this is atypical f1blr content, but it's something i'm really passionate about, so if it flops it flops.

as part of a team, i design small (300kg) single-seater electric race cars for a university-level design competition, and i figured out most of it by pirating vehicle dynamics textbooks off the internet.

i want people to know how i did it! i want people to look at an explanation of my work and realize they could probably do it too! even if my explanation is kind of insane and energy drink-fueled and full of references to a textbook that i'll totally send you a pdf of if you want.

and i think where i am going with this is; engineering isn't that hard. you just need someone willing to explain it to you (optional: explain it well). anyone who tells you engineering is prohibitively hard either; (1) is not very good at it, then, or (2) is actively trying to prevent you from getting to make cool shit.
