she   considered   a   party   ages   ago,   but   charlie   merely   made   a   hum   in   response   to   the   idea;   knowing   it'd   probably   fall   flat   on   her   face   with   the   way   she   does   parties--    at   least,   compared   to   others.   charlie   looked   over   to   him,   hand   cupping   her   cheek   as   she   leaned   on   the   fancy   armrest   of   the   couch;   if   anyone   could   help   her   with   ideas   for   the   hotel,   it   was   definitely   angel   with   his   big   dream   of   hollywood   and   fame,   yet…

“    maybe,   but   i   don't   wanna   encourage   anything   too   bad.   the   moment   sinners   in   pride   start   indulging   in   drinking   and   whatnot,   the   worse   my   chances   are   gonna   get!   and   if   i   hand   them   cupcakes   and   give   them   fun   activities,   they're   just   gonna   leave.    “

it   was   no   surprise   miss   bleeding   heart   had   thought   of   everything   already   with   her   brain   full   of   a   million   unspoken   dreams,   yet   that   came   with   a   price   of   her   just   not   knowing   what   to   do   for   the   hotel.   compared   to   the   others,   her   ideas   were…   well,   childish.

charlie   watched   her   struggle   and   slump   against   the   old   wall   behind   her,   a   moment   of   respite   between   all   the   panic   washing   through   her   like   a   wave,   and   yet...   it   comes   back   just   like   before,   hands   panicking   to   hold   her   still   as   she   sighed,   slipping   her   phone   to   her.

"    p-   please,   stay   still!   your   phone   got   cracked   a   bit   but   i   did   what   i   could,   it   still   works—    just...   take   a   moment,   okay?   i'm   sure   your   colleagues   are   fine   too,   they're   strong!   you   weren't   with   them,   i   just   had   to   do   something.    "

her   eyes   asked   for   forgiveness   for   something   that   wasn't   even   bad,   yet   she   knew   it   upset   velvette.   those   two   were   like   how   the   hotel   tenants   were   to   charlie   for   her,   so   her   sympathy   shot   her   like   a   tranquilizer   as   charlie   sits   next   to   her,   arm   wrapping   around   her   shoulder.

"    just   try   to   relax.    "

She wants to hurl. Stupid tacky wallpaper, and old-ass furniture, and then the fucking PAIN by her ribs--

Her hand shoots up to the spot, pausing momentarily when she sees the bandages around her torso. Damn. Her dress is never going to recover from that stain.

Grimacing, Velvette slumps back against the wall, frustrated, and trying to remember what had happened. "You... found me out there?" She realizes, brows furrowing closely together.

She hadn't gotten to the tower in time?

Immediately, she begins feeling around her pockets. "Where's my phone??"
