Set (Sha)
The Mad King
[spoilers contained within character overview]
He/Him
Domain(s): Deserts, Storms, War/Guardianship Sacred Animal(s): Golden Wolf, Cobra
Parent(s): Geb, Nut Sibling(s): Osiris, Isis Partner(s): Isis(ex-wife) Children: Sobek, Anubis, Maahes(semi-adopted)
Early Life: Set's childhood was unfortunately quite similar to the one he later inflicted upon his first born child. His days were spent being hardened and weathered by Geb, who found Set to be too unruly, emotional, and disorganized. However, Geb was even harsher than Set would go onto be, rather than simply showing Set the horrors of the world, Geb would ensure he experienced each pain for himself. Unlike Sobek however, Set did not grow quickly as an attempt to meet Geb's expectations. Instead Set spent many decades as a godling under the hand of his father. This lasted until Osiris made moves for the throne. Fearing being left behind, Set began making moves of his own, becoming his brother's fiercest defender.
Godhood: The division between guardian and war gods is exceptionally blurred and Set is a very good example of both sides of the coin, defending those around him aggressively but also posing one of the largest risks.
Madness: Set has always shown signs of instability, but this came to a head during a fight with Osiris. Frustrated and desperate, Set lashed out when Osiris failed to respond to Set's concerns about his current state appropriately. This resulted eventually in Osiris's death. While Set did not emerge from the fight unscathed, he did come out of it with the kingship in his grasp. This seemed to be the final straw that pushed him over the edge. His hair, which had been black before, turned red, as though perpetually stained. From there his behavior became more erratic. A toddler at the time, Sobek unfortunately took the brunt of Set's delusions. Set defaulted to the behaviors he had learned in his own childhood, exposing Sobek to war and violence particularly early. When Sobek began showing disturbing, and frighteningly familiar behaviors, Set began to do anything he could to force Sobek into the mold of a good god. This included physical violence, neglect, isolation, and general abuse. The more Sobek understandably acted out, the more severe Set would become. When Sobek began eating hearts, seemingly without concerns for tradition or funerary rites, Set flew into an inconsolable rage. To Set, the risk of Sobek being killed by the other gods for something so disrespectful was far higher than the risk of damage he himself was doing. When Sobek had run away due to the abuse, and Set returned to Isis without their son, Isis left him with Anubis in tow. She went to search for Sobek largely on the surface without realizing he'd made it to the underworld. Sobek returned when he decided he'd found a safe and comfortable place. His intention was to take Anubis with him at minimum, if not Isis as well. And he was prepared to do so by force. Set lost a fight to Sobek before eventually revealing Isis and Anubis were already gone. Sobek left Set with many choice words which ignited a very slow change in his behavior. By the time Set meets his children again, his demeanor has wildly altered, becoming rather relaxed everywhere but a battlefield, even becoming something of a positive parental figure to Maahes when his mothers were occupied.
War Participation(s): Many wars have been waged at Set's behest. Most of his time is spent on battlefields, pushing in every direction for someone willing to strike back in any meaningful way. During the Olympic war, Sobek made contact with Set for the first time in the greater half of a century and made a bid for his hand in the war. It took very little persuasion. Set was eager to join the war. He took up the position Sobek had held in the Asgardian war and led with the unimaginable glee that could only come from finally being met with a challenge.
Weapon(s): Set wields a khopesh most of the time but is not above any other weapon he can get his hands on. While not quite as reserved with his corrupted animal form as some others, Set is still unlikely to use the sha in a fight and would prefer to claw, kick, and bite in a humanoid form if it came down to it.
Random Details: -Freckled! -Tattoos are a permanent tribute to Hathor, mirroring the fertility tattoos of her practitioners. He wouldn't have been able to have children without her help. -Waiting for someone to be able to dethrone him. -Leans into the image of insanity.

