been a while since i posted about my srpg, so here's a video showing changes i've made to the map editor. most of the updates have been focused on making it more friendly for controllers/gamepads.
working on a new topdown wave shooter prototype. gimmick is that after every level, you select an item to add to the kinds of items enemies can drop. it’s intended to be an attempt at mixing elements of deckbuilders and topdown shooters without using literal cards. :)
bgm: Mr. Smith - Spanish Tea
i wanted to revisit two older prototypes i wasn’t able to take further with this new one. the gimmick is something i’ve prototyped before (top screenshot) but it was hard to quickly read what item you had equipped due to the visual style used. hoping combining these two prototypes together will lead to something interesting!
a small, lightly rpg flavored, match3 prototype called matchquest where you try to make connections as enemies attack your board with tiles that have special negative effects.
clearing tiles charges the player’s special abilities (on the left), such as moving tiles wherever they want, removing all enemy tiles, a hint button, and more.
