i am in such awe of fanfic writers who write like over 10k words, or put out that much for each chapter… it’s mind blowing to me… i started writing this story for my friend and felt so accomplished for reaching 15k then i realized for fanfic writers thats like maybe one chapter… i’m impressed and intimidated

the way the fexi fanfic writers are so good the only thing on my mind for weeks has been whether their stories are going to update and when - and then i try to figure out their update schedules by comparing between chapters and finding an average, and then spend the rest of the week conjuring up ideas of what could happen next only to be blown away by amazing talent and plot that i could’ve never imagined. if u can’t tell i’m waiting for my favorite fics to update currently and am losing my mind progressively

Prairie Doll Chapter Update--Now LIVE

The hollowness in her chest slowly turned into dread as a cold feeling unrelated to her dried sweat seeped into her limbs. She was a day’s ride by wagon from Omaha, had no horse or mule ( not that she knew how to ride either even if one had been miraculously hitched up in front of the house ), and ( she suspected ) precious few supplies in the way of food. Since there was no guarantee Ethan would stop by the house after he concluded his railroad business, Lexi knew she needed to either find her way into the town of Springfield or introduce herself to her closest neighbor, if she didn’t want to risk her sister coming back to a corpse. Forcing her mind to ignore her tight protesting muscles, Lexi slowly eased herself out of bed.

The sun was already climbing across the sky by the time she got out of the house and started on her mutual quests of procuring supplies and letting someone know she was at Cassie’s place, having fought her reluctant body the entire time as she got dressed. As the warm sun beat down on her, she was thankful that she’d at least been able to find a dented tin canteen hanging by something she supposed might pass for a fishing rod before she left the house. The walk from the house back to the trail where Ethan had dropped her off did not feel quite so long in the light of day, for which she was grateful; however, she tried cautioning herself against assuming that the rest of her unknown journey would go as smoothly.

She let her mind begin wandering as her body fell into a steady rhythm of one foot in front of the other as she walked down the trail in the opposite direction she’d come from with Ethan. Lexi marveled at the soft tall grasses that swayed back and forth like waves as periodic breezes blew by. Her ears soaked in the buzzing, chittering sounds that were evidence of the unseen life all around her, but which still sounded like relative silence to her city-trained hearing. As her thoughts meandered though, she was surprised by how often they appeared to linger on a redheaded man with piercing blue eyes. Even though their interaction in the general store had been relatively brief, she could not stop thinking about the way his hands had lingered on her arm or the way his intense stare made her heart beat a little faster. Lexi tried telling herself that the heat in her cheeks was simply from the sun beating down on her and from the physical exertion, but a part of her knew that even if she’d been laid up in bed in the middle of the coldest dark, her cheeks would still feel hot.

i remember i was so happy during ep. 7 seeing lexi, rue and fez having fun, goofing off like teens and i was thinking i can’t wait to see this in s. 3…! but will we ever see him so carefree and happy like that again after ash died !! 🙃🙂

I literally can’t accept that ash is dead like all my headcannons have him in s3 is going to feel like an elaborate *ash dies* au

a lot of fez’s screentime has been with ash so it will be interesting to see him alone ?? and him living a life without ash . It sounds stupif but we have no idea what fez looks like as a person without ash- he’s a big part of his identity. I’ve accepted that ash is gone but it makes me real fucking sad I just know we are going to see fez is a lot of pain and that makes me want to die!

my biggest fear for s3 is that mr levinson is gonna ruin fexi by tarnishing the integrity of characters just for the sake of pointless drama :/// like… if he makes lexi not wanting to stay by fez’s side or go off w ethan or something if fez goes to jail i will become feral in the worst way…. it happened w cassie and if it happens w lexi i will become sooo hideously angry !!!! she’d stay loyal to her man till the end, and that’s that. lexi and fez’s characters are so solid in personality and i really don’t want that to be disrupted! drama is not worth tearing down such good characters! stability & support is also very entertaining! anyway that is my biggest fear </3

Fez is so protective you know he throws a hand over Lexi when he stops short. She bends over from the dinner table and he just slides his hand to cover the corner so she doesn't bump that precious noggin! This also made me think, what if she's so bad at driving-- no regard for speed limits, stopping distance, treats stop signs like they're optional--that he's like omg alright get back on the fucking bike.

lexi being a bad driver hits close to home oh my god.... why do you always have the best hc's though?? literally hit after HIT! ...lexi driving a car is 100 times scarier than the bike, fez is ready to quit his job and drive her everywhere he can't take the fucking stress