Loki
the god of creativity and craft
Oh I have many feels about him, im gonna work so hard to not just gush here guys!!!- also ignore that i find scales so hard to draw i really went just rough with it on drawing the snek, sneks are Jackolope's strength.
[spoilers contained in character overview]
Domain(s): Creativity and craft Sacred Animal(s): European Adders, Sibling(s): N/A Parent(s): Farbauti, (father) Laufey (mother)
(warning, the following discussion has some description of transphobia) Early Life: Loki was born in a female body, but had always been a shape shifter. He took joy in playing with magic, (a typically feminine role among the Aesir) and many other "woman's tasks". He didn't stop presenting as a woman until after he had Vali, his eldest child. Loki began to present more as male, while still enjoying the same feminine hobbies he'd always taken joy in. but Odin did not accept this change. He took Vali from Loki, insisting that the boy needed a proper father in his life, instead of Loki, who Odin deemed too effeminate- and not truly a man. Loki took whatever change he could to still be in his child's life, including working with Odin on many tasks. However, when Loki met Angrboda, he knew he wouldn't make the same mistake twice. Angrboda kept the children safe with her, only visiting when he deemed it safe enough. This lasted safely for many years, long enough for Loki and Angrboda to have three children together. First Fenrir, than Nari, and last is their baby girl Hel. Hel was still only an infant when the relationship between Loki and Angrboda was discovered. Angrboda was slain, and the children taken by Odin to be raised among the Aesir. After his first wife had been killed, it took him many more years to eventually remarry to Sigyn. However, he didn't have it in his heart to have children again, too scared to go through the pain of loss another time.
Godhood: Loki's true domains are creativity and crafting. He adores embroidery, spinning, and story telling, and is associated with metal crafting and smithing. However, as the the Aesir distrusted him, as Loki always enjoyed a bit of playful mishcief. That it was always treacherous. That all stories he told were laced in lies. As he lost any allies he may have once had, he relied on his trickery more and more- proving those who despised him right. Imprisonment: Loki grew bitter after he believed he'd lost all his children. As far as he knew, after the imprisonment of Fenrir, Loki had lost all of his children. He searched to take vengeance on Odin, by targeting Baldur. When his part in Baldur's death was exposed, Odin added insult to injury in trapping Nari, only revealing that Loki's second youngest was alive before imprisoning them together in an eternal torture.
War Participation(s): Hel and Fenrir sought out to free their father, which did further add to the conflict the Aesir had against Helhiem. Loki however was far too weakened to participate in battle at this time.
Weapon(s): Loki doesn't wield many weapons. He will use a dagger, or maybe poisons, and perhaps occasionally use a light bow. Since he was raised a woman, he was not taught battle. He relies on his magic, shape shifting, and deception more than strength.
Random Details: Loki adores weaving and embroidering things for his loved ones. He makes detailed works for his children as a show of love and affection. A way to engage in their interests and to show they are worth his time and effort.

Veles (Erebus/Chernobog)
Darkness Incarnate
[spoilers contained within character overview]
He/Him
Domain(s): Darkness, Deep Water/Rain, Agriculture, Guardianship Sacred Animal(s): Sighthound, Cattle
Parent(s): Rod, Nyx(estranged) Sibling(s): Svarog, Zemlya, Stribog, Moros(estranged), Thanatos(estranged), Hypnos(estranged) Partner(s): Mokosh(late-wife) Children: Morana, Hel(adopted)
Early Life: Veles is one of Nyx's many many estranged children, but unlike most of his siblings, Veles was born to a father. Rod took guardianship of Veles, where he became close with his older brothers and some of his oldest brother's children. Due to his conception being a calculated event, Veles was in competition with some of his family, labeled a miracle in power but a disappointment in personality. He quickly befriended Perun as they were approximately the same age, holding a rather strong bond for many years, but this relationship would slowly devolve in the coming millennia. He and Stribog also bonded as the two slightly more wild children, together forming an unfortunately prolific pair of trickster gods. Of his father's children, Veles is the youngest, of his mother's children, he is the oldest.
