This has been on my mind for long but I’m gonna do this - please reblog this if you’re comfortable with pre-establishing relationships. I do not mean “met at the grocery store two weeks ago” or “have a common friend”, but rather stuff like “have been best friends since kindergrden”, “go for a beer every friday”, “friends with benefits”, “dated in highschool”, “hate each other’s guts because -insert reason-”  etc. Something meaningful (but not necessarily shippy) and I mean with muns/characters you have not interacted with, because I cannot believe I am the only one who prefers jumping right into the heart of the human interaction.

Zizhen rubbed his teeth, laughing lightly. Sizhui was looking at their feet, face flushed, and Zizhen hoped he didn’t think Zizhen was laughing at him. In all honesty, it was a little wild to consider that the fact Sizhui wanted to kiss Zizhen got Sizhui off kilter bad enough that he went for a kiss with no foresight. It was a little unfortunate that their teeth ended up smashing together, but Zizhen had a feeling it could become a sweet and silly story to tell down the line. 

“Sizhui,” he said softly, reaching out a hand to tip Sizhui’s chin up to make eye contact, “want to try again?”

Zizhen was about to drop his towel to slip on a pair of boxers, when a gasp had him turning around. There, standing in the doorway with red cheeks and wide eyes was Jin Ling. Zizhen would have thought everything the two of them had done together would have meant his girlfriend wouldn’t be flustered by seeing him in a towel, yet it warmed Zizhen that she still got flustered - not that Zizhen would have been much better if he walked in, and she was wearing just a towel, but sometimes he liked to pretend he could handle it. He pulled himself up, so he was sitting on the dresser, and held his hands out to Jin Ling.

“Why so flustered, love?” he asked, unable to help the tease that leaked into his voice. She was just too cute when she got flustered because Jin Ling would then often pout or she’d try and deny that she was flustered. He cupped her cheek when she approached, and he smiled up at her. “It’s just me.”
