Terrestrial Landing by Richelle Forsey
Montreal Magazine, Vie Des Arts has written a lovely article about Galerie Youn and the inaugural exhibition Paysages affectifs!
"Le choix de s’installer sur le boulevard Saint-Laurent pourrait surprendre, alors que tout autour de nombreux commerces ferment. Pourtant, au cœur du Mile-End et proche des ateliers d’artistes de la rue De Gaspé, cet emplacement satisfait parfaitement son propriétaire qui y voit « un terreau de l’art contemporain local »." Assembled, examined and discovered Paysages affectifs: emotional landscapes visits Paris, Tokyo, Rome, Toronto, Detroit and cities of the imagination through manufactured, fabricated and documented panoramas of infamous and unfamiliar panoramas from around the world.
Devastated rustic beauty versus architectural structures, deserted interiors and conspicuous details brings us poetic, ethereal ghostly aesthetics and strange comforts through a sense of place that we understand through our interactions with the landscapes.
International and national photographers Jonathan Castellino, Richelle Forsey, Dieter Janssen, Yuriko's Kubato, Lori Nix and Jonathan Savoie examine time and beauty in what they observe or envision around them.

Galerie Youn
Coming soon to the trendy Mile End neighborhood of Montréal: Galerie Youn! A short walk from the Laurier Metro Stn, across the street from Lawrence and steps from café sardine, neighbors with the famous Fairmount Bagels and Ubioft is where you will find Galerie Youn.
Head Rooster, Juno Youn visited this space years ago and thought it would be the perfect location to open a gallery. And after 7 years (2000-2007) of co-directing and curating Spin Gallery in Toronto, Ontario and a few more following, jet-setting about the world to look and learn about contemporary art in China/New York/Miami/France & Korea Youn has decided on Montréal as the place make his gallery dream come true.
Galerie Youn will focus on Canadian and international contemporary art with a project room to feature the various talents of Flying Rooster Contemporary Art (www.fr-cp.com).
We’ll be posting weekly developments of the renovation and previews of future exhibiting artists at Galerie Youn.
