“Mam says I’m not to fight.”
“Huh,” he snorted. “They always say that.”
Finian frowned, considering this, and said nothing. Up near the treeline the hawk flew higher. The distant barking of the dogs carried on the wind, followed by the sudden high-pitched scream of a dying rabbit. Wincing, Finian pulled his shoulders up to his ears as if to block the sound. Beside him Cian snuffed his ambivalence.
“Only a rabbit, boy.”
“I don’t like it.”
“Don’t like it?” Cian scoffed. “And here I thought you had some spine, bastard. Hoi, don’t glare at me like that. You know what I told you already. Well, you’d know if you listened. Forget the sting. Blood and shit, it’ll be the harder for you if you can’t even let a rabbit die without whimpering. Tsk, this is what happens when you’re brought up by women and women alone.”
“Is that why my da doesn’t like me?” Finian asked hesitantly, looking out across the fields to where the dogs barked and leapt their joy in the kill about Lief.
Cian’s brows creased, worn fingers scratching behind his ear.
“Couldn’t say lad. Probably has naught to do with you at all. Most like it’s just that you exist.”
“Oh,” Finian said, his voice small and crushed, face downcast.

Actress Julie Adams bumped her head doing a scene from Creature From The Black Lagoon. After getting her head wound treated the scene was completed with no problems. This is a cool picture with the cast members and the Creature himself.