Godhood: As the incarnate of darkness, Veles uses his entire capability to shield the roots of the world tree from view, causing him to appear and present like a common god. The other facets of his godhood were largely acquired later in life through various trials and tribulations. His connection to deep water in particular was introduced when he gifted the land of Svarog's kingship with water to assist in providing life.
Parenting Hel/Dolya: Veles found Hel largely by coincidence, because the Asgardians hadn't yet established themselves a structured underworld, what would become Helheim was at the time part of Nav. Both with a soft spot for children and a habit of ignoring the will of the heavens, Veles took Hel in without bothering to question who she was or what the reason there could possibly be for her to be left alone, instead giving her a name and taking her in as his own. Given the loss of one daughter already under his belt, Veles was vigorously protective of her and more than a little overly cautious. His concern was however proven in it's validity when she was taken by the gods of Iriy. Veles made a deal with Perun to return Hel to him as well as keep quiet about her presence, which cost him an IOU as well as the peace he so valued on the surface.
War Participation(s): During the major conflicts of long long ago, Veles led battles proficiently as well as played severe roles in each and every one. When Zeus and Perun warred over their territories, Veles lost Mokosh and Morana to Perun's boasting when the young god king accidentally revealed where they were hidden. After that war, Veles swore off fighting and the heavens altogether, retreating to his homestead to very rarely be seen again. During the Asgardian and Olympic wars, Veles remained neutral as a way to protect the world tree. Though without that duty, he would have gotten involved on Hel's behalf.
Weapon(s): Veles carries two axes which were once weapons he used on the battlefield. Now though their primary function is frightening off predators and chopping wood or doing other tasks around his homestead.
Random Details: -Always simpler/rougher clothing. -Animal form is a Borzoi. (Being a wolf pinner is relevant at least once.) -Hunts with Stribog as a hound and an archer. -Sees himself as a shepherd first and a king second. -Basically a hermit with political power. (Lives on a little farm in Nav overseeing the world tree's roots rather than in Iriy with the other gods or in Nav's capitol.) -Pieces of Mokosh's hair is wrapped into his braids.

Morrígan
The Battle Crow
[spoilers contained within character overview]
She/Her
Domain(s): Omen, War/Tactics, Magic Sacred Animal(s): Fox, Black Dog, Crow
Parent(s): Huxian Sibling(s): Inari, (more unnamed) Partner(s): Hel, Dagda(ex-husband) Children: Cernunnos
Early Life: Morrígan's parent is one of the many pre-progenitor-split incarnates that produces alone. They have many offspring that populate the world in the form of foxes that bring messages and good will. Because of this Morrígan was free to settle in Tír na nÓg and become their messenger at a very young age without any influence from her parent. Morrígan was married before she reached godhood with the expectation that she would be similar to her many sisters, a swift messenger goddess of fertility.
Godhood: Unfortunately for her husband, Morrígan did not follow the trend her sisters set. While still a messenger goddess, the messages Morrígan brought were always of doom. Due to this Dagda cast her out and put a mild curse over her that dampened her godhood, keeping her away from the heavens and leaving her weakened to the level of a demi-god.
War Participation(s): Quickly after the birth of Cernunnos, Morrígan was pulled into the Asgardian war with the simple interest in helping Hel and her family with their efforts. As an accomplished tactician she was an instrumental part in the siege itself as well as deciding the way the battles were divided and where their forces would be placed. Morrígan did not have a chance to participate in the Olympic war as she was one of many to fall on the battle fields. This in part was due to the curse making her more vulnerable to mortal injuries.
Weapon(s): Without any physical weapons to be seen, Morrígan has been only seen to use magic and transformations in a fight. Taking on the form of any beast she sees fit, Morrígan can maul or maim as she pleases.
