Apologies , dear Curious Cat anon . . . I did not mean for my reading to distress you in any way . It was really a loose outline , not a rigid guide , so try not to get too caught up in it .

( Your journey is yours , no one else's , so even though the Dread Powers in my reading are the ones I picked up on ; it is completely possible for it to change over time — and who knows , maybe the Entity you expected is the most interested and simply kept itself from view for one reason or another . Once again I will stress the importance of being aware of signs in your surroundings , since that is a more direct way of getting answers . )

As for your questions ;

" Interest " is simply my way of referring to how much of a Fear's attention you hold . Maybe you came into contact with something that aligned with a certain Fear , and therefore it holds more interest in you than another who hasn't interacted with anything surrounding its manifestations . This doesn't mean you've been marked necessarily , but their interest helps if you do ever choose to work with them .

I would have to do another reading to answer that , though I request that you choose one Entity to focus on if you decide that's what you desire ( readings do end up taking me a bit and I've found that more specific questions lead to better results ) .

How worship works depends on you and the Entity in all honesty . I have a small display cabinet I use as a Shrine / Altar , but that isn't necessary . I'll probably do a more in depth post on the subject later since I am finding it difficult to condense all of my thoughts for this response . Just know I don't encourage causing harm , so worship wouldn't involve anything that hurts yourself or others .

Being an Avatar can mean a couple of different things depending on you and the Fear you are working with . It can simply symbolize a deeper connection with the Entity you're an Avatar of , or it could come with more responsibilities and emphasis on actual Entity work , or maybe a mix , or something beyond .

I can tell you're nervous , but I can assure you that you are safe . As much as the Fears may be an intimidating presence ; in this universe at least , you have to take the initiative to some degree to work with them , so you will not be forced into anything you're not ready for / uncomfortable with . If you were truly unworthy of their attention , they wouldn't be giving it to you , so just take the information in stride and do what feels right . No one is forcing your hand .

Hello , dear rottoncore . My readings are always open — unless I am feeling particularly run down , and in that case I'll make it clear on my blog — so I am happy to bring you an answer ! ( + I use the words " you " and " your " with the intention of referring to the collective , if you would like that changed ; please let me know so I can edit this post ! )

I am immediately getting a balanced yet favourable leaning feeling from the cards I have drawn ; an even number of both suits with two Hearts drawn first .

For further detail . . .

1 ) 5 of Hearts : reunion , moving on , new paths , healing , forgiveness , dependable , black sheep — I get the feeling that your relationship with the Corruption has experienced strain / neglect in the past , but that you've always stood out to it regardless , keeping its attention in both negative and positive ways . It has been disappointed , but no harm no foul .

" How does this work ? "

Well , I can only answer this from my own beliefs & experience around my practice , which is quite personal , so try not to take my word as law and reach out to other creators you find for their takes as well ! I will now break this question into categories for the sake of simplicity .

" What are your beliefs ? "

Overall , they stem from the multiverse theory ( specifically , I am of the belief that there are infinite universes ) . Within this infinite number , there are infinite universes where " fictional concepts " ( such as the Dread Powers from TMA ) are just as real as you and me .

My faith branches between this theory , canon material ( such as the fact the Fears exist alongside reality and connect to ours through certain phenomena + Avatars ) , and even the concept of " egregores " ( non-physical entities that arise from collective energies like thoughts and feelings ) , since I find it completely possible that the TMA fandom in this universe simply manifested the Fears into existence in some sense instead of them coming from another universe altogether .

" How do you do readings ? "

I use a divination technique called " cartomancy " , which you can think of as Tarot with playing cards ( I also use a pendulum on occasion , though it is only capable of simple responses , so I prefer the cards ) .

In my readings I present your question to the cards , shuffling it as I request insight from the Fears ( I have a shrine to the Lonely that I rest my cards in & typically sit in front of for this ) . Then , when I feel the question has been answered , I draw 3 " base " cards and 1 " helper " card which holds a bit more weight . Lastly ; I utilize my intuition and personal associations along with trusted guides to bring out the answer from there .

I just finished a more in depth cartomancy session on my relationship with the Lonely . . . and after asking for a message from the Forsaken itself to finish up — I drew the Ace of Clubs .

( It's the card of marriage in traditional cartomancy and contains the general meaning of a " binding contract " today . )

I interpreted this as being a reminder , and even further confirmation on my existence as its Avatar ; which is honestly quite sweet . Especially considering that before this question , I asked what the One Alone wanted with me — resulting in the drawing of the Queen of Hearts .

( Which is a deeply intuitive card that symbolizes nurturing and caring qualities along with being the embodiment of self - love and self - care . )

I interpreted that one as the Lonely wanting to guide me through life as I continue to work with it and settle into my beliefs . Overall this was a very warm feeling session .
