What are wards?
Wards are magical barriers that protect the caster from a variety of things. These things include, but are not limited to: curses, spirits, undesired energies, attention, etc.
These barriers can be constructed through a variety of ways. Of course it goes without saying that each of these ways requires intent, focus, passion, & energy work.
Why every single practitioner should use them:
In every practitioner's life, they’ll come across something they would rather keep at arm's length. Most commonly it is going to be unwanted energetic or spiritual presences, provided the practitioner has sufficient energetic awareness. However, protecting from curses is always a good course of action.
There exists a plethora of methods to ward, ranging from very dense and complex, to physical and simple. However, it is important to note that some methods are more effective than others. There are also methods you’ll find on the internet that just don’t do anything. One that immediately comes to mind is the Golden Egg or Egg Shield, as these methods operate off of pure visualization; which is to say that they are imaginary.
Types of wards:
Energetic: The projection of energy into a construct that is programmed a specific way either in casting or by the use of energetic sigils.
Sympathetic: These methods include such use as curse blocking jars, horse shoes, brooms, etc
Talisman: Metasigils that are placed into wood, metal, or paper that are designed and programmed to protect against certain energies or entities.
Enchanted objects: Objects that are hexed to protect against unwanted energies or entities.
Sacred circles and spaces: A space that has been cleansed and sanctified, which blocks outside spiritual forces from entering.
Clothing: This technically falls under sympathetic. There exists in some cultures that hold the concept of certain colored clothing as being protective during ceremony or a working.
Symbols and Sigils: Sigils and symbols used to create a barrier against magical forces.
Divine protection: Petitioning a deity for protection.
Spiritual protection: Petitioning a spiritual entity for protection.
Psychic wards: Mental wards that are projected outwards via psychicism. This is not done through visualization.
In this next section I will be giving a few examples to set a framework for you to work within conceptually. Some of these may include concepts or terms that you aren’t familiar with.
If you’re new to witchcraft in general, I recommend starting with this post. If you’re new to energy work, I recommend starting with this post.
Beginner friendly wards and how to cast them:
Sympathetic: In a sympathetic ward, there are a few concepts that must be included. They are: what you wish to protect against; a solid emotional backing for the ward; a basic understanding of energy work; a proper headspace; and the items that have the correlating correspondences to you. To start, you’ll need to have everything needed right near your person, so that you do not break headspace to grab anything. Be sure that you have at least a rough plan as to your spell process. Cleanse yourself, your space, and all items involved in the casting. Then, take all of the items that you have correspondences for and energetically tie them together. This can be done while incorporating them into a larger object, like a candle or jar. Collect energy and run it through your subtle body, ending with your mind, where you’ll instill the intent of your ward into the energy. Be sure not to visualize throughout this process or it’ll hinder your ward. Visualization before or afterwards would actually strengthen your desired effect. Visualizing beforehand will give you a framework to work within and act as another correspondence. Then, place that energy as a thread through each item. While doing this, be sure that you are riding a wave of your emotional connotation in order to give your intent momentum. Once all the items are energetically and physically bound together, perform an action that is abrupt and creates some sort of noise to signify that you are complete. This helps your mind break away from the working and allows you to energetically disengage. Sympathetic wards can also be placed on to objects as an enchantment and carried on your person. However, doing so would require that the ward be energetically anchored. You may also do this to an object made of iron and place it over thresholds.
Clothing: This method is rather simple. Find a color that you correlate to the concept of protection and wear it. It could be beneficial to use the above method to instill your article of clothing with your intent, energetically. Without doing so would make this method the weakest that you could employ.
Sacred Spaces: To create a sacred space, you must first decide its perimeter. This can be a circle or the walls of a room. Cleanse the entire space and all objects. If you work with any deities or spirits, call them into the space to help you sanctify it; if you do not, you can skip this aspect. Then, create an energetic construct that is the same dimensions of the space you’ve decided on. It can be helpful to have spirits or correspondences for the cardinal directions to call on as well. If you work with spiritual entities, petition them to sanctify the energetic space. If not, pull your own essence out while completely engaged with your emotional momentum, headspace, and intent. Infuse your energetic construct with your essence of protection. Then, perform an action that is abrupt and creates some sort of noise to signify that you are complete. This helps your mind break away from the working and allows you to energetically disengage.
Symbols & Sigils: The first step to creating sigil or symbol wards is to create your sigils or symbols. If you are in the broom closet, it would be beneficial to have things hanging on your walls that you can hang in front of your sigils. Create these sigils on sheets of paper. Create a simple energetic construct projection of the space you’re warding. Then, energetically bind each sheet to this construct as instructed in the sympathetic section. Hang them on each wall of your space. If you’re closeted, you can either create the sigils on the back of wall-hangings or hang them in front of the sheets. Alternatively, you can draw directly on the wall with salt water. Salt water works best as when the water evaporates it’ll leave a salt residue in the shape of your sigils on the walls. If you'd like to check out my sigils, click here. (Wont let me increase link size, I'm sorry)
How to make wards more effective when beginning to learn how to cast them:
The best way to make your wards effective is to plan them out thoroughly. Think of all possible variables in what you're trying to protect from and all forms that it can take. The more information you have going into your working, the more accurate your ward will be. The second tip I have is to surrender completely to your headspace during casting. Enter a state of gnosis on your working. This applies to all spell casting. Lastly, revisit the anchor for your ward and ensure that it is still energetically present. If it isn’t, you may have to recast it or recharge it.
Important variables to keep in mind:
Visualization will hinder your wards so much. Wards cannot exist only in your imagination and be effective. You must actually go through the processes, both energetically and physically.
Be sure that you know what spirits you are working with. Verify every spiritual interaction you have in as many ways as possible. Do not take their word for it or just accept their vibes. For this reason, I did not include deity or spiritual petitions in this post.

