Spring Flowers - Tulips
What are tulips a symbol of?
The meaning of tulips is generally perfect love. Like many flowers, different colors of tulips also often carry their own significance. Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love, while purple symbolizes royalty.

Do tulips need a lot of water?
Tulips require very little water and can easily rot or sprout fungus if they're left in standing water. When you plant your bulbs, put them in very well drained, preferably dry or sandy soil. ... After you've planted your bulbs, water them once thoroughly. The bulbs need water to wake up and start growing.
Where do tulips grow best?
Tulips are brightly colored, upright flowers which bloom from early spring to early summer. Native to the foothills of the Himalayas and Eastern Turkey, tulips grow best in areas with cold winters and dry, hot summers. Tulips are relatively easy to grow and do particularly well in flower beds and borders.
