Garfield

This one was a challenge because the shirt was giving me issues. Usually I draw dark to light or light to dark but I rarely mix this. For this one the hands torso and face are done dark to light but for the shirt I had to reverse it and go light to dark to capture the shadows. It’s almost like two gradients to show the differences and even the two competing parts of the picture out. I’m happy with the end result and do love a little challenge. Also been really enjoying these very subtle gradients - it adds an ethereal quality that the wider or more broad/bold (purple to gold, etc) palettes can’t really capture.

I've been obsessing over Jack & Joker for a while now (when I say obsessed I mean I have watched it 5 times in the span of a week) and I still think it's extremely homophobic towards me specifically that Tattoo and Aran didn't get a single kissy, so I'm just doing a sketch of them being cute and domestic together like they're married or some shit. They deserve it!!! Also Aran doing embroidery is especially cute to me.