DEVOTIONAL ACTS AND OFFERINGS TO FENRIR
~These may also serve as ideas to put on an altar~
Physical Offerings
Bones (Found Naturally or Bought from Ethical Sources)
As his name translates to "Fen-Dweller", offerings themed around the Woods, Marshes, or Fens may also be given (Some examples may include sticks, acorns, plants, or other things that remind you of him. Please do not harm the area to gather your offerings!) [This is also a easily affordable option!]
Wolf Imagery (Statues and Sculptures, Figurines, Images and Drawings)
Meat (I tend to use red meats, like steak and roast beef)
Candles, Incense (More woody and musky themes)
Crystals (Sticking darker usually, you can use intuition or try and ask him what he might like, but some safe options (and fairly afforable!) are Obsidian, Smokey Quartz, Hematite, Onyx, Petrified Wood, Bloodstone, Lava Rocks, Black Agates, and Howlite. Some more expensive stones can be Silver, Copper, Fossils, and Lapis Lazuli
Herbs, examples can be Mugwort, Root (Burdock, Valerian, etc), Barks (Willow, Birch, Oak)
Cut and dried wood slices (I found and dried mine, but you can usually buy natural wood slices at craft stores!)
Photos or Drawings of nature (bonus points if you went out to sit and draw them based off what you saw)
Mead and Wine (usually reds) [And if of age]
Silver Rare-ish Coins (Half-Dollars, Silver Dollars)
Spiritual Offerings
Lend him memories. Especially ones of you walking out in nature, being free. Fenrir is trapped and chained, you can offer him those short moments of freedom
Talk to him. Even if you don't hear a response. Talk about your day, what's bothering you, etc. Keep him some company for a while- it gets lonely in his position.
Let him tell you his story. No amount of story or research will exactly equate to what he has to say. Open your mind to his sides of the stories, let him tell you what happened. Legends and myths don't share it all.
Offer him your pain. Not physical- (do not harm yourself as an offering!)- but mental and emotional. Give him your anger and work for forgiveness, give him your stress and work on taking care of yourself. (I've offered my emotional pain before, and then given myself some care with his guidance; I tend to feel much better after)
Standing up for yourself
Being fearless/facing what you're scared of
Easily Afforable/Free Options
Items found in Nature/From going outside
Most Spiritual Offerings (above)
Photos and Drawings/Symbolism
Lighting a Candle
Small Coins
Bones and Herbs (Many can be found outside/foraged for)
That's all I have for now, this list may be updated as more ideas show themselves!
Skål!

