Quick and easy guide to silk layering.

A few things worth noting:

The top image is a reference to show what each set of silks looks like on it’s own.

The golden tail bangle is broken because it’s not semitransparent. It’s opaque, and won’t show what’s beneath it unlike all the other things.

Because of how I made these (where each full set is a layer), where the wing silks overlap the sash is a little funky. For best results when dressing a real dragon layer both colors of one piece over both colors of the other piece for better looking layering.

Colors may vary a bit from breed to breed.

Dragon Problems: Beautiful Wall of Tears and Broken Dreams Edition

I don’t even know where to start, just searching the AH for either colormatch dragons or parents who could breed for them would take forever.

... and that’s not even counting money for lair space or any additional genes. And I still have more to scry because I have a workshop problem. Plus since they’re all based off of characters, eye color is an issue because I am a stickler for details, so even if I find a perfect dragon with all the right genes and colors and breed (laughter slowly turning into sobbing), there’s a 10/11 chance I’ll have to use them for breeding instead of for keeps anyway.

Like. Where do I even begin for this sort of thing? There’s 64 of them. idk lemme know if you have a pair that could either produce an exact dragon or a potential parent, though any dragon with gem genes is one i need to come with them, since this is already gonna be too expensive to even think about buying gem scrolls. treasure/baldwin genes i can do tho. ignore the opal babs, they’re relegated to the realm of dreams.

wait what do you think of the crystal/facet/glimmer genes on dragons with fur or feathers instead of scales

I can see how dragons covered entirely with scales may have scales that shine like crystals or are maybe even made of crystals

but what about fur is each individual strand of hair made of crystal or is it like really shiny thread

are feathers made of really low-density, light crystal

did someone just spill permanent glue and glitter all over those dragons
