"Yeah, I've spent a long time wondering, but it's been a long time so I kind of just gave up of that." He told her. "I don't know. I'm not sure. To be honest I'm not even sure they would have found my body, I don't know where it went. Whatever killed me...it got rid of it." Mason explained. "I can't even really say what it was...I wasn't human, not ever a ghost. Something else. Darker. Evil in a way. It tore me apart." He closed his eyes, remember the feeling. the warmth of his own blood.
He shook off the memory. "I might take you up on that." He gave her a smile.
"As if that gives those dirtbags a reason to abandon you." He'd been young, talented with a bright future and his so-called friends striped that away from him out of envy; it was sickening. "Would it be different?" Her head cocks a bit to the side, watching him with curious orbs. "Had they confessed and you were found, would you be at peace?" Instead of being trapped and condemned to an endless, never-changing existence.
"That's it? Only on Halloween?" The only eve in which the dead could walk among the living. "Good, I hope you torment them all to hell." Her tone bitter. "If you ever need a partner in crime, I wouldn't hesitate."

"Yeah, I thought maybe they were jealous. I'd gotten a baseball scholarship and they didn't." He shrugged. "Or maybe they were just worried of getting in trouble for running away." Mason really didn't really know.
"On Halloween, I can leave here. The dead can walk freely on all Hallows Eve." He explained. "I pay them visits, leave them little messages, spook them maybe sure they never forget what they did. I've made it my mission for them to all hate Halloween as it's the day I died."
"I'd have to agree with that." It's a pathetic attempt at lightening the mood, but the more she studies the clippings the more annoyance seems to course through her veins. What a cruel fate; Being betrayed by those you'd put faith into. It was a sting she could relate to, but nothing compared to Mason's misfortune. "Seriously? The cowards couldn't even tell the truth?"
Her gaze finally shifts to the spirit, golden brows furrowing in aggravation. "And you didn't haunt their asses?"