Random Details: -Enjoys glamour charms and transformations of all types. -Really doesn't wear clothes but ✨Censorship✨

Hel, queen of the dead
[ spoilers contained within character overview]
She/her Domain: The end of life, the realm of Helhiem is the death for those who do not enter Vahalla. This is a place for homemakers and farmers, not of warriors.
Early life: Hel spent her first few months of childhood with her mother, the Giantess Angrboda, and her siblings, Nari and Fenrir. Loki kept all of them hidden from the Asir gods best he could, visiting his children and their mother in secret. When they were discovered, the Asir gods killed Angrboda and took the children home. Odin had visions of these children becoming too powerful, and bringing Ragnorok to Asgard. Even though Hel was just a baby, she was cast out and thrown from Asgard to the underworld. This is where Veles found her. Having lost his own wife and children, he took the baby Hel on as his own. He did not know her given name, so Veles called her Dolya. She was safe and well loved, and was able to mature to her Godhood with ease.
War associations: Hel had no intention in starting a war when she freed her brother Fenrir from where he'd been bound and supposed to stay until the end of time. However, when the Aesir learned Fenrir was hiding in the underworld, demands to return him to his prison soon lead to high tensions.
Weapons: Hel does not battle with weapons. When she needs to defend herself she relies on magic, or occasionally a staff or walking stick. Random details: she will burst into a flock of moths for quick bursts of movement.

Nari (Jörmungandr)
The Midgard Serpent
[spoilers contained within character overview]
He/Him
Domain(s): The End: End of The World Sacred Animal(s): Grass Snake
Parent(s): Loki, Angrboda, Sigyn(stepmom) Sibling(s): Vali, Fenrir, Hel Partner(s): N/A Children: N/A
Early Life: The third son of Loki, Nari was particularly well pampered as a young child and awaited the visits to the land of giants that Loki would regularly make with bated breath. When he and his siblings were taken from their home by the Aesir, Nari made himself an enemy of the all father at the grand age of four and a half by biting off at least one of his fingers. Tossed towards the rocky shore to be supposedly dashed against the stones, Nari slipped into the sea and spent the next decade searching the seabed for a path into the underworld as a way to find his infant sister. Some years later, Nari made an enemy of Thor by being involved in a trick, this one sided rivalry lasted for the rest of Nari's free life.
Godhood: Nari's godhood is complicated, as a complete incarnate but incomplete god, he both is and isn't what he is. This is partially to do with his domain technically being the potential absence of something rather than the existence of something. In that way his godhood is the potential absence itself.
Loki's Imprisonment: When the Aesir decided to capture Loki, they chose Nari's mouth as the perfect prison cell but lacked an effective method of capturing and moving him onto land. The decision was made to have Vali do the majority of the very literally heavy lifting of moving and disemboweling the enormous serpent. The intestines were then pulled up around his mouth to keep it open, restrain him, and also restrain Loki. A sword was lodged between his teeth to cause a consistent drip of venom. With as heavy and large as he was, Nari's body was effectively crushing itself, compressing his lungs and other organs and slowly eating away at his life. To escape this situation, Nari used the resources already inside his body to again produce something that wasn't there, and crafted himself a second body, one he could have and use at a distance. He removed the sword from his teeth but refused to free Loki as it would be the same as killing himself, so instead promised to return when the weight of his own body was about to kill him.
War Participation(s): One of the three power houses spread across the battlefield, Nari's position in the wars is one of utter devastation, obliterating enemies indiscriminately. Because of his aggressive lack of war experience, Nari was paired with Vali who would be able to meter and control the wild violence while also providing a level of thought and strategy. Nari was not involved in directly dethroning any of the god kings, but instead in supporting those that were.
Weapon(s): As a non-venomous colubrid, Nari was not originally armed with any offensive forms of attack, but during his time in the sea, he developed a method of recycling the amassed salinity stagnating in his body to produce an acidic venom which could be injected or sprayed at prey or attackers. He also collected the sword used to keep that venom dripping during his captivity and later had Fenrir teach him how to use it.
