Outcome
When it comes to the creation of my assets and models I feel that I have achieved my theme and brief. This is because I have made models that are futuristic. I have also made all of the objects that I proposed I would do at the beginning. However I feel that in future I could use substance painters more predominantly and render more of my models out of these. In terms of the Fmp brief i also feel that i have been successful as i have planned and research and with this taken it further by creating models that have reflected on this i have also looked into things that inform and inspire my ideas throughout as well as i have learned skills through my research this is because i have watched many tutorials that helped me get to my final product. My assets also somewhat  reflect the theme of elements as I have created an experimental machine (this links because elements on the periodic table help to make the transportation of the humans mind) that takes people into a virtual world.
Conclusion
In conclusion I feel that my project has gone to plan as I have tried to stick to a time plan through this means that I knew what I was going to be doing that week. When creating my assets, I also was able to get an evaluation from some friends, one of which said “you should try and  render some more of your models and add textures to them” . I did this for my models. However, to improve in the future I will make sure to render out more.  I also feel that I have been able to get all of the research done on tumbler however in future i will make sure to look at even more types of media.

here is the finished product of the machine that will take people into the virtual i have looked at many different varieties of these types of machines over the course of this project however i knew that i wanted to create a bed or pod like machine this is because like in the matrix these machines are easy to stack. in order to create this first i built out the basic shape using Maya i then duplicated this and then added different lambert colours onto different parts of the model this would mean that i could easy select the colours in substance and therefore could add the texture on with ease one next i then unwrapped it in the uv editor this means that i could select the colours i exported the two assets the plain and the coloured and exported them into substance first the plain and then baked them with coloured i was then able to use the colour select tool and apply the specific material to the right art of the assets in order to create glass i used the reflective helmet texture and played around the opacity and colour. i then used the real time render built into substance and took a screen shot.

here is a layout of a scene that i created in order to practise my substance painter skills first i created a sofa in Maya creating a high and low poly version and unwrapping them in the uv editor i then put them into substance first the low poly and baked the low ono the high these means that the corners are more smooth and i will be able to create a high poly model i then applied the different materials (the fabric) on the sofa using the layers tab after that i wanted to have the table in the scene so i did exactly the same apart from when apply the texture of wood i have to play around with setting in order to fix some problems that i had with it as it would stretch the material. after that i created a picture frame and was able to add an image into substance by exporting it in and placing it on the uv map. i then wanted to place them into a Realtime render so the best possible option was unreal engine so i exported my models and with the uv maps an models i was able to place them in and create a material and add the base colour and the metallic and roughness of the texture as well as add the normal map i wanted to add texture to the floors and walls so with the unreal engines texture i add the to these and played about with there settings in order to make the fit the setting.

when it first came to creating my rooms i looked a different styles of what it could look like this was one of my concepts that i had that course of the project i have added a few assets into the room however i ended up not really liking it as much as the other that i worked on more and added a lot more detail to. however but it was more similar is was very good in order to practise my substance painter skills as i was able to uses some of the models form this to create a scene. i feel that this room is defiantly not as futuristic as my other house hence why i didn't add more to it however this room was defiantly a good starting point for project.

This is the hallway that i have created because i wanted to really show that these building aren't just one house as if i had more time i would add more and more buildings to this model as like a honeycomb all of these building are in one big tessellating skyscraper. in order to fill this communal space i thought what's the best way and the firts thing that come to mind was vending machines i then duplicated this to fill more of the room i then added in the lighting and pipes that are in each of the rooms. i then wanted to have a different design of stairs so i duplicated a bevelled cube a few tomes and spaced them i then added a hand rail to make it seem more realsitic.

Here i have created the assets for the kitchen i haven't enterally finished this because as you can see in the back i have blocked out the layout for kitchen cupboards but haven't got round to this yet. i have also created a island and bar stools i have also created a le Corbusier chair this was defiantly one of my favourite models to create however i took one of the congests as i had t combine a lot of skills that i had learnt to create this. i have also created a table a tv stand shelving unit i tried to make this looked small and cramped in order to try and sty to my brief that i created for myself.

these are the finish look of the upstairs bed room i have kept the wireframe on one of the images and taken them off on the other this is to show how it would look if it were to be rendered out. i believe that over the course of creating these assets i have achieved what i first set out to do which was to create a futusric house as i have created a variety of futuristic assets and layout out the room in a way that would be used. there is also a lot of small details that have been taken from different things for example as seen in the other pictures i have added in pipes and long hanging lights. i feel that this project has been great in order to improve my skills in turns of creating assets i believe that i have been able to create a lot for the time frame.

