FORNASETTI AT NOMAD ST. MORITZ
From 6 to 9 February Fornasetti is taking part to Nomad St. Moritz, the showcase by invitation dedicated to collectible design and contemporary art that brings together international galleries in extraordinary architectural locations all over the world.
In the spaces of Chesa Planta, a historic building of the eighteenth century, the Milanese Atelier presents Fornasetti, Origins: a new limited edition of pieces of furniture among which stand out the Libri Trumò and two new pieces from the Litomatrice series.
The Trumò Libri is the prototype of a series of five limited reissues designed on the 1950 model, one of the first examples of collaboration between Gio Ponti and Piero Fornasetti. Predecessor to the iconic pieces still being produced today, its components in Italian walnut-briar with a vintage taste converse with the elegant black and white decorations applied by hand in line with the Atelier's tradition.
The matrices used by Piero Fornasetti in the early years to print his decorations come back to life in the Litomatrice collection. Based on an idea by Barnaba Fornasetti, the series enhances the precious archival masters turning them into decorative elements that testify the Atelier's history and creating a limited number of unique pieces of art.

FORNASETTI PRESENTS THE NEW EDITION OF THE PIATTO CALENDARIO
Fornasetti's Piatto Calendario is a tradition dating back to 1967, when Piero Fornasetti designed the first limited-edition New Year plate to be given as a Christmas gift to friends and devoted customers.
Fornasetti dedicates its annual Piatto Calendario to Ludwig van Beethoven and his Third Symphony, the Eroica, which, more than any of his works, symbolises freedom.
The symphony was initially composed for Napoleon, a symbolic figure of the values expressed in the composition. Those values were betrayed in the subsequent conduct of the French general, so much to force Beethoven to delete the dedication from the manuscript.
Hand painted on gold and platinum ceramics, the plate comes in a limited edition of 700 pieces.

FORNASETTI PRESENTA: S/OGGETTI PARZIALI BY CARLO DELL’ACQUA
"Fornasetti Presenta" is the new multi-purpose art space jointly created by Barnaba Fornasetti, artistic director of the atelier, and Valeria Manzi, the co-curator of cultural projects. A space where Fornasetti’s world mingles with other art forms.
The project, which started earlier this year with the collaboration with the British artist Anj Smith, is set to continue with the “S/Oggetti parziali” by Carlo Dell’Acqua.
Invited to work with some of Fornasetti's most iconic pieces, Dell’Acqua has readily accepted the challenge by focusing on the symbol of the atelier’s creativity: the face of Lina Cavalieri. The artist has manipulated, torn to pieces, annihilated and then reassembled Fornasetti porcelains, giving new life to the face of the famous soprano. The entire series of works will be displayed for the first time ever.
S/OGGETTI PARZIALI by Carlo Dell’Acqua from 25 September to 16 November 2019 Opening 24 September 2019, 6.30pm Fornasetti Corso Venezia 21/A (corner via Senato) Milano

THE NEW FORNASETTI EXHIBITION IN SWEDEN
From 14 June 2019 to 26 January 2020 Artipelag, the international art museum and multi-purpose space in the outskirts of Stockholm, will host the exhibition "Fornasetti Inside Out Outside In".
It is the fruit of a collaboration between Artipelag and the Milanese atelier. Curated by Barnaba Fornasetti, Jessica Höglund, Valeria Manzi and Bo Nilsson, it develops a dialogue with the architecture of the museum that narrates the figure of Piero Fornasetti in all his complexity, revealing his many faces and encompassing his entire output, from paintings to drawings, from graphic art to furniture, from design objects to installations, right up to the contemporary work of Barnaba Fornasetti, the atelier's current artistic director.
The title "Inside Out Outside In" refers to a dual journey: the journey that begins in Fornasetti's imagination and transports his creativity onto everyday objects ("Inside Out"), and the unbounded journey into the dream world of the Milanese atelier that its creations manage to inspire in the viewer ("Outside In").

THE RULE OF DREAMS: AN INSTALLATION BY FORNASETTI AT VENICE T FONDACO DEI TEDESCHI
Fornasetti's dreamlike world comes to Venice and pays homage to the city and its artistic heritage with a site-specific installation at the T Fondaco dei Tedeschi.
Featuring silhouettes of female faces, irreverent monkeys and hands slicing through the air, the art installation develops along the different areas of the building, once the trading place for German merchants working in Venice and now converted into a department store.
Fornasetti's universe dialogues with the historical signs through a game of references and continued reversals between different codes and eras, paying tribute to the frescoes of the great Venetian Masters Giorgione and Tiziano who, in the sixteenth century were on the facade of the building, just like today the large disks depicting the Fornasetti’s muse Lina Cavalieri.
THE RULE OF DREAMS An installation by Barnaba Fornasetti and Valeria Manzi
From 8 May to 24 November 2019
T Fondaco dei Tedeschi,
Calle del Fontego dei Tedeschi, Rialto Bridge,