A norse runework starter pack!
Because runework is basically at the core of my craft, I use it all the time and I’m already more than familiar with it. Runework is super easy to incorporate into everyday life and it’s got a wide range of use so I truly recommend. It feels safe and reliable, and I don’t need to put a lot of time or focus on them. Now let’s get down to business to defeat the Huns.
Their story real quick:
So in His endless search for knowledge, Odin the Allfather hung Himself and was pierced by His own spear in order to be alone with Himself. He accepted no bread and no mead until He found the truth He’d been looking for. And He did: through the darkness of His own mind, Odin saw the runes and reached for them. It was told they were so powerful He could bring a man back from the dead using them.
The basics:
The runic alphabet, otherwise called Futhark. Because I’m a history nerd I try to use the “elder futhark” as much as possible, though there’s a new one going around that’s really popular too.

The more complicated stuff:

Vegvisir (you’ll often find it depicted inside a rune circle like the second pic, especially on jewelry and pendants): Vegvisir is first and foremost a compass, and its name translated from Icelandic quite literally means “that which shows the way”. Historians speculate that its shape might be derived from old sailing wayfinders in Scandinavia, thus its association with the compass. It’s supposed to guide one’s way through the storm, according to a line in the Huld manuscript. (x, y)

Aegishjalmur (Helm of Awe): Protection, protection, protection! That’s what it’s about. All of its branches are considered to be “guarding” the center, thus making it a major protection rune. Once you get the gist of it, it’s super easy to draw and useful. If you’re a fan of dragons like me, perhaps you know Fafnir’s invicibility was drawn from this rune, as stated in the Fáfnismál: The Helm of Awe | I wore before the sons of men | In defense of my treasure; | Amongst all, I alone was strong, | I thought to myself, | For I found no power a match for my own. (x, y)
Aight quick presentation for other complex runes:

Now; How do I use runes? Where do I put them?
Draw them anywhere and everywere. I wouldn’t recommend painting a ten-feet inguz on the closest police station but there’s still tons of places where runes can be useful. I draw them inside my wrists and close to pulse points, as way of “pumping” them into my system, so to speak. I write them down to focus my intent during rituals, choosing the one/s I need most atm. In a similar way, I envision them during meditation to clarify my intent. I also use them to decorate altars or devotional art. If you’re a norse pagan like me, maybe look up what runes your main deities are associated with! Quick rundown:
Odin is usually othala or ansuz
I often see Freyja associated with fehu, but that’s also the case for most of the Aesir
Tyr with teiwaz
Thor with thurisaz or uruz; etc…
What about bind runes?
By definition and according to historical speculation, bind runes are futhark runes which were merged into a single glyph (sometimes by carving them all on a single straight line, like oghams). They were super rare back in the viking age but they’ve become popular in the last few years.
People create them according to their needs. This aspect makes bind runes extremely versatile and personal because you can set really specific intents for them. They’re not exactly like sigils, though: when it comes to sigils, feeling and instinct usually guide people’s creation process. As for futhark bind runes, they’re made using existing glyphs from this specific alphabet. Here’s a bunch of bind runes that have been going around, just to give you guys a few ideas of what they can look like:

