He shook his hand contently. “It’s a pleasure too, Peter! Beaches you say?” There was a slightly approving tone in his voice. “I already like you, you have a great taste.”

He let go off his hand and made a gesture for Peter to follow him and started walking. “Of course we have! The best beaches ever, trust me.” Now he was completely back to feel secure of the potential of his place. “And we do have a big Aquarium here, the biggest of all South America. Where did you come from? Are there much beaches in your area?”

   The smile eased into a friendly, hopeful one. The way this man, Jorge, seemed to bounce from one mood to another was curious; Peter didn’t know what caused Jorge’s sour mood earlier (if it wasn’t that he had to help this helpless tourist around), but if being able to show the likes of Peter his home with great pride lifted the man’s spirits, then hey, another reason to enjoy this tour. There was nothing more refreshing than meeting another person who had so much pride in a place they call home.

    “Peter,” he said, holding his hand out for a shake. “My name’s Peter. It’s nice to meet you, Jorge.” He then added, “I honestly like all of those things. I think my most favorite, though, would be beaches or aquariums. This place seems to have a lot here, though, from what I heard about it.”