Random Details: -Lost multiple ribs and his right arm to frost bite in the early days of being in the sea. -Perpetually chilly. -Technically a fire deity despite being physically confined to living in water. -Clothing thief. rest in peace Fenrir's long-sleeved shirts -"Jörmungandr" is used almost exclusively by the Aesir. -A feral child by definition. And also sometimes by vibes. -Met and befriended Sedna a few months after she secured reign over Adlivun.

Vali/Sleipnir
the great, eight-legged steed.
[spoilers contained within character overview]
Domain: swiftness Parents: Loki and an unknown father, fostered by Odin, Sibling(s): half siblings, Hel, Nari, and Fenrir. Was raised to have sibling relationships with Thor, Baldur and Tyr Partner(s): [n/a]
Early life: Vali, though being a child of Loki, was soon taken by Odin. Odin claimed that Loki, who had birthed Vali was not fit to be a father, too feminine and weak. Not to mention treacherous. So Odin raised Vali, keeping him away from Loki, and trained Vali instead to be at his side. When Odin saw how powerful Vali's animal form was, he trained him to become his steed of war. When Fenrir was later brought to Asgard, they trained along side each other, even becoming close for a time. Godhood: Vali does not experiment with his role. He spends most of his life being Odin's war steed until after ragnorok, when he finally begins to question himself. War associations: Vali fought in many battles against the giants, but in Ragnorok, is spared by Fenrir. He chooses not to fight but does monitor Nari.
Weapons: Vali is well trained in many weapons but favours broad swords and axe. Random details: Most warriors have their hair cut short. Vali's however is left long so that when he's in the form of a steed, Odin can grab hold of his mane for grip while riding.

Tyr
The Feeder of The Wolf
[spoilers contained within character overview]
He/Him
Domain(s): War, Strategy, Order, Swords Sacred Animal(s): Fallow Deer, Wolf, Ural Owl
Parent(s): Odin, Hymir Sibling(s): Thor, Vali(adopted), Baldr, Hodr Partner(s): Fenrir(past) Children: Hati, Skoll, Garmr
Early Life: Born mere moments after his half brother, Baldr, Tyr spent the large majority of his early childhood unnoticed by Odin, kept below Asgard where his mother was imprisoned. Until the three monster children of Loki were brought to Asgard. While Tyr wasn't present for their arrival, he quickly took to Fenrir, asked by Odin to teach the wolf the language of gods. Speaking the language of Jotunn/monsters is not common in Aesir, so Tyr was brought to the outside world for the first time purely for this purpose. (His memory of his time with his mother in the dungeons was wiped to prevent any misbehavior.) Happy for an excuse to make a friend that wouldn't ultimately be drawn to Baldr instead, Fenrir and Tyr were very close, Tyr taught Fenrir the language of gods and provided a shelter from the harsh treatment of Odin. At some point the two grew to be more than friends, but this was ended very unceremoniously during their teen years. As of now, Tyr does not know why his friend and partner shut him out so suddenly.
Godhood: Tyr can be invoked on the blade of swords with etchings of his name, to which he would bless them with victory. With a strong appreciation for organization, Tyr has a hand in the politics of Asgard and has created a large number of their laws. He has unknowingly made a pretty severe criminal of Odin.