OKAYYY that’s all for me, time to sleep

My Work and Experiences with Fenrir

(This might be a long post, bear with me here.)
Please forgive any typing errors, sometimes I miss things, I am human. :)
In a lot of Forums, Webpages, Resources, and even down to Drawings I've seen, Fenris doesn't seem to get much of a good reputation.
Seen as the "big bad wolf" of Norse Myth, those who work with or worship the "Bringer of Ragnarök" have been shunned or put down by other Practitioners; at least in different parts of the Web I come across.
This isn't as much as an Informational Post than more of a "Fenrir Appreciation" Post, but nonetheless I believe it might shed some light on the "Good" parts of the Great Wolf.
First:
Fenrir is not a "Black or White" Deity. He is not all bad (as many like to make him out to be) but he is certainly not all good either. Working with him has lead me to believe he lies somewhere around the "morally grey" side.
Which I suppose can make him easy to relate to, because no human is all good or all bad. He was shunned and bound for what he would grow to be, not necessarily because he was evil, as many seem to think he is.
Now that that part is out of the way, some of my personal appreciation for Fenris Wolf below.
Comfort
Yes, comfort. Easily one of the first positives that comes to mind; Fenris has always brought with him an intense but warm presence. Through communication, sometimes it seems he knows exactly what I need to hear at the time, and despite the intensity his energy can have, more often than not it feels like a warm blanket has wrapped over me. His presence feels like more of a safety than someone to be feared.
Honesty and Self Improvement
Fenris is also a Bringer of hard truths. He will be entirely honest with you, especially if it comes to calling out behavior you need to fix yourself. I like to attribute a lot of my recent self-improvement to the things he has pointed out to me; both what I need to improve on, and what I need to start doing.
Strength
Now not necessarily PHYSICALLY strong, but Fenrir has pulled me out of a lot of moments where I've felt "lesser than", whether it's more of a comforting presence or the wolfish "bare your teeth and get up off the ground". He'll be a constant reminder that no, you're not done yet, it's not time to give up. There has been a few times now where I fully believe he offered a small bit of his strength to help get me back on my feet again.
Ferocity and Confidence
I would like to preface this bit with the admission that I used to be a "doormat". I didn't speak my opinions, I let people walk all over me, and I didn't voice the things I needed.
With Fenrir I've slowly been able to work towards and find that I can speak what I want, defend myself and my needs, and I don't feel guilty for saying what I need to. Working with him and speaking enough to get his advice has made it where I feel fully confident to say exactly what I need to without feeling that guilt for voicing my opinion.
Companionship
Most Deities I would never consider "companions", nor am I trying to say I am on the same level as Fenris (for he is still a Deity and I am most certainly below him), but there have been many times where I can feel him walk with me, or even give simple reminders that he is in fact still here, or that he hasn't abandoned me. Those small reminders have only added to the comfort he brings me, because there are times I haven't needed to ask for a reminder of his presence. He'll often make himself known to you, if he has to slap you across the face with obvious signs.
Power
Down to the Pagan side of it, I've felt more confidence in my work and divination skills, I've branched out in new ways and overall improved my craft through his guidance and finding my own power. Comparing my progress of before working with him to after, there's been a huge jump in my abilities and how I do things than before. Reflecting on it, it seems that the entire path I followed has changed, and for the better. I don't feel as stagnant in my progress or what I'm focused on. I feel rejuvenated, motivated, and powerful.
Reflection and Mindfulness
Fenris has given me many moments to reflect back, through both shadow work and simply taking the time to meditate and/or reflect on my actions of the day. Going back after, I can explore what I would have changed if I had the chance, and push that forward for the next time something similar can happen. This loops around again to that Self Improvement, and feeling more confident in my action. And oddly enough, sometimes he serves as a reminder that it is okay to rest. To take a moment for self care and simply for you. Not every moment needs to be drained on Deity Work, your Path, or Responsibilities. While he doesn't hesitate to remind you what needs to be done, he will give the leisure of letting you feel the need to take breaks.
Acceptance
Even through his Mythology, Fenrir is an outcast. Bound and Fettered for a Fate he did not decide, he seems to have a habit of taking in your own feelings of not belonging, and turning them into strength and empowerment. Other than things I have needed to improve on, he has shown no anger nor distaste for things that a good chunk of people would have outcast me for. He is forgiving and accepting of Mental Illness, Identity, and Sexuality. Something I cannot vouch for from parts of humanity.
Reflection
As far as the Deities I have worked with go, though intense, he seems caring and gentle, but blunt enough to push you to improve.
Despite his reputation for villainy or destruction, direct speaking with him has shown that he is aware of his destiny and has made his peace with it, but in some ways he does not want to be the one to end the worlds. He has a bitterness and feelings of betrayal for the God's who chained him; but overall he is a *surprisingly* peaceful but intense Deity. He is accepting, he doesn't demand extravagant offerings or every moment of your time, only the promise of doing better and improving.
Now this isn't to speak for everyone, because experiences will be different, but all in all, he is one of my favorite energies I've gotten the honor of working with, and I fully disagree with the beliefs that Fenrir is a Deity everyone should steer away from.
Is he someone I would recommend to a beginner? Maybe not, but I do not think he should be looked down on for the Fate he will bring.

