I know this is rage bait, and likely a joke, but I want to respond to it because I feel like we don’t address a lot of things as a community immersed in queer culture.

I’m not a man, or gay, so I can’t speak on this with full merit, but I am a woman (I’m not heterosexual either), and I think that gives me space to talk about a few things.

Can we please stop bringing misogyny into the gay community?

Being a “bottom” doesn’t make you less of a man. And being a woman doesn’t automatically mean you’re the more submissive partner in relationships.

Addressing Harry with femme pronouns has nothing to do with his preferences in bed or his partner dynamics. Another thing that I see a lot is the assignment of heteronormative roles to gay relationships based on body types. Louis may be shorter than Harry. He may have a more “feminine” shape, but that means NOTHING. Doesn’t make him a “bottom”, and it doesn’t make him a girl. But if they do fall into those categories, who really gives a shit?!

That being said, being a “bottom” or a “top” does not translate to submissiveness or dominance. It’s a preference that legit means nothing about a person in the grand scheme of things. The only reason people associate those traits with sexual roles is because of misogyny and the historical oppression women have been subjected to for having anatomy that is typically penetrated.

The fact that so many people are comfortable discussing the sex lives of, and putting labels on, real people is concerning. Fiction is one thing, but reinforcing stereotypes in reality is harmful. Not only to H & L, but to the gay and lesbian communities, women, and all non-gender-conforming people.

I am shocked because I am seeing the same larries attacking Louis for this whole circus. This situation has only hurt him in every way and I am very worried about his career. And I don't want to be pessimistic but something tells me that this is the goal of this, they want to make him look bad, I just need to know why. Several ideas come to mind but I don't think it's any of them. We just have to have faith in the future, as Louis has told us repeatedly.

Twitter/X since the beginning has been full of fights both from the larries and the solos and the tweets of a few hours ago had the purpose of adding fuel to the fire....
