"What the fuck," was all Jason could manage. First at the monster that appeared out of nowhere, then at the talking cat that also abruptly showed up. "Sure, alright, this may as well happen!"

He didn't have his suit or anything in the way of armor— Just some worn League fatigues under a leather jacket and a pair of trusty combat boots. He doesn't exactly need armor anymore, anyways. He looks at the girl approaching, brows furrowed. Pissed at the situation, more than anything.

"I'm fine. But— pardon my language, but do you know what the fuck is with the giant undead dinosaur shooting torpedos?"

There are some nasty scratches on his arm, almost as if he tried fist fighting the damned thing at first, but it's... already healing.

❂ "Lightning Paw!" Like a blur Tailmon flew past the aggressing party and the sound of lightning crackling could be heard as her claws ripped through them. She wasn't aiming to kill or anything like that, just incapacitate.

The whole city was in chaos. She barely got the gist of it. Other worlds were seeping in? So did that mean that Digimon were too? Hikari had questions while bringing up the rear, dashing over to the person Tailmon had just helped.

"Are you alright? Do you need first aid?" She was holding a first aid kit in one hand. She was holding her D3 in the other while Tailmon continued to fight off unknown assailants in the background.

He knows he's being teased. But, really, what other way is there for him to respond? There's no use trying to deny it. Hanabi was nice. A good kid. It'd kinda suck if people like her really did just spontaneously disappear.

"My... brother up and vanished. So. I was maybe a little bit worried. Just a bit. I don't know a lot of the people here, so." He shrugs, leaning down some to take some of those bags off her hands.

"Good to know that you're doing alright, though. This new-old roomate not giving you any trouble?"

HUH and she thought she was the awkward one. Watching Jason stumble a bit is kind of funny, but she's relieved to see that he is in fact actually here.

"I'm not sure. It was the first time it happened to me, but it's okay! The roommate I am with right now is the same one previously before we became roommates!" It was certainly easier. "We're neighbors though!" She says, lifting her hand with a big smile. At the offer of help, she'll take it. These bags are heavy.

"Jason, were you worried that I was sent back home?" She's teasing him. Just a tiny tease of course.

"Uh. Right. Good morning," Wow. One month alone in a building that's empty most of the time and suddenly he's forgotten how to interact with people. Well... Okay. He's never been good at that to begin with, and skulking about the streets at night instead of participating in society like a normal, sane person—

He shuffles awkwardly in place, not sure what else to say. "Is it normal for people to just spontaneously move apartments an' shit around here or somethin'? Cuz I woke up one day and you were, like, gone. I heard people just up and disappear sometimes too so I thought..." He gestures vaguely in her general direction. "Clearly, you're here and like in one piece though. So. Uh. You good?" A pause. "Need any help carrying those groceries?"

When Jason disappeared (at least that's what it felt like), leaving Hanabi all alone in their housing...it was hard. Hanabi didn't like being alone. Being alone meant anything could happen. She wasn't scared of people breaking in, but she was rather a little scared of being trapped in her own thoughts. Was that why her housing was moved? She doesn't know. What she does know is that one day all of her stuff were in one housing and then the next they were in her old housing. She was back rooming in with WW.

If only she knew that Jason had still been here, just....well, it would have seemed to Hanabi just completely missed him. That's embarrassing.

She didn't expect to see Jason on her run for errands actually. She almost thought she was seeing a ghost, actually. He speak and she releases a breath she hadn't realized she was holding.

"Y-Yeeah, no, that's me! Hanabi! There's no other Hanabi here but me! No doppleganger or anything like that!" It's taking everything from the bones and her inner core to just HUG this familiar face.

"Good morning, Jason!"

"Okay. What the fuck?" Perhaps not the politest way to greet someone who disappeared only to reappear just as spontaneously. But could anyone really blame him? Jason went from having an awkward roommate, to every trace of Hanabi just vanishing over night, and now — this. Running into her on the street while making his laps around the block. He heard about how people showed up and disappeared in this place all the time, but...

He didn't think he'd actually experience someone he vaguely knew pulling such a disappearing act on him. He blinks hard; once, twice, before turning around briefly to quickly light a cigarette. He's going to need a smoke in order to deal with this.

"Uh, long time no see, Hanabi-san — that is you, right? I'm not talking to some fey doppelganger or something?"