A Informational Dump on Fenrir

Names:
Fenrir (Fen-Dweller)
Fenris (Coming from "Fenrisúlfr")
Fenrisúlfr (Úlfr meaning Wolf, Fenrir's Wolf or Fenris-Wolf)
Vánagandr/Vanargand (Monster of the River Van)
Hróðvitnir (Fame-Wolf)
Appearance:
Fenris is said to appear as a Ginormous Wolf, with Black Gur and Red Eyes. However, for me personally, his fur appears as more of a darker greyish color. :)
Mythology:
All of these are going to be kept as short as I can, while still keeping them accurate and informational. (Low Energy for those who don't like to read as much or are having a hard day and out of spoons!)
Birth and Prophecy:
Fenrir was born to Loki and Angrboða, among of course, his other siblings. (Jördmungandr and Hel). The Æsir had heard of these births, along with the prophecies that came with them. Fenrir was to swallow Odin, the "Head Ruler" of the Æsir, and the other children to add their destruction with the bringing of Ragnarök; the End of Worlds. Now it would be obvious the Gods didn't like to hear about their own endings, so the effort was put in to try and hold off Ragnarök.
Jördmungandr was thrown into the deepest depths of the Ocean, curled around Midgard (Earth). Eventually he grew large enough to bite at his own tail, and the Ouroboros is a common symbol used to represent him.
Hel, Fenrir's other sibling, was set to rule Helheim, land of the Dead.
Meanwhile Fenrir himself was raised by the Æsir in hopes he would grow to favor the Gods. However as he grew larger and more ferocious, the Gods began to fear what he would become, and Fenrir was tricked into being bound in fetters (leg bindings).
The Binding of Fenrir:
At first, Fenrir was tricked into bindings, told by the Gods that it was a game, a test of his strength. He was first bound with Leyding, created by the Gods themselves. It was the strongest chains they had created, however Fenrir broke it with a single kick.
The Second Binds were known as Dromi, also made by the Gods, and twice as strong as before. Fenrir struggled a moment, but in under a minute he had broken free.
The Third and Final Binding was Gleipnir, which roughly translates to "Entangler" by most sources, though other sources have argued a few different translations.
Gleipnir was crafted by the Dwarves from 6 "impossibles" (The Sound of a Cat's Footfall, a Woman's Beard, the Spit of a Bird, Breath of a Fish, Roots of a Mountain, and Sinews of a Bear). Light and thin, Gleipnir appeared as merely a ribbon. However the Gods had sensed its power, and none of them had proven able to break it.
So from there Gleipnir was presented to Fenrir, with the Gods challenging that he could not break it, as none of them had been able to. Fenrir had scoffed, as ripping such a seemingly small thread would not be as impressive as thick chains.
However he sensed a trap, and agreed with caution to allow the ribbon to be tied around him as long as he had the assurance he was safe, which required the Gods to sacrifice their own safety as well. Tyr, (who had been feeding and caring for Fenrir as the Gods grew more and more fearful of him, and the one Fenrir trusted most) was the only one brave enough to volunteer. He placed his right hand into the jaws of Fenrir as the great wolf was tied.
Fenrir struggled and kicked, but the ribbon only tightened around him. The Gods mocked and laughed at Fenrir for being unable to break himself free. In the rage, Tyr lost his right arm to Fenrir, the sacrifice for binding the wolf.
Gleipnir was fastened to a large stone, which was then anchored to another, larger stone. A sword is then forced through Fenrir's jaws, keeping him trapped.
His children, Sköll (Sun Devourer) and Hati (Moon Devourer) were the only ones who attempted to free him. However the ribbon proved unbreakable, and the children were punished with chasing the Sun and Moon until Ragnarök, when the planets will be swallowed.
Location:
According to Myth, Fenrir is said to be bound on the Island "Lyngvi", in the Great Lake "Amsvartnir" (roughly translated to Pitch Black).
Personal communication with him sets more of a woodsy location, he is usually within a large circle of trees.
Things that Remind Me of Him:
The rush of adrenaline after doing something you're proud of
The burn in your muscles and lungs after a run or working out
The strength in standing up for yourself and defending what you believe
The smell of the Woods and safety of the darkness
Embracing the darker parts of yourself, whether it is simply to acknowledge them, or work on healing them
The rage associated with something being unfair or inequal
Rebelling against the "Norm"
Being unapologetically "You"
The Cyclical Events and Beginnings and Ends in life
The harsh heat of Flames
The scent of fresh-brewed coffee
Protection Magick
Caring your Mental and Physical Health
Putting yourself first in times of need (not selfishness, but times where you are needed to be put first)
Emotional Pain (Sorrow, Anger, etc. Offer it to Him too!!)
Dark Colors, Makeup, and Outfits
Bloodstone, Obsidian, Petrified Wood, Smokey Quartz, Tree Agate, Lapis Lazuli, Howlite, Hematite, Carnelian, Onyx, Black Moonstone, and Fossils (for my Crystal Focused Practitioners)
Mugwort, most types of Roots and Barks (White Willow, Oak, Birch, Burdock, etc), Yarrow, Yew Berries, Pine Needles, Turmeric, and other "Woodsy" Plants (for my Herb-Based Witches)
Parents and Siblings:
Fenris was born to the Jotuun Loki, the Trickster God, and the Jotuun Angrboða, Mother of Monsters. Along this were his Siblings, Jördmungandr the World Serphent, and Hel, Ruler of Helheim, the realm of the Dead (which is also a part of Niflheim).
Children: Sköll and Hati [Though some mythology speculates They and Fenrir are the same being(s)]
Disclaimer:
These retellings and translations are by my own words and own research, I cannot promise 100% accuracy on it all.
Please forgive any spelling or grammar issues, I am human and make mistakes. :)

