solitary. 

The males tend to take care of the eggs until they hatch.

Their bodies are very gelatinous, that's where the name comes from, and it helps them spend less energy staying afloat, it gives them the buoyancy they need.

The ones you see that are pink and sad are decompressed and probably on the verge of death.

Their shape, color and faces makes me happy as well as the way they exist.

I've been holding on to this announcement because I'm a little superstitious. But now that he's settled in and everyone in the house has been successfully introduced, I feel ready to officially introduce the newest addition to everyone else.

Anyone who has known me long enough knows I love the little guys, and Fiver (Accolade Thunder Roars Adventure) the toy fox terrier has filled a place that's been empty for a long time. He's spunky and cuddly and has enough fetch/food drive for ten dogs. I'm so excited to see what I can build with this guy, and so ready to learn everything he has to teach me.
