I decided to stay a few days longer after my contract finished. Renting a bicycle for three days, I followed the Han River for around 100km upstream from central Seoul, the looped back across country via Icheon and Seongnam. In retrospect that was a mistake, as out-with the dedicated long distance cycle routes it was fairly hectic riding with large roads and lots of traffic.

There were splashes of cherry blossom across the landscape, and the other trees were just beginning to flush green with new growth. Unfortunately the daily haze tended to mute the colours.
