Big fan of this crazy lady! Juliet Landau did such a great job as Drusilla. She's so ethereal and creepy in the best way.
I was so proud of the version of this that I drew back in 2017, and now I'm proud again of this 2025 redraw (I posted the comparison in this post). The original is discounted in my Etsy shop, and I'll be adding prints and stickers of the redraw soon!

She still thinks I'm little miss nobody, just her dumb little sister. Boy, is she in for a surprise.
Dawnie 🗝️💚
I started this drawing before hearing the news about Michelle Trachtenberg. Gone too soon, thank you for everything ❤️🩹

The thing I've carried around in my head years and years after first watching Buffy is that it's just so unfair. She was a girl, a child, she didn't choose this life or this danger or these complications. She literally has the world on her shoulders and more often than not, no one is cutting her slack in other areas either. They still want her to go to class. They still want her to get a job. They still want her to be the perfect romantic partner and friend. And it's just...so deeply unfair. But again and again, Buffy comes to the conclusion that, while yes, it is deeply unfair, sometimes that's just how it is. It's unfair, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have to live with it, to make these impossible choices. It really comes down to "it's not fair, but 9/10 I'm going to rise to the occasion anyway, because who else is going to do it?"
