Oh woah hey there 🐱 I think that was a funny little accident just now. 🐱 You see I was just licking this plate of food left on the counter and you 🐱 pushed my face right out of the way. I think you just did not notice 🐱 my face was there so no worries, I’ll just go back to 🐱 OH you’ve pushed my face away again? Sorry I don’t mean to embarrass 🐱 you but I am in the middle of something here so I will simply just 🐱 You have pushed my face away again?????? 🐱🐱🐱

Its very odd when people act surprised when i tell them i dont like Christmas. "you what you dont like christmas?? but its so jolly and merry" i will now describe my Christmas experience
Wake up 1/10. Halloween has just finished. starts off as a normal day but the second i go somewhere outside of my house theres a good chance that will be exposed to the second most annoying song ever made, so already not a good start.
for the entirety of november i have to listen to awful music whenever i take off headphones in public. i also have to worry about buying presents for people who literally dont even have hobbies or anything.
by the start of december theres fake plastic trees (Radiohead reference 😳) and other future pollution everywhere. everywhere is busy as fuck because people are buying presents. i have to hear culture war bullshit about how the woke left is trying to destroy Christmas (we should totally do that btw) and have people tell me im not allowed to celebrate christmas bc im an atheist, as if its that simple to just not interact with this huge 2 month long event
this all continues with people progressively talking more and more about how Christmas is n days away and its the nth day of Christmas.
Christmas day his and i get some plastic shite that takes up space in my room and i have to pretend to appreciate it. i get a couple of good presents too though, and for the most part christmas day is actually alright.
next day i have to piss off to see my relatives and pretend im close with them. i have to hear the most bigoted shit ever and generally have a shit time where i cant say anything i actually think, political or otherwise, bec its "woke" or "satanic" or "for ladies" as if its the 14th century or something. i get some shitty Christian bullshit from my fascist aunt because she knows im an atheist
this is also why i love new years day, it finally ends

The mitochondria being the powerhouse of the cell is a fact which is often discussed on the internet. The Golgi apparatus, however, being the post office of the cell, has not gotten nearly as much recognition. This is in line with the years-long underfunding of the postal service, which provides a deeply important service to society yet does not get the recognition it deserves. In this essay I will

(WIP) Rivers of Ehrð
So this has been in the works for several months, and will be likely for several more, but i have been working on a global map showing the river networks of my fictional version of Earth. They are broadly the same as the real world but due to differences in rainfall and climate there are differences. (open for zoomed in images)
Tumblr media
There are no endorheic basins, meaning all water eventually reaches the ocean, and global mean sea level is about 20 metres lower.
Anyway, I have just finished mapping and tracing out the basins for every river which is over 1000km long in the real world, as well as some others in areas that are too arid in real life to be true rivers.
Regional Maps
For convenience of reading and because I haven't got names for everything yet, I will use the real life region names. If a river has it's own name in my world I will also use that.
I will list the rivers in a clockwise direction along coastlines, usually starting from the edge of the map. rivers on islands will go after the rest. Green names mean that i have my own name for the river in the fictional world.

At the end of the day, we are all just silly little mammals with funny fuzzy electric things in us that make us think, and we're not perfect and make silly mistakes, and that doesnt mean we're incompetent or stupid. being imperfect is beautiful and wonderful in so many ways.
Forgetting why you walked into a room or walking out to realise ur in ur slippers is fine and just a part of living and being organisms. Its a silly little reminder that we're natural just like all other life, and its reassuring to think of us as a part of nature rather than an alternative to it. looking at people from this angle also helps u understand behaviour of many animals in many situations.
