Do you have any examples of non-past life related spiritual origins for kintypes? I have this one kintype that I discovered recently but it doesn't really feel like a past-life but it doesn't feel like a psychological kintype either.

Sure, off the top of my head:

Misplaced soul: believing that you "should" have been born as your kintype but through some accident of fate were born human instead

Walk-ins: believing that the body's original owner "left," most often in a near-death experience and often very early in life, and you stepped in or got pulled in to replace them despite not being human yourself

Energetic resonance*: believing that your soul/aura/etc. resonates with your kintype's - that they "vibrate at the same frequency," either metaphorically or literally

Archetypal*: believing that your kintype comes from the archetype of a thing, rather than from being any specific example of this thing - I'm struggling to summarize this in one line, better explanation here

Believing that you're blessed or inhabited by the spirit of your kintype, which made you into one of them

*may or may not actually be considered "spiritual" by the person in question; could be considered "spiritual" in some cases

Also have a list of beliefs/theories on the origins of otherkinity, many of which fit into neither the "spiritual" nor "psychological" category, courtesy of @/aestherians.

I'd also like to say that you don't need to have an explanation for why you're otherkin. You're allowed to just be otherkin, and neither know nor care about the "why".

Florescet

Florescet is a type of multiflux and mostly based on biogenders (plantgenders, gendergarden, etc) but anyone can use it.

Florescent is when the genders that you encompass with feels like one or some are blooming, meanwhile others are fading. It can flourish and fade anytime, a bloom gender can fade eventually and a wither one can also flourish.

Etymology

Florescent is a combi between the latin words flourish, florere (flo) and wither, arescet (rescet).

Shoutout to closeted systems!

Whether online or in person, sometimes systems have to keep their plurality a secret in order to keep themselves safe. This post is for those systems!

Shoutout to systems who are out online, but not in real life, or who are out in real life, but not in person!

Shoutout to closeted systems who have to constantly mask!

Shoutout to closeted systems who are only out about their system to one or two people!

Shoutout to closeted systems who have to keep their system a secret in order to keep themselves safe!

Shoutout to systems who had come out in the past, but for any reason had to go back into the closet!

Shoutout to headmates who work hard to keep their system stealthy, discreet, and under the radar!

Shoutout to systems who struggle with denial or fear of faking because they can’t safely be out as a system!

Shoutout to systems who feel bad because others around them can be open about plurality, but they themselves have to stay closeted!

Being in the closet doesn’t mean you’re not plural or not a system! Closeted systems are just as valid as any other system, and you are still a vital and important member of the plural community! Whether you have to keep your plurality a secret from just a few people in your life or everyone around you, we want you to know that you’re not alone, we see you, and we’re rooting for you!

Regardless of why your system has to remain closeted, please know that your plurality is real, and your life and the lives of your headmates have value! We’re wishing for each of you a future where you can be yourselves and take pride in your plurality! Until then, though, please take care of each other and treat yourselves with kindness!

the existence of endogenic systems really helps me accept being a traumagenic (and endogenic) system. i'll be picking myself apart going is this real? is this possible? does this really happen with [diagnosis]?

and then i remember endogenic systems exist and im like. who cares actually. there isn't one way to be plural and there never was. why judge ourselves based on the psych system. our experiences are real just by experiencing them.