On Offerings and Altars
Offerings don't need to be something new and shiny, placed on an altar as a physical reminder of devotion. I know a lot of us, myself included, are drawn to tangible items that we can use in our practice, especially with the influences of new age marketing and just... capitalism as a whole... But as nice as they are, those items do not define our devotion.
Offerings could be quiet, words of thanks whispered under the breath or only spoken in our minds. It could be song, even the kind that's belted out during car rides or while cleaning.
Even the act of cleaning or maintenance could be an offering. This could be on ourselves, where we cut ties with negative people or work on our own betterment. Remembering to take medication, drink water, eat regularly, or any form of physical activity could all be acts of devotion.
You could make offerings of your lowest points as well, where you can offer up your anger or grief or fears. Sharing any emotions with your deities could be powerful offerings.
When it comes to altars, they could be as simple as extra place settings at a table or a designated seat in living room. As someone who loves pocket altars, a small collection of tiny knickknacks that remind me of my deities has served me well.
What I mean by this rant is that your devotion does not need to be a show all day every day. You have no reason to feel as though you're a poor devotee if you lack the offerings or altars that others do.
Even if you aren't able to be the model devotee every single day of the week, the gods are forgiving and willing to accept whatever it is you have to give, no matter how tangible.

A Guide to Working with Storm Gods
Thor

Offerings: Hearty Foods and Stews, A Mjolnir Necklace, Acorns, Oak, Pine, Goat Meat, Rainwater, Rain scented candles, Garlic, Leeks, Onions, Mead and Beer
UPG: Thor is the ultimate hype man, and loves encouraging his followers. He’s also a massive flirt, and is surprisingly ticklish. His presence is strong and warm, and you can feel his love for you in everything you do.

