How I Use OneNote for University

Hey, all! I thought I’d share how I use OneNote, for any students who might want to use it for school organization. I have used this since the beginning of my university career and have found a method that works for me, after nearly three years.

I provide templates for what I use as .one files that can be imported into OneNote, and you’re free to use & modify them however you wish.

As a student with learning disabilities, I found that using a computer, rather than writing everything out, is the best method for me to learn. I type up notes in class so as to not worry about keeping up with a professor, handwriting, or neatness. OneNote is my favourite note-taking application for this, because it’s essentially an upgraded version of Word that’s free and syncs automatically across devices. When my computer crashed, I was still able to access my notes online.

OneNote isn’t all typing. You can use it on a tablet or use a drawing tablet, in my case, to handwrite notes for a more natural feel. A very efficient way of taking notes is to import the lectures slides in OneNote and to write directly on them. I found that very useful in math-heavy courses, such as statistics and chemistry. The equation tool, while nifty, isn’t efficient.

By no means whatsoever is this the only way to use OneNote! In fact, I’d recommend you find a way that works for you, because while this may be highly organized, it takes a bit of set-up time and is tailored specifically to my needs. You can use my example as inspiration, but play around with it! The beauty of OneNote is that it can be used in a variety of different ways.

What she really means : How dare Warner Brothers and David Ayer use Jared Leto as a red herring to sell tickets and then turn around and give us the finger! They milked the shit out of his Joker! They made us think he'd have 40 minutes of screen time. The way they cut the trailers and marketed him, lead us to believe that even though he wasn't the main focus, we would still see quite a bit of him. They hyped him up to be this huge deal. They knew very well that we thought we would get more of him than 10 measly minutes. But tricking us out of our money, isn't the worst part. The worst part, is all the bullshit Jared had to put up with. He dealt with keyboard warriors making fun of him and his look for over a year. All he heard was how he could never compete with Heath Ledger. People made multiple memes, called him edgelord, said he was going to ruin the Joker, and turned their backs on him when news of his "gifts" to co-co-stars came out (which WB and Ayer were all too happy to milk for publicity), and after all that, THEY DIDN'T EVEN GIVE HIM ENOUGH SCREEN TIME TO WIN ANY OF THE SKEPTICS OVER. THEY PUT HIM THROUGH HELL AND THEN BASICALLY TOLD HIM, "THANKS FOR ALL THE MONEY YOU EARNED US. SORRY ABOUT ALL YOUR TROUBLE, BUT THAT'S THE WAY THE COOKIE CRUMBLES. TOO BAD SO SAD." Shame on them. It's complete bullshit and they BETTER make it right when Suicide Squad hits DVD/Blu-Ray. They FUCKING better. Anyway *flips hair* I'm FINE.

I am the cold whisper of wind in the deep of night, the breeze that rustles the leaves overhead and makes you shiver. I am each pinprick of glittering light on the black velvet sky in the dead of night, a distant watcher you can’t possibly know. I am the half-truth that works so much better than the lies, and the truths told as lies so that they will never be believed.

I am the winter morning and midnight in spring, the burn of firewhiskey and the crackling of the dying fire. I am the embers that fly into the air when a log breaks and falls, landing in the grass with the potential to grow into a wildfire. I am the blood in your veins and the one that turns it to ice in the face of fear. I am the goal that others tell you is too high to reach and yet you fight for it all the same. I am the drive that runs you into the ground, drenched in sweat and breathing hard, and the drive that picks you up and sets you back on your feet and points you straight ahead again.
