asking a bunch of cool clangen blogs (yea you) a question cause I’m working on making one right now- How did you find the main plot based on what clangen generated and make it all mysterious and interesting and stuff?

i already had a mild idea for what i wanted (clan is destroyed -> living members of clan have to rebuild it) and then sort of just... continued building up around it. in the beginning i was just having fun. i think a lot of it originally stemmed from me wanting to make my panels more impactful when events occurred, rather than like, "reedpaw died" and then one panel of everyone being sad a lot of other clangen blogs do. when currentpaw died, i had the whole thing about him going out to get herbs for fog and then going missing for two weeks i think it was. i didn't plan that, and it didn't happen in the game, i just knew i wanted it to be really sad. i also enjoy drawing gore, which helped make his body very gruesome. the lore in the beginning with ebonytongue and flaremeadow's revolution against risingclan i also literally just made up. frostpaw being depressed after currentpaw's death? made it up. the game probably mentioned it cause it does have a thing where cats recover from grief though. i don't exactly remember when i had the idea for twistedeyes (she isn't even in the game) but she was a catalyst for a lot of what happened afterward. fog's emotional outbursts (teasing them beforehand, then have them be the reason for frostflash's death), stork's murder. wolfpaw being related to twistedeyes gave me a relationship factor to tie in with his relationship with fogscreech. wolfmoon seeing visions of waxingmoon and hazelskip and then them meeting the clans, revealing a group of cats had split off from risingclan. ...not to tease a little bit ( sticks my toingue out) , but stormdaze had REASON. to attack twistedeyes in moon 54 and then join fallenclan, but in game he was just a cat who joined the clan on a whim. i can't say too much, but there are things which appear in the moons i've drawn already which become deeply important later on. none of this i had planned! fallenclan started as a project for fun. now it's something i've planned out intensively and have much of it tie into itself. truthfully, how i did was just... making stuff up that i thought was interesting in the beginning. then, i added lore to characters, and motive for their actions. i should also mention-- you don't need to follow what the game tells you. in my latter, undrawn moons, i have two cats, die-- one of which is important, however in the story i just completely scrapped that and did something else with them. tied their disappearances from the game into the story, giving reason for them not appearing anymore other than (shrug) they died. tldr: a lot of it is just making stuff up in the beginning because it's interesting, and then tying it into the story later on.

first off, i am SO happy to see this blog coming back as i was super invested in it and i'm so excited for what you've got next! secondly, do you have a general idea for when the comic might come back? like after the teasers and stuff?

thank you, i'm happy you're happy! i can't say anything for certain, but i'm about halfway through the important pre-planning i need to do before the comic picks up again. with the rate i've been working on it, i estimate i'll probably be finished at MAX by febuary. after that however, i actually have to WORK on the pages. i also know i want to create a proper scheduling system instead of just posting when i finish a page. because of this i want to create a significant number of pages BEFORE i start posting them. if i can estimate, i'd say the soonest i could get to posting is the middle of next year. that is a VAGUE guess, and god knows if everything will go correctly, so if i start posting sooner or later please don't be surprised! i should also add that i'm not allocating ALL of my time to rff. i do lots of other art and have other projects. this is also my final year of high school, as i graduate in june. i know that this year will be HECTIC! however, i'm not going to post-secondary right away so i know i'll be able to work on it likely a ton after i graduate. so that's a plus! TLDR: guesstimate: sometime during the middle of next year

saw u’ve been doing different styles on each teaser - will the upcoming stuff have the usual comic style as before or have multiple styles such as the teasers? excited for what u’re cookin!

it will have comic formatting, but i'm still deciding a specific style to do them in! i do want to keep it a LOT more consistent compared to the rest of the comic, however.

It's so cool to see this blog being active again! It's gotta be one of my favorite clangen ones and I'd like to be able to go through the story again to refresh my memory but most of the links for higher quality pages don't work anymore (both discord and imgur ones) so i was wondering if there's some other place to view these? Or if you could add new links if it's not too much to ask

"It's been three moons now. He hasn't woken or stirred once." He couldn't believe the state of his friend. Malnourished and half-groomed, at least regarding the fur he still had. A missing front leg, only half a face left, and at least a dozen other slashes throughout his pelt. He felt queasy at the sight.

Blood had splattered all over her pelt, the ground, and her only living kit. Her face was pale and empty as she swallowed the last pieces of flesh caught in her teeth.
