The cream Himalayan paving really compliments the surrounding greenery, and the edging setts just finishes it off 👌.
I’m sure this new patio area is going to be getting a lot of use during the summer ☀️

Bricklaying doesn’t get much better than this 🙌.
Handmade clay reds, Addington red plinth bricks, Intermittent Staffordshire blues trying to recreate the 17th century glazed burnt headers look. All constructed in a Flemish bond 🧱 using traditional lime mortar finished in a flush joint 👌.

And that’s our stonework puzzle complete ✅.
We had to demolish a large section of this century old stone wall due to bulging from various water pressures and general age related issues.
We reclaimed and cleaned all of the original stone and relaid it with Bekaert Murfor Compact E-35 Stainless Steel reinforcement to tie it all in together 🙌.
This should now give this stone wall a much needed new lease of life 👌

Lovely bit of radial Flemish bond lime work 🙌.
Constructed with an 18inch toe at the bottom to retain the above path, then into 9 inch brickwork to take the subsequent sloping brick on edge ✅.

Our Victorian greenhouse project is now almost complete ✅.
With its cast aluminium spandrels with cresting and finials all finished in old cottage green, it really does look like something special 🙌.
For the brickwork the walls were constructed using farmhouse handmade reds 🧱, all laid in lime mortar. Traditional flemish bond on the side elevations and quarter bat bond below the cold frames, which went through a period of trending during the Victorian times but seems to be mostly obsolete now.
The pointing was finish in a flush joint that was then gentle rubbed with hessian to bring the aggregate out to the surface, this pointing technique is also known to some as the Westminster smear.
All that’s left is to lay the wrap around catherdral grade flagstone paving and this greenhouse is ready to start producing 👌.

What a build, what a pleasure, in constructing this boundary wall that we coined the Great Wall of Sussex 🧱. Constructed in lime this 13inch brick wall was built in Flemish bond, with staggered Staffordshire blues to give it a traditional feel 🙌. We added a brick planter at the front in order to accommodate some greenery to contrast the surrounding area. 🌿
