“i’m considering whether i should put up a timer or not. i’m really bad with timezone conversions, and i’m pretty sure i’ll be promoting then.” more of a conundrum than was worthwhile, sung had been rolling over his thoughts since he heard about the early release of taylor swift’s long version of one of her songs. to anyone not privy to the entire ordeal, it’d sound even more useless than it already was. to sung, though, these were important thoughts to think through. music releases, especially those from a songwriter as masterful as ms. swift, were things sung always wanted to keep up on.

mostly, he only hoped he wasn’t being too boring to the person he was speaking to. he turned his head to the side to look at the other, and their lips curled into an easy smile. “i’m quite excited nonetheless. it feels like it’s been so long since she first announced the new release, and it’s so soon now, but also so far away. the closer it gets, the more i’m wondering how i can pass the days. i feel that way sometimes with group releases too, but it’s more now, i think because of how much it all means. do you get that way too? where you feel like, you might just burst?”

There was something about seeing others happy and excited that made Daehyun just as happy and excited. Perhaps he was the kind of empathetic person who felt what others were feeling. Maybe he was just happy to be spending time with one of his idols that he naturally got excited. Listening to Sung talk about how much he was anticipating Taylor Swift’s new album made Daehyun grin. He listened to the elder male eagerly. ❝ Well, do you know exactly when it comes out, hyung? Maybe you can time things well enough to catch the release in time. The biggest problem would be the timezone difference. ❞

Daehyun looked over in time to return the other’s smile. He himself had never heard a Taylor Swift song. He didn’t really know much about her. The only thing he knew about her was that she was a singer. He’d heard enough talk over the years to at least know that. Daehyun’s knowledge of other artists was limited to those inside of Korea. Still, for some reason, Daehyun wanted to know who Taylor was just so he could understand Joosung’s excitement and anticipation. He nodded at the other’s question. ❝ Of course! Who hasn’t felt that way? Especially those in our industry. The anticipation and excitement can make you feel like you’ll literally burst. I understand that feeling, hyung. ❞ He smiled brightly.

Cloud has made a “Beautiful” comeback with the release of their latest title track music video!

1-1=0 (Nothing Without You) is the repackage of Cloud’s last album 1X1=1 (To Be One). Their last comeback earned the group their first ever chart-topper and they’re riding that high into their latest release, led by EDM pop-ballad “Beautiful”. The music video has been released in its “movie version”, directed by a director most known for heading several Korean films.

The repackage album includes five new songs including the title track and new intro and outro tracks. The mini-album comes in two versions: Cloud and Heart.

☸ RETREAT ☸

It was nice of their company to provide them with this little getaway. Sometimes it was good to just relax and have fun without having to worry about the public and the possibility of scandals. Daehyun adored Jeju and so when he’d found out the company retreat was to be held there he’d jumped in excitement. Plus, it gave the vocalist a chance to spend time with his twin sister.

Humming to himself as he walked around the pension, Daehyun looked around and observed various interactions and friendships. It was always interesting for him seeing idols interacting in public and in private. A lot of idols seemed more relaxed around each other when in private. He shook his head to focus on his task at hand. He’d lost his twin sister and was now in search of Rina.

Stepping outside, Daehyun looked around quickly. That’s when he spied a familiar face. Of all the groups in BC that weren’t his own, Daehyun was probably the closest to Candy. Of course, it helped that his sister was a member. Grinning, Daehyun skipped up to the female and noticed she appeared to be in somewhat of a daze. He frowned softly. ❝ Alice! Helllo. Earth to Alice. Are you ok? ❞ He tilted his head slightly to the side as he waited with a smile.

☸ BEAUTIFUL ☸

With each new year and each new comeback, Daehyun is learning more and more how to fit into his leader role. When Cloud first debuted, Daehyun had zero idea about the industry, let alone how to be a leader. He struggled at first with the extra responsibilities (and sometimes pressure), but he survived and learned something new as time went on. He’d like to think that the kind of leader he is today is different (and hopefully better) than the leader he was back then.

Cloud were currently on set getting ready to film their new music video. He’d only just found out the director was a big Hollywood director and his excitement only increased. Daehyun often got excited when it came to filming of any kind so him being extra excited meant he would bug his members during breaks. Unfortunately for @fmdharu​, he was the closest member to Daehyun currently.

Practically skipping over to the younger male, food in hand, Daehyun smiled brightly. ❝ Hannie! ❞ He greeted through a mouthful of food and a grin. ❝ How exciting is this? A Hollywood director! Are you as excited as I am? ❞ He reached into his pocket and pulled out a snack. ❝ Want some? ❞

“c’mon, there has to be one song that of ours that’s a bit harder than yours.” just one. “not only do we dance, we have to be bright and bouncy as well.” which, was a lot of work when you wanted to frown. it was hard to explain to daehyun that it was more of an emotion thing, she should be respectful right? “but you can have them, if we put you in a wig, i don’t people will know the difference.” she giggled, thinking about it. “you’d be a better rina than i will.” 

maybe not when it came to acting, that was hers. “thank you but it’s fine, i know the moves.” she did, right now she was working on making them better. “i guess, it’s the feeling i’m missing.” there wasn’t a way for her to connect with the lyrics. “i’m not having the fun the song is telling everyone to have.”

Talk about bright and bouncy. ❞ He chuckled. Of course it was natural for both twins to get competitive. He let out a soft laugh at her suggestion. ❝ I would probably make a decent Rina. Maybe even more so than you I agree, ❞ he teased playfully. ❝ Then you can become Hyun and we’ll see who has it harder. ❞ He paused. ❝ Though you’d probably do better than me at being Hyun. ❞

He nodded and smiled softly at his twin sister. ❝ Well we can work on that. Let’s try and think about what you’re supposed to be feeling and how to get there. Do you have your lyrics with you? ❞
