A trope that makes me fucking sick to my stomach is when the immortal character/someone who's been alive for a really fucking long time and has been apathetic/wanting to die...and at the end wishes they had more time. They've found something or someone that makes them wish they had just a little bit more time. Sure, they've had an eternity and arguably enough time as it is, but now at the end it feels selfish to ask for just a little bit more. God.

When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.
