Starkid's low budget, "theater of the mind" approach is the best version of musical theater because they'll be like...
Grace: There it is. The Old Waylon Place.
The stage: *just some white sheets hanging from the ceiling*
Everyone: Ah yes, the Old Waylon Place.

I love watching people react to the scene in NPMD where Mark Chasity gets a call about the Waylon place. Because when he keeps saying “you don’t say” they’re always like did they find the body or are they talking about something normal?” And no actually it’s the secret third option

I had a talk with a friend about Grace Chastity a while ago, and the expectations placed upon her by society and her Christian upbringing. She states that she doesn't want any sexual thoughts or feelings until she is married but that doesn't work out the way she planned, Dirty Girl ensues.
As shown by Grace and Max's talk in school, Grace does not, or doesn't want to, fancy Max in any way as she is "only one man's girl, and his name is Jesus Christ.", but she has that sexual fantasy afterwards, Dirty Girl, absolute banger of a song, by the way. However I don't necessarily think that she does fancy Max, I believe that she was persuaded into that state of mind by propaganda, movies set in highschools, where the jock of the school gets any girl he wants, and Max wants Grace, he makes that explicitly clear. She is so sheltered by her parents that Grace must believe this is the only path for her, unless she removes the "jock" status from Max, which she enlists the nerds to do so.
Her actions are motivated by what she believes is right, God and what she must've seen in media through the heavily filtered lens of her parents and what they seem appropriate for her to watch. She has never had the chance to truly think for herself and form her own opinion without thinking of "What would Jesus do?".
The aftermath of Nerdy Prudes Must Die doesn't help her explore herself properly either, as she's now serving the Lord's in Black, and I recently saw a post by @wups-up ,found here, which explains how Grace might prefer working for The Lords in Black as communication is easier and more direct rather than just praying and hoping for something to happen.
As long as Max is alive, Grace cannot be happy and truthful with herself. If Max dies, Grace cannot be happy and truthful with herself but she can be happy with her faith, serving the Lord's in Black.
But in every universe, she's a murderous psychopath and I love her for that :3

all goofing aside I genuinely don't understand the urge to reimagine Taylor Allison Swift as a secretly queer icon when the pop music scene(TM) is like. literally overflowing with women who actually like women. Gaga and Kesha and Miley and Halsey are right there. Rina Sawayama and Hayley Kiyoko and Rebecca Black and Kehlani and Victoria Monét and Miya Folick if you're willing to get slightly less top 100. Janelle and Demi for them nonbinary takes on liking girls. like what are we doing here. like I'm not even saying you can't enjoy Taylor but why would you hang all your little gay hopes on her.

Dick Grayson is not a golden retriever, he’s a border collie. Give him a job to do or he’ll destroy your house
Real. Gotta at least give him a phone and the channel for America's Most Wanted so he can stay stimulated.