Zeus
Culture: Greek
God/Goddess of: The Sky, Weather, Law, Order, Kingship, Hospitality, Father and King of the Gods
Offerings: Wine, Whiskey, Milk, Tea, Coffee, Bread, Red Meat, Scaled Fish, Fruit, Rain Water, Frankincense, Myrrh, Rain Scented Candles, Oak, Pine and Crowns
UPG: Zeus is a surprisingly kind and fatherly god. He cares deeply for his followers, though can act out at times when angered. I heard an account of a follower who was complaining about there being no rain, so he sent a thunderstorm that lasted so long they got 18 bottles of rainwater out of it. That being said, he is kind and will take care of his followers' needs.
~~~
Susanoo
Culture: Japanese
God/Goddess of: The Sea, Storms
Offerings: Rainwater, Chocolate, Crackers, Sea Salt, Noodles and Ramen, Rain scented Candles, Sea water, Fish and Sushi
UPG: Susanoo is a very active god, he’s easily angered and tempestuous. However, he is also very fun to be with. He has a regal presence befitting a god, but he is also disheveled and able to hang out with his followers freely. He is stubborn. As long as you avoid angering him, Susanoo makes good company for any weather or sea witch
~~~
Rhiannon
Culture: Welsh
God/Goddess of: Wind, The Moon, Horses, Songbirds, Gates, Horseshoes, Love, Happiness, Beauty and Prosperity
Offerings: Lavender, Soft-sounding Music, A White Candle with the Number 7 carved into it, Horseshoes, White Flowers, Apples, Working with Horses and Dogs, Practicing with Liminal Spaces and Meditation
UPG: She loves to hear her followers sing, and is a very kind and motherly presence. This is strange, but she has the exact same vibes as the song by Fleetwood Mac. Otherworldly, Witchy and Kind. Her sacred day is Monday, and her Sabbat is Beltane. Her feast is on March 1st.
~~~
Freyr
Culture: Norse
God/Goddess of: Rain, Sunshine, Fertility, Peace, Kingship, Virility, Harvest
Offerings: Honey, Grains, Gold, Antlers, Phallic Objects, Wheat Bread, Rich and Dark Beers, Pork, Apple, Barley, Nuts and Seeds, Coins, Rain Scented Candles, and Golden Objects
UPG: Freyr really lives up to his title as God of Sunshine. He’s a little bit of a worrywart with his followers, he really doesn’t want them to get hurt, bless his soul. He’s strongly associated with antlered animals, and is very affectionate and kind. Freyr is a very loving god.
~~~
Perun
Culture: Slavic
God/Goddess of: The Sky, Storms, Rain, Law, War, Fertility, Oak, Nobility and Warriors
Offerings: Meat, Ale, Mead, Golden Apples, Red and Gold Candles, Rain Scented Candles, Fowl meat (especially Rooster), Wooden Objects made of Oak, Rain Water, Arrows and Arrowheads
UPG: Perun is truly befitting the title of King. He has a very fatherly and stern presence, but never a hateful one. However, Perun does have a fierce rivalry with Veles, so it’s likely best not to mention the trickster god when communicating with him.
~~~
Horus
Culture: Egyptian
God/Goddess of: The Sky, Storms, Rulership, The Sun and War
Offerings: Fowl Meat, Brass or Gold Objects, White Feathers, Dark Ale, Water, Bread, Honey, Salt, Grains
~~~
Taranis

UPG: A jovial and stern god, Taranis is kind of hard to pin down. He cares for his followers deeply and will protect them with all he has, and is kind when bestowing gifts so long as an offering is returned afterwards.

Felt like painting this little bastard. I’ve been drawing him each winter for five years now and it’s fun to see how he changes with me. I’m so elated about the progress I’m making! This is probably the last thing I will paint in 2018. Here’s to 2019 :)

When I say “Oh My Gods” it’s not like I’m ‘taking their names in vain’ or some Catholic shit like that. It’s more like, “Yo Lokes, Freyacakes, look at this dank meme I just found.”

Just Witchy Things
-Forgetting to blow out your candles when you leave the house.
-Meeting a cute guy and then finding out he’s a witch too.
-Wanting to hunt for flowers and herbs but being too afraid that you might accidentally kill yourself.
-Getting excited when you see rocks in the dollar store.
-People asking if your bag is full of rocks. Yes, yes it is.
-Being frustrated when nobody understands your deities.
-Falling asleep to The Craft every night.
-Being too busy to hang out because you have to cleanse your stuff.
-Getting excited when it rains because you get to collect rain water.
-When your parents ask why you have so many candles and your excuse makes no sense.
I hope you guys got some entertainment out of this! If you want more, please request. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to ask. In the meantime, have fun and happy bewitching!
