I just want to be excited for Liam’s projects, but I can’t. I want to be excited if he starts with LP2 buzz and maybe tour, but it’s always the same: those shows with unknown artists that only want followers and engagement thanks to Liam. I don’t know why he is not a normal artist with normal projects that benefit his career and not the others. Two years without news or rumors about a new album… it’s so frustrating to see the others and Liam doing Veeps shows. Sigh. Anyway, are you going to see this new show?

I know it's a bit hard to be excited... I know it takes me a while to get excited after all these years where things are done in a bare minimum way and the focus not being on him as an artist.

The thing is and to be honest, I wouldn't mind Liam doing this kind of thing because it's an interesting project to have and to help give other creators/musicians a platform to help them launch their career. I honestly don't mind!

What I do mind is the fact that when it's related to Liam and his own solo career the effort made in terms of promo is basically none in the last few years. We got a great round of promo for Midnight because it was Alesso's song. Look what happened to Sunshine!!! When it comes to him it's never truly about him, but about everyone surrounding him. It's very frustrating to watch someone with so much talent being paid dust!

That's what bothers me and doesn't help me get excited for these kinds of projects or the NFTs (which once again I say we aren't the right target for).

Finally to answer your last question I don't even know if I'll buy a ticket. Let's see.

For the sake of the argument, and since I’ve seen a lot of misinformation about Liam’s situation in articles and people saying he isn’t successful/can’t chart a song, I want to put things in context. 

If an artist doesn’t have a promo strategy (label+management) how do you expect him to chart? Every “successful” or “popular” artist has a team behind them pushing the songs/albuns to the general public on radios, tv shows, concerts, etc. 

Gonna use two examples for Liam of what worked and didn’t work on his solo career using Strip That Down and Sunshine. 

Strip That Down (promo strategy that lasted at least 4-6 months)

Radios: 1236572358569 interviews in every radio station (major and even the tiny ones) across the world. He did UK promo tour when the single was out and had previously did a US promo tour. He did a lot of other European countries (France, Sweden, Italy, Germany, etc.), Latin America, Canada and Australia. Even if some of the interviews were over the phone or video conference. A lot of the times he also performed the song. 

TV shows: a lot of appearances in morning/afternoon/late shows to promote the single in UK and US (major market). Even going to some major shows across Europe (I’m remembering the ones he did in France, for example). He did interviews and performed the song. 

Concerts: he did so many appearances in a lot of events just to sing this one song across the world. A lot of music awards and festivals too! He literally was booked to sing one song.  

Other interviews: he filmed a lot of little segments for other sorts of media posted online and even did some interviews with YouTubers. 

Conclusion: Strip That Down was constantly playing in every radio and the streams were major (it’s still his most streamed song ever). He was able to chart in a lot of countries getting a #3 in the UK and #1 in the US. This was a work made along MONTHS! Not days or weeks, but months!

Sunshine (promo strategy that lasted 2 months, but really was 2 weeks)

Radios: he did like 7 interviews on Global’s radios that were all pre-recorded after two weeks of the song being released and then aired along the following weeks. Before Ron’s Gone Wrong premiered he did two more radio interviews again for Global radios. All radio interviews were done for the UK, no US, Australia or Europe. He did appearances announced for Australian radios that never happened.

TV shows: he did two appearances to promote the song with performances, one in the UK (BBC The One Show) and one in the US (GMA). That’s it!

Concerts: he did exactly one concert where he performed the song and it was Tom’s charity concert in the UK. 

Other interviews: for the promotion of the movie he did a few more interviews for other media across Latin America, Europe and India along with another actor from the movie. If you listen to the interviews, the song was rarely mentioned. 

Conclusion: of course the song didn’t chart or had major impact when basically nothing was done to promo it! Even with this bare minimum work, the song has good streaming numbers and was able to chart on a Billboard chart due to fans promoting it on Twitter and making listening parties. 

So really this is the truth and this is the context you need. Now compare it to what other artists do to promote their songs! Compare it to the ones that are able to chart. Artists work hard to promote their songs and have a team behind them pushing things! When you don’t have anyone what do you really expect?

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you thank you for all the hard work you do supporting Liam. I have no doubt that it takes up a lot of effort and a lot of time. I’ve been a long time follower, and this is the only UA I have found that is focused primarily on Liam and his career. i dont know whats going on with hits radio atm, as far as i understood from their twitter, liam will have a takeover next week there too

So from what I understand there is an interview of him with Jordan Lee today on the evening show. And probably next week he will be on another show from Hits Radio, my bet is on the morning show with Fleur East since he previously did some interviews with her.

It's not unusual for an artist to do multiple interviews with the same radio station for different shows. For example, on Capital he can do an interview for the breakfast show (usually with Roman), an interview for the evening show (usually with Jimmy Hill) and another one for the sunday countdown (don't know who is currently doing that!).

The shame in all this is that tomorrow makes two weeks since Liam released Sunshine and we had exactly 4 interviews on radios (including the one from this evening).

Is his team waiting for the release of the movie? Because if so they should have just waited a few more weeks to released the song to be honest with you.

I just love that gifset of liam on capital with the longest song on potential album bit so much. Not because he looks so good (although he really does) or because he is so funny (he is). I love especially the last one cause he is just so incredibly human. Like he giggles in this beautiful way, he has a little double chin while doing so and he apparently does not care how he looks. You barely see this with celebs cause they learn how to laugh and giggle without showing stuff like this and how to hold themselves to look impeccable and without any faultd. Its just such unfiltered human joy he shows and i just love it so much. Its so pure and also such a liam thing, just pure unfiltered joy. Just needed to share that with someone😄🌞

I’m in bed totally ready to go to sleep and I read this... now I’m totally crying (damn you, period!!) and I’m lost at words.

His beauty is like poetry and I always say that I love to see his perfect smile and even more perfect laugh/giggles! It’s a breath of fresh hair on a hard day. The sunshine on a beautiful beach. The puppy moment we all need. As you said just pure and unfiltered joy!

When he gives these precious moments all feels right in the world again, you know? And you’re right... I love him for not being scared to show us this side of him!