Fenrir's Capture: It is common knowledge that Tyr lost his hand to binding Fenrir. However, the details of this are muddy to all but Tyr himself. Both frustrated with Fenrir's behavior and not believing the Aesir had actually managed to find a method to restrain Fenrir, Tyr placed his sword hand in the wolf's mouth with a level of aggravated surety. He did not expect the ribbons to hold and he did not expect Odin to agree to the terms knowing he had no plans to follow up his end of the deal if they did. When he realized he was in fact going to lose his hand, he failed to panic, instead scolding Odin while working to cut circulation and prevent too much blood from spilling on the floors. As soon as Tyr was able, he began visiting Fenrir where he was restrained in a mountain top, bringing him food and water in an attempt to atone for his literal hand in the capture. Tyr tried to release Fenrir any way he could, but didn't have the magic capability to pull it off. Since he lost his hand, Tyr has been trying and largely failing to apologize any way possible. When Hel released Fenrir and the two went on the run, Tyr stalled for them, allowing the Aesir to think Fenrir was still in their captivity for a number of weeks. This resulted in him being labeled a traitor and given his own imprisonment as punishment. There in the dungeons he met the wolves Blood, Bone, and Sinew, who he renamed Skoll, Hati, and Garmr. He is not unaware that these wolves were created from the blood of Fenrir but collectively he decides its to be ignored.
War Participation(s): Before Fenrir's imprisonment, Tyr, much like the his oldest two brothers, was deeply involved of the warfare around Asgard. However, he turned to pacifism and refused to raise a sword again until Ragnarok was at their door. Unfortunately no one cared to clarify on what side of the war he planned to raise that sword... During the siege on Asgard, Tyr was found deep in their prison system, and quickly joined the war effort as soon as he was freed. Tyr went on to participate in the Olympic war as well, acting as a soothing resource for multiple other gods.
Weapon(s): Tyr carries a sword and shield perpetually, but generally prefers not to use them, even after his vow of pacifism ends. His sword hand has become his left hand and his right arm has become his shield arm since he lost his hand. Thankfully this transition wasn't particularly difficult as he'd already been trained to fight both left and right handed. His sword remains on his left hip despite that becoming his sword hand as a mild signal of resistance to Odin. He has absolutely no issue drawing his sword despite it's position.
Random Details: -Mole under right eye. -Usually braids hair off to side but will leave it down at times. -Collected three children entirely on accident but rolling with it. -Care Taker™ -Learned magic while trying to free Fenrir and can still perform minor spells. -None of the Aesir really know who Tyr's mother is and this has resulted in an amusing number of increasingly wild theories. -A little brutalized with scarring due to dealing with the three wolf children while in captivity.

Fenrir, the nightmare wolf.
Bringer of the end times
[ Spoilers contained within character over view ]
He/him
Domain: the end of civility and peace. Bringer of end times. Parents: Loki, Angrboda Sibling(s): Hel, Nari, and half brother Vali Partner(s): Sobek, Tyr (past)
Early life: Fenrir spent his childhood with his mother, the Giantess Angrboda, and his siblings, Nari and Hel. Loki kept them hidden from the Asir gods best he could, visiting his children and their mother in secret. When they were discovered, the Asir gods killed Angrboda and took the children home. Odin had visions of these children becoming too powerful, and bringing Ragnorok to Asgard. Fenrir was trained by Odin after that, to become a weapon. As a teen, Fenrir was more powerful than Odin bargained for, too difficult to control, and only growing stronger. Odin decided he must be derail the visions of Ragnorok, and trap Fenrir in a weakened state. Fenrir was tricked into trap, and was left chained to a stone, and a sword jammed in his mouth. Tyr, Fenrir's friend and past lover, cared for him, even tried to free him, but to no avail. Fenrir stayed, suffering for longer than he could count. He was stuck in his own personal hell, until his sister came to him. Godhood: Fenrir along with his siblings are the three gods of the end of the world. They are the bringers of the end times, the gods of Ragnorok. Fenrir is the end of civility, a bringer of war and and through the violence, death. He's the end of society. For a short time, Fenrir becomes the all consuming end, like a dying star that burns up and destroys all in its path- even itself. War associations: Fenrir was made to be a warrior for the Aesir, and fought in many battles and missions before he was confined to his fate on the mountains. When he was freed by Hel, Tyr kept his escape hidden, but couldn't keep the secret forever. The Aesir demanded that Fenrir be returned to his imprisonment. The kingdoms of the underworld denied, since they were not part of this conflict. The afterlife is somewhere of peace, and they do not deny entry to their gates. The Aesir formed an alliance with the Olympians, to try to force the kingdoms to turn over Fenrir and Hel. Fenrir had been growing stronger, and he was driven by rage to complete the prophecy of Ragnorok.
