Well we all want to be loved.
It’s a primal instinct, we’re conceived in a womb where we feel warm and safe. And at birth all of that is stripped away. From that point on you’re finding ways to get that same sensation back. The lucky ones do

Just after lift off
a perfect aerial view of my city. It brings tears to my eyes feeling so full of love and this lingering sense of nostalgia I hadn't known before. Breathe. In an instant of altitude climb, it's gone beneath a blanket of clouds. I am onto the next chapter.

I had a solo show this year titled Battlefield of Flowers. I set out to make these 4 futuristic altars meant to channel healing energy to help us heal from the pain inflicted on us by masculine energy and patriarchal rule.
In January when I started, the optimist in me saw hope in the trajectory that we as a species were on. Then I saw the hateful/angry/violent rhetoric that played out in global politics, and now, more than ever, I see the need for this thought process to play out.
This floral sculpture was made by the brilliant @bloomandplume out of LA, and I photographed it over one of the 4 energy vortexes in Sedona.
