These prompts function so that you can pick/choose which prompts for the days you like best, but aren't required to follow. Find the prompts for the week HERE!

3- Tag either @luztoyeweek in everything you make and/or use the tag #luztoyeweek2025 in the creations you post, so that it can be reblogged from here!

4 - The Archive of Our Own collection for fanfiction for the week can be found HERE. It is open and unmoderated, so any authors who wish to add their work to the page are free to do so. For any questions on how to do this, DM me @blood-mocha-latte.

5 - To learn how to post to an Ao3 collection, find an informational guide HERE. For other questions relating to fanfiction, find the tag for it HERE, and reach out if you have more questions.

In which I dive too deep into Joe Toye's time in Washington DC

taken from a previous post of mine: X (This is all in good fun, no disrepect to the actual veterans)

I mentioned earlier that I was making my way throught the Lavender Scare, and if I'm to believe it, Washington DC was The place to be for LGBTQ community pre-1945. Off course, because I have my HBOwar goggles on at all times, I instantly got reminded that before joining the paratroopers, Joe Toye was actually stationed there for a brief period of time as part of the 29th infantry division. Marching around in his class A uniform, "guarding social security buildings, Boiling field (air base) and different places."

Naturally, I had to cross reference the meeting places mentioned in tLS with the places Toye mentioned, and I ended up with two locations which are pretty close to places that Toye could've been a guard at, the first of them being Lafayette Park.

When I looked it up, I couldn't it find on the map at first, Lafayette square? Yes, but Park? No. Luckily, they do mention a whole lot of things in and around that park, like it's one square block across Pennsylvania Avenue, that they are taking strolls through misty lawns near the Washington Monument and meeting at the YMCA on G street, so it was pretty easy pinpoint what park they're actually talking about:

As you can see, the hottest gay meeting place was right in the front yard of the White House, with literally a hop and skip away from it, the Social Security Administration. or as Toye puts it; Social Security Buildings.

The second place, with social security buildings Toye could've guarded is closer to Boiling Field, and right across the Navy Yard. which if you know, you know.

Now, you might be thinking, where am I going with this? well, nowhere. But say you want to write a fic with Toye and you want to give him some experience, you don't have to look far. Just know there's a non-zero chance Toye could've walked straight into two men or women getting frisky in front of the white house.