Weapons: Fenrir has been trained to be proficient with swords, and daggers. These are what he uses best when in human form. However, he opts to fight in his wolf form. Random details: -Fenrir is unable to speak for a long time after he's freed, due to the damage done to his mouth by the sword. -He relies on his animalistic behaviour to communicate. -He reverts to his animal form when stressed, as he feels safer and more in control as a wolf than as a human. -He's his siblings and his bfs' favourite hot water bottle.

Sobek (Ammit/Cerberus)
The Hound of Hades / The Heart Eater
[spoilers contained within character overview]
He/Him (She/Her in animal form) its complicated dwai
Domain(s): War/Guardianship, Justice, Fresh Water, Purity Sacred Animal(s): Tesem, Nile Crocodile
Parent(s): Set, Isis, Hades(adopted), Persephone(adopted) Sibling(s): Anubis, Thanatos(adopted), Hypnos(adopted), Horus Partner(s): Fenrir, Megaera(past) Children: N/A
Early Life: Ages 0-9 were spent largely with Set and Set alone. While Isis was in the picture, Set kept their oldest son isolated from her, believing he was both dangerous and a problematic offspring. Sobek displayed aggressive compulsions to consume the hearts of the dead as well as the signs of some kind of personality disorder which often resulted in fights and abuse breaking out between him and his father as they spent large amounts of time on war fronts and near the corpses of the battles. All of this early violence manifested in a similarly violent and flighty child. At 9, Sobek ran from the war front and found his way to the entrance to Tartarus where he'd laid down for a rest after having run for days. Persephone, on her way back from the surface, found and quicky adopted him. She and Hades worked extremely hard to undo the damage Set had inflicted. When Sobek decided that their home was safe enough, he turned back to retrieve Anubis from their father's home, but found him already gone. In the underworld and kept far from the corpses of man, Sobek was able to grow comfortably without forced to battle for control of the heart eating compulsion. The name Cerberus was given to him by Persephone at his behest, originating from a story of Anubis mispronouncing Sobek as something that sounded similar to Cerberus. Godhood: Sobek's primary position is as a guardian god, protecting Hades' realm and those woven into his family unit. The second position is as a soul cleanser. Eating the hearts of the damned is a complicated but very effective method of cleaning out the mess left by the surface. While very technically an underworld and overworld prince of multiple places, Sobek isn't suited to leadership and has never made a bid for any throne. He's been a cleansing god by nature since infancy, but acquired guardianship and full godhood at 19.
Mask and Hood: The first mask Sobek used is based on the tesem, his original sacred animal, rather than reflecting his current animal form. For the majority of his life he's used this mask before it is eventually retired to Anubis during the Olympic war where Sobek takes up one more closely reflecting Ammit.
This new mask also leaves more of his face visible as he grows more comfortable.
War Participation(s): As a guardian god, Sobek is suited to a protective position in the wars. However, because it is them bringing the war, he took a more offensive position as ground slaughter in the Asgardian war, cleaning battlefields with spear and maw. He became one of three powerhouses. With an already vicious distaste for Zeus, Sobek was a little more aggressive with the Olympic war than the Asgardian war... In the Olympic war, Sobek moved from ground slaughter to the primary pushing force behind the siege, taking to position over from Fenrir.
Weapon(s): Sobek's preferential weapon is a spear with a blade formatted similarly to a khopesh or harpe. It is used primarily to control a large space and defend something or someone smaller than himself. When forced to move into more direct combat or close quarters, Sobek has an actual khopesh. He has also been known to fight bare handed or with his teeth. He is not likely to use Ammit until it comes down to a dire life or death last resort.
