I know it’s frustrating, but keep doing your thing because there are people out there that love you and love your work. Hohenheim returning home for Ed and Winry's wedding after he went on another journey (he didn't die after the events of FMAB) and the immortal being shocked to find Edward's childhood friend (reader) has grown into a women. They re-bond at the wedding and slowly grow closer afterwards while he settles back into Ed and Al's life. Reader only later confesses the feelings she's had for him for years. Anyways... something like that. I understand if this'd make you too uncomfortable to write.

It’s alright! Sorry I took so long to post this though.

I changed Reader’s relationship with Ed and Al slightly, is that alright? Because the two boys seem like, 3 when Hohenheim left and if that’s the case, then Reader should be… around 18 - 20 when Ed and Winry’s wedding took place, so I changed her age to 10 when the two boys were 3. They still are “childhood friends” though, technically.

Oh, and a (more like several) huge, huge spoiler for those who haven’t got to the end of Brotherhood.

He could not forget that day…

He knew that his son married Winry… and that his other sonhas grown close with the Xingese princess May Chang. However, the biggestchange that made him gasp (audibly, mind you) slightly was [Name] [Surname].

Instead of the cute girl he had remembered her as (she wasten at that time, if his memory served him well) who looked after his two boys,she, after all these years, had matured into a magnificent woman.

Ba-bump.

 He hated to admit it, but his heart jumped like a Goddamn sappy teenager when his ancient eyes layupon her form.

And to say that she was angry was an understatement. On no,she was furious. Absolute furious.But relieved.

Furious at the fact that he left Trisha (who was like amother to the gir- no, now she is a woman),and never once returned… and when he did, he was too late.

Relieved that he was, at least, alive.

So she did what anyone did.

Slapped him. Followed immediately by a hug.

The two bonded afterwards, chatting merrily about their(more like Hohenheim’s) life more than a decade ago and laughing at hisadventures when misfortune rained upon him.

 Life seemed to settle into a peaceful rhythm. Even if Edwardcould no longer use alchemy, he still passed everyday with a smile, Alphonesewas still the loveable brother of Edward and Winry was just… well, themagnificent Winry.

There were several aspects that the man never thought he wouldhave noticed. Such as the fact that [Name]’s [eye colour] orbs seemed to lightup more whenever he was present, or her laughter would become more high-pitchedas she laughed… or how utterly warm and how perfecther smaller hand would fit in with his-

Of course, he only found thatout when they did a handshake.

Truth to be told, there were some getting-use-to after hesuddenly just reappeared in his sons’ and [Name]’s lives, but as the daysturned to weeks, and weeks flashed into months, Resembool was as lively asever.

Well, as lively as a tiny town/countryside could be.

And today, on this particular day, a particular eventhappened outside of Hohenheim’s imagination.

Yes, even a man like him can be surprised.

And what made him feel that way?

Well…

“A-actually Hohenheim… I…” [Name] started, her cheeks ablazeand fidgeting with her fingers… all in all, she looked pretty cute in hisopinion, “I…”

Taking a depth breath, her [eye colour] met his, and theblond was a bit taken back at the intensity of her eyes, not to mention he wasutterly captivated by those [eye colour] orbs.

 “I- the thing is… for the last few months, you had beengiving me this… feeling, as if I waswalking on air when your laughter reached my ears, especially if I was thereason… and when your eyes met mine, my whole body shut down, as if I wasparalysed… and I know that you don’t see me this way… and I can never be Trishabut what I wanted to s-say is… I love you.”

The woman squeaked out a noise (again, pretty cute in hisopinion) when her head was met with a sturdy chest. Hohenheim was hugging her.

“… I know [Name]…”

The way her name rolled off his tongue sent slight shiversdown her spine.

“… While Trisha was the love of my life… you, [Name][Surname], are you. So don’t ever worryabout not being able to be Trisha… because you two are different people, bothunique and magnificent in each of your ways… and- well, if you are wonderingwhether or not I’m rejecting your feelings…”

As the wind blew gently, rustling the luscious grassoutside, their lips met in a sweet but short kiss.

“[Name] [Surname]… I believe I love you too.”

The woman giggled, a blush spread across her cheeks, “Nowall we have to do is tell Ed and Al! And everyone.”

“Yes… I just hope Ed won’t kill me when that happens… afterall, he holds you high in his mind.”

Needless to say, Hohenheim did receive a kick to the face,although Edward fully supported their relationship.

 Envy stared at the message from two weeks ago, eyes slightlybloodshot as he burnt a hole through his monitor. His arm slid off hisforehead, without energy, as he sighed for the millionth time.

