eleanor had always hated that flash and it was one she knew all too well after being a part of her mother's controversial campaign as a child. it was never something that had come naturally to her but she sucked it up to make her mother happy with her, a lot of good that had done nearly forty years later. still, despite hating being in front of a camera, the woman is rather animated when interacting with others and this would most likely show up on the internet one way or another. "oh!" the brunette's eyebrows raise. "what kind of offer?" she lets out a small laugh to ease her seriousness about it all. "you know love creating, and collaborating with others-" there was indeed a but coming. "it would depend what it is, how much time is needed, because in all honestly, i don't know if i'm coming or going right now." another laugh escaped her but this time it was to cover up her own awkwardness. it was good for her to be honest about where she was currently but perhaps she'd jumped to state her thoughts a little too early, before she'd even heard the proposal.
"trust me, after all these years, i'm in the same boat as you." he has been in the business for nearly all his life it feels like and still he was more comfortable behind the camera rather than in front of it so he knows how eleanor feels. the pressure of always saying the right thing, or when it comes to interviews, the legal things and while kale seems like he's making it easy, sometimes there are days he just wants to create rather than show. "actually eleanor it is good i'm seeing you here, i have an offer for you." his next film is in need of an artist and maybe eleanor would be interested in such a role.

from the first flash that had been set off, the woman had jumped. for a moment, the artist had forgotten what kind of environment she was in, what it felt like and it felt rather discombobulating. it was an honour to be invited, especially now that her mother was attempting to go down the american route of trying to take her to court. vogue had done her rather well - various articles about her art, featuring in the background of the portraits for actors - it was only right she would try to keep a good relationship with them and indeed anna. looking a little lost without her company, eleanor had zoned out for a moment before her eyes landed on the familiar face. not wanting to startle kale, she tapped him on the shoulder gently. "hey. yeah, i-" she itched between her ear. "i'm at a loss when it comes to all this."
open starter . . . the red carpet
they would ask questions he answered thousands upon thousands of times but kale still smiled, still ever polite to interviewers. did he care what he was wearing to the red carpet? not really but some people care for fashion and his suit was costly after all. but all kale wanted to talk about is his next film, which of course some interviewers mentioned and he talked about all he legally could, since his film was in post-production phase at the moment. he walked on the carpet when he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around. "hey, i didn't know i would see you here!" he greeted. "how are you?"

her 'break' hadn't been that long ago yet it felt like it. it was a slip, one that had never actually happened to her before and what better way to repair client relationships than to get herself back in her office to put in the work. christine lois was a firm believer in that, that and sacrificing a little happiness so that she could feel the thrill of success; she was lucky that she loved her wife and that the other woman loved her - if not, then her hunger for it would concern her. a client barging into her office isn't a common occurrence but it did happen occasionally. her phone started ringing moments before she was interrupted, indicating that it was a warning that her receptionist, jasmine, was unable to stop someone from coming her way. "hello to you too, miss labaki." her eyebrows raised as she fought to not lecture the other on the art of manners. "i don't know what you think i'd be doing in here. you have caught me rather early, though. i've only just got back from a meeting so if you would allow me to set up my laptop..." she pulled the device out of her bag. "what kind of emergency?" the words did send alarm bells ringing in christine's head - was she about to lose another client? it was her first day back, please no... "or, let me phrase. what seems to be the problem?"
𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗋𝗍𝖾𝗋 ── luciana & christine ( @fortunesfms )
𝗍𝗂𝗆𝖾 + 𝗅𝗈𝖼𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 ── christine's office, around lunch time
heels click confidently against marble-tiled floor as she walks through the sleek corridors that lead to christine's office. the real estate developer had been missing in action for god knows how long and luciana was starting to get antsy ── honestly, she could be having a real existential crisis and the older woman's receptionist kept blowing her off with bullshit excuses. it felt a little personal, to be honest. naturally, as soon as luciana learned about the other's return, she decided to bypass the humdrum task of scheduling a meeting. skipping the usual pleasantries, the actress gives christine's receptionist a saccharine smile that practically screams fake, 〝 i can show myself in. 〞 after a brief moment of hesitation, she turns the handle without knocking and steps inside, a hand dramatically flying up to cover her eyes. 〝 are you decent ? i don't mean morally…. 〞 the words trail off as she waves her free hand in the air, leaving it up to the femme to mentally fill in the blank before lowering her other hand and closing the door behind her. 〝 you're back, finally. i'm having an emergency, 〞 she lets out an exaggerated sigh, hand on her hip like a cardi b meme.