nadia a emt for a privately owned militarized healthcare company is a citizen of night city and is the only survivor of a failed rescue mission for the trauma team team international corporation Nadia then agrees on an even more life risking mission and ends up in a even more dangerous situation. i really like the look of this comic especially the look of the characters and flying machines and cars when creating my machine that will take people into the virtual world i will defiantly take inspiration form some of these. i have also looked at the building and have like the ones in the cyberpunk game i have reflected some aspects in my work for example some of the same details such as pipes and rustic materials that really add to the assets.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world dystopian game in which takes place in a futuristic city i really like the art style and look of the game when creating my assets i will look and take inspiration from different aspects of the game especially when i start looking at creating the vehicles for my game. i also will look at it for when i create my buildings as i really like the neon look that all of them project. i also really like the character customization and if i were to create a character i may look at some of the clothes in the game as eventually i would like to use substance design. in cyberpunk there is also a deep dive a cold bath in which players are able to go into another world like state .

redline is an anime film in which drivers from all over the galaxy compete in a head to head race in the most popular event in the galaxy the race also only takes place very 5 years but in order to join this race people must first be on the good side of the mafia. I really like the stylised look of the anime especially the cars if i was to do animation for some of my assets for example the machine opening in future i could make take inspiration from the cartoony vibe and add some of this to it. i also really like the baron look of the planet that race takes place on i think it would have been really good if i could have added some backdrops to my assets next tie if i create assets i will make sure to put more of them into substance.

ready player one is set in the year 2045 on the brink of chaos to find salvage and freedom people have escaped to a virtual world called the oasis a world created by the genius James Halliday after his untimely death h promises a fortune to those who find a secret Easter egg in his world. i really like how the movie portrays this especially the look of the real world how it looks all ruined by when people put on there headset and escape to the virtual world people are transported to a place where the possibilities are endless. when creating my assets i would like to do something like this but i will look more on the real world aspect of the film as it housing really stand outs to me. i also like the idea of the suit and googles that are used i will have something like this to take people to my virtual world.

when creating assets i knew that eventually i wanted to put them into substances painter. so in order to practice i first used my chair asset in order to first put it into substances i created a high a low poly version of the model in Maya next i opened up substance and imported the low and baked the mesh map[s to the high this would mean that i would have smoothed edges on all of my models. the next part is similar to photoshop in the way that you paint on the model using layers textures can also be applied on the map this allows you to selected multiple parts at once. i also used a black mask over a layer of the green steal this meant that oi was able to apply another layer this is when i added the mud to it to make it look warn down and more rustic.

These are just some of my favourite pieces of furniture. on this mood board i have include the works of Marcelk Breuers “wassily” ,ludwig mies van der rohas “Barcelona chair” as well as the le corbusier and the Togo all of which could be considered iconic pieces. i really like the use of the sleek black and silver designs all of these use and when it comes to creating furniture assets i will like to try and take some inspiration from these. i have looked at the works of fashion designers Rick Owens and Virgil abloh. i really like the look of rick Owens dark bold lines and shapes that he uses in his furniture it makes them look very futuristic and abstract. Daniel Arshams furniture which is located at the top left of the page i think will have a big impact on some of my designs as i am a huge fan of his work especially some of his work in fashion as well as sculpture and i love how all of the sofas look inviting and comfy. for some of the assets if i want to make them look very futuristic and out of the world i will definitely  look more at the work of Ron Arad i love his use of silver and materials that look as thought it should be a chair.

when creating the models of my house i created a room that was mainly dedicated to the stairs that would take you to the parent above how're because of this i had an empty space that i wasn't doing anything with so in order to fill this is space i created a vending machine this is because in a lot of hotels they to have them near stairs. first i created a mood board like i do for the majority of my assets and began to model by using ta cube this was very similar to the creation of the book shelf as i also duplicated many objects like the books the cans i lined in a row and duplicate them to make the vending machine look as thought it is filled.

when creating the model of the bed i created a mood board of reference images that i would look and reflect on in the creation of my the model. in order to find these reference images i looked at futuristic beds on google and pintrest (pinterest is one of my main sources of inspiration) in order to create the model first i got a cube and bevelled its edges i the created another cube and scaled it and and with the beveled cube booleaned to make the bed compartment curved i then added in two beveled cubes for a bed and a pillow i then created the shelves the same way as i describe in the blog posts below and arranged them accordingly.

when creating a wardrobe for the characters house i began to look at futuristic furniture and mainly focused on looking at futuristic wardrobes i did this to see if i could take any elements from other pieces.  after that i collected up the images that i like the most and created a mood board that i would base the model of however before i did this i decide to give creating a wardrobe a go and created a very basic one this has definitely taught me that i should always look at references first as once i look at references i then created another one that was much better in order to create this i used the cube and scaled it up and extruded the face to create the create the outside shape. next duplicated it and used the boolean tool after that i created a face of a door by using the extrude tool an shift allowed me to create a cube on a face i the extrude the outside faces to give the face of the cube a edge like a frame. i then used this create the doors and draws however for the doors i just extrude the back face as well.