Sitting up, he scratched his head, feeling knots underneathbut not attempting to smooth it out. Stifling a yawn, the male stood up,feeling weightless for the first time… no, no, it was as if he threw everythingout… and now, he was just an empty shell.

His room was in a similar shape, with the bed sheet in amessy pile, books scattered hazardously and some with missing pages, victims ofhis anger, of course.

Ever since that dreadful break up he and [Name] went through,he was cooped up in that dorm room of his, not even attempting to eat (It was meaningless, he thought as hisgluttonous friend – pun unintended – would just leave plates in front of hisdoor) and the only time he stepped outside was to use the toilet.

Thus it was no surprise that the smell was putrid.

Envy knew that he should apologise… and at least make upwith [Name]. But he can’t… he just can’t.

Not because of his pride. Oh no, it’s just… how on Earth was he going to make up when hedoesn’t even remember why they broke up in the first place?!

 Was he acting envious of another girl again? (Perhaps)

Was he in an argument with [Name]? (Perhaps)

Was he-

“Envy.” The door slammed open, revealing a tall, slim woman,“You really need to sort your life out.”

“Oh, it’s just you, Lust.” Without even looking up, Envyreplied, devoid of emotion

“Listen, I may not what you are going through… however, thisbreak up with [Name] is eating you from the inside… and her as well. So youreally need to either get over her, as ruthless as it sounds but you just can’tliving like this, or-”

“I don’t care Lust!”

“You do, too much,which is why you have become an empty shell of your former self.” She statedthe truth, “Envy… go. Right now. Go to [Name]. Even if your relationship mightnever be the same again, at least end iton a note which doesn’t involve the both of you spiralling into depression.”

The male sighed as Lust stayed there against his will. Itwasn’t long until she too audibly sighed before leaving his room, gentlingclosing the door.

Glancing around, the genderless palm tree malealready knew that Lust was right… he really should pick up the shards that[Name] had gifted him with…

Though… it was his fault that they got in this situation.

He chuckled, and a finger-less gloved hand covered his eyes.

“Heh… I really am pathetic…”

Without another word, the waterworks leaped out… as yetagain, the comfort of his precious [Name] was absent.

Can I have headcanons for a modern au envy having a crush on someone? Tysm!

Crush? What crush?! Poor man, he first thought that he was envious of his crush

Once he realises that it is a full-on crush though, guess what? He’ll blush a brilliant shade of red

I imagine that it would be around his crush when Envy realises, with the way the wind caresses their hair and that soft smile, highlighted by the     setting Sun… well, poor Envy became speechless. They better have a camera ready to snap some pictures for later (or blackmail)

Pick-up lines. He is like the personification of them… never running out of ideas.

Being envious is his personality, and so he will always try and show off to his crush, so that they will never look at anyone else.

- He would be 50-50 happy and sad to tell you the truth! Happy that his S/O is such a badass person he could admire and sad that he couldn’t be their knight in shining armour anymore.

- He also would be quite proud. It’s like, a secret that only he and his S/O know, so he would think that he’s quite special in his S/O’s life for his S/O to show him that. (Does that even make sense? In other words, it’s like he earned his S/O’s trust for them to show him that)

Greed

- Teases the heck out of his S/O like the shit he is. Still, if his S/O kicks his butt because of that, he would be so, so proud of them.

- Still would act pretty possessive of his S/O even though they could clearly handle themselves just fine in most situations. Why? He is the sin of Greed you know.

Roy Mustang

- “Finally, I can have someone stand up to Lt. Hawkeye! Darliiiinggggg~” (be prepared Roy, be very prepared for two ass-kicking females chasing you)

- Still would think that his S/O is cute. Like, way too cute for this world even though they are capable of kicking his ass if they wanted.

- So proud of his S/O that they could legitimately kick someone’s a-hole! But he also makes a mental note to try and not piss his S/O as much. It did not work.

Envy’s SO finding out that he’s a homunculus

- Well, at least they would understand why Envy wouldn’t want a serious relationship. Since he’s practically immortal, his SO would surely leave him behind… (someone give the guy a huge hug)

- Envy would be quite relieved. Telling them his hugest secret (one of them anyway) lifts a massive boulder off his chest, and when he found out that his SO would not leave him solely because he’s not, well, entirely human, he would do something very un-Envy like. (use your imagination guys!)

- Envy would definitely show-off his shape-shifting skills, and give his SO a huge scare at the same time. One second minute you’re talking to Envy, the next you’re having a very inappropriate topic with the Fuhrer himself! (before they know that the Fuhrer is also a homunculus of course)

Extra (NSFW) - Now that his SO know Envy could shape-shift, be prepared to have loads of fun while having sex~ (once he turned into Roy and his SO banned him from having sex for three weeks, along with not being able to look at the said colonel in the eye for ages)