Random Details: -Born female but spontaneously swapped as a child but animal form remains female. Isis had many questions. -Adrenaline junkie. -Extremely sensitive to having his hair touched. -Cheek dimples!! -Favoritism for Persephone. -Simply cannot accept that he might not be the worst ever.

Thanatos
Death Incarnate
[spoilers contained within character overview]
He/Him
Domain(s): Peaceful Death, Fate Sacred Animal(s): Snowy Owl
Parent(s): Nyx, Persephone(secondary), Hades(secondary) Sibling(s): Veles(estranged), Sobek(adopted), Moros(twin), Hypnos Partner(s): Anubis Children: N/A
Early Life: A treasured underworld prince, Thanatos has an appreciation for his direct family rarely found in gods and even less commonly seen in incarnates. The cooperative parenting of Hades, Persephone, and Nyx, gave each of the sons their own primary care taker. Thanatos often defaulted to Hades, finding him the least likely to be occupied by one of the needier children. With a solid upbringing and an aggressive need to be self sufficient, he reached godhood by the age of 13.
Godhood: As an incarnate, Thanatos goes through a second stage of godhood much later down the line. The first stage provided him the very broad and unspecified domain of death, which took him a significant time to reach even partial mastery of. He took over the role as the primary psychopomp for multiple portions of the surface, including those under other pantheons that lacked their own mirroring underworld. The second stage narrowed down his domain to that of peaceful death, relinquishing the command of violent death to Moros while taking on a portion of fate in return. Thanatos has had a very difficult time adjusting to handling humanity, especially when they are resistant to his command as his nature is to be gentle, which leaves him vulnerable to violence and manipulation. Unhelpfully, Zeus often uses Thanatos as a tool to meddle with human lives for his own amusement, leading Thanatos to force fate to bend to his will unknowingly.
The Crimes of Sisyphus: Due to his gentle nature, Thanatos had a very difficult time dealing with particularly sly humans. The primary example is Sisyphus. Sisyphus cheated Thanatos numerous times, but Thanatos remained patient, instead having Hephaestus build him chains that could contain the squirrely soul long enough to bring it to the underworld. Sisyphus knew Thanatos would be kind if he simply played up his fear, so he grew frantic and panicked, leading Thanatos to attempt to calm him down. Thanatos even went as far to display that the chains weren't harmful by clasping one around his own arm. Sisyphus used the opportunity of low guard to flip the script, chaining Thanatos into prison cell for months. Anubis had expressed concern over Thanatos's absence, but true alarm wasn't raised until mortals simply stopped dying. The search grew frantic when the usually steady flow of souls to Tartarus was practically cut off. Sheltered from the night sky, even Nyx found it difficult to track Thanatos down, defaulting on Moros to continue the work with mortals so the impact on the surface would be minimal. Thanatos did not handle his captivity well, falling into delusion at times but eventually reaching some kind of understanding of his domain, allowing him to reach full potential as an incarnate.
War Participation(s): Thanatos's hand in the wars are far more gentle and behind the scenes. Cleaning battlefields and wounds and only directly participating in the siege on Olympus where he was involved in dethroning Zeus. During the dethroning of Zeus, Thanatos cuts out Zeus's tongue to keep him from revealing too much of the uses he had made of Thanatos and his domain, worried largely for how it might affect the way he was viewed by his family. Weapon(s): The scythe Thanatos originally wields is given to Moros with domain of violent death, from that point on he is not known to directly use any weapons and instead wields his domain to his full advantage where he can.
Random Details: -Had no idea he had a twin until he'd been around for the greater part of a century- -Enjoys painting but is incapable of self portraits. -Behaves differently in each realm and not one of them is really truthful. -An unfortunately twisted sense of self.
