it fucks me up that gender assignment of kids is something even most cis "allies" just expect us to be okay with. they will listen and nod along to you telling them about the trauma you endured as a trans person growing up and then they'll turn around and force gender norms on others from birth because they didn't actually learn anything. bleak.
