It is genuinely fucking mind boggling that some people think it's good for Iran to have nukes because "they aren't going to actually use them. It's a preventative measure against the US and Israel"
Oh I didn't know that you have more Intel than over 30 countries about irans intentions with nukes. Please enlighten me, random person online who has no relevant qualifications or experience, do tell me more so I can believe you instead of 30+ fucking countries

Regarding the claim that "Jews say any criticism of Israel is antisemitic!" - a response to allegations of antisemitism that I used to think was pretty recognisable as something a neo-nazi would offer as an excuse but which, with the appropriate dogwhistles, has apparently become increasingly popular on the left - I'll say this much:
That would be a ridiculous claim to make either IRL or on most places on the internet. It's an even more ridiculous claim to make on this site, where for years Jews have been posting and spreading literal guides on how to criticise Israel without being antisemitic. The people who say "Jews call any criticism of Israel antisemitic!" for some reason seem unaware of the existence of these guides, or at least uninterested in following them
By contrast, I have never once seen one of the people who uses that excuse to dismiss antisemitism offer any sort of advice for how to point out antisemitism without being a cryptozionist CIA psyop undermining the left. Granted, the idea of a gentile dictating to Jews how to speak up against antisemitism makes me wanna hurl, but clearly the people using that excuse don't have the same problem so it is surprising they've not done it yet
(That was sarcasm, but anyone pissed off because they think I'm talking about them is welcome to prove me wrong by actually listening to Jews about left-wing antisemitism. And not just the Jews you sat down for a talk about how you'll have to cut them off if they keep spreading Zionist propaganda claiming that left-wing antisemitism exists)

It is very easy to pretend antisemitism isn't a real problem/is a distraction, if you just accuse every Jew who points out antisemitism of making stuff up to silence people. Just like it's very easy to pretend the same thing about, say, transphobia. Rhetorically speaking, dismissing accusations of antisemitism on the basis that "the jews are weaponizing it to silence us!" isn't that distinct from Republicans fearmongering about how in California you'll get arrested for calling someone the wrong pronoun
It is also very easy to ignore that that's exactly what this rhetoric is and exactly what it's for, if you just admonish anyone who points this out for glossing over the "fact" that "Jews really are weaponizing antisemitism to silence us!"

Russian President Vladimir Putin believes “all of Ukraine is ours,” he declared last week. The Kremlin leader’s revealing statement is an indication of the increasingly confident mood in Moscow as Russia continues to make slow but steady progress on the Ukrainian battlefield against a backdrop of deepening Western disunity. It also serves as a timely reminder of the unapologetic Russian imperialism that is driving Europe’s largest invasion since World War II.
Putin’s comments came on June 20 during his headliner appearance at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a flagship annual event that is often referred to as Russia’s Davos. “I have said many times that I consider the Russian and Ukrainian peoples to be one people. In this sense, all of Ukraine is ours,” Putin told forum guests. “We have an old rule. Wherever a Russian soldier sets foot is ours.”
Tellingly, Putin’s claim that “all of Ukraine” belongs to Russia was met with what appeared to be spontaneous laughter and applause from many of those attending the St. Petersburg event. This strikingly enthusiastic audience reaction says much about the normalization of imperialistic sentiment in today’s Russia after more than eleven years of the country’s colonial war against neighboring Ukraine.

It really fucking is all misogyny isn't it
Every fucking thread of transphobia goes back to a fundamental need to cement completely immutable sex categories so cis men can assert themselves as superior on some level
Trans women are seen as perverse degradations of the male ideal, people who "chose" womanhood, who are read as women for persecution but not for protection, who are sexualized and assaulted the same as any woman. "Choosing" womanhood is so unthinkable in our misogynist society that brains scramble to think of why anyone would do it, and every trans woman is living proof that womanhood is empowering
Trans men aren't allowed in the club, because if masculinity can be "earned" instead of granted, it implies that men aren't intrinsically superior but made and maintained, and that someone who could have been a good little baby maker housewife realizes that that's not the fate they want
It's so fucking like. Basic shit. 101. How is it difficult. I'm sorry but I just. Fuck. How is this hard.
