I would honestly rather not bring up any of the things that I have suddenly felt land in my consciousness, but also, I would much rather think through it to make sense in advance before anything actually happens, so:

1.) The default option. What “the default option” refers to I am unsure - to the best of my knowledge, that could range from any single plant in this place to even whatever 🌺 is. Assume this as the safe option to happen for everyone except for me (a common trait that would be the case for a question specifically asking how I’m “gonna die today.”)

2.) While not completely sure if this is better or worse - once again, for me that is - experiments… let’s avoid this one please as I have enough going on in my mind and existence as it currently is. Once is far too much, and twice? I wouldn’t even like to imagine that in theory.

3.) Why is “apparently not soup” on this list…? Is this a common enough occurrence that it has to be stated as an option that won’t happen to me? No further comments on this one, primarily because I’m not even sure how to comment on it.

4.) Much like the prior item on this list in terms of asking why it is here, but honestly, the much more reasonable alternative - which I hate to say - “it depends on which version.” One has a mention of things such as bedwars while another varies to… let’s just refer back to answer number one for the second half of this ranged comparison.

5.) This list could horrifically keep going, and the first option alone is enough for one to handle for more than a lifetime based on my personal experience. I’ll leave you to infer or apparently add to the rest of this list as you desire for now.

Name: Lunesta

Name Meaning: Lunesta (Medication used to treat insomnia)

Typically Located: Sunrooms or Solariums are the best way to explain the locations of these plants. These are better known for being calmer rest areas compared to the rest of this place, just because something is calm and safer does not mean your guard should be lowered.

Basic Information: While being made out of greenery and a combination of familiar plants from a life before this place, these plants take on the form of a bed or other place of rest and comfort rather than the norm. Furthermore, these forms typically appear reminiscent of what they’re mimicking - just… unnervingly so to those from my childhood memories.

Function/Effect: I know it isn’t possible for it to be “night” here, but maybe the combination of a rest area and memories of a calmer past are starting to get to me�� a little rest after going without any for so long wouldn’t be too bad, right…? While not completely certain of the functions or effects that this plant has, it seems to have something to do with sleep or rest. Along with this, it also seems to have some form of knowledge of an observer’s memories - specifically those of childhood or comfort. Best current hypothesis is that it results in whoever rests on it being rendered incapacitated - unsure of the method it uses to achieve this besides luring the observer with promises and the appearance of comfort and safety.

Advice: While not completely sure about what these plants do, the best advice to be given is the default: Do not touch or approach the plant in any way. The best attempt for advice is to specifically avoid resting near or on any location the plant is located. Along with this, pay no attention to the memories it tries to bring to mind - that’s not your present, don’t let your guard down until outside of this place.

Overall/Summary: Lunestas are plants that appear to replicate comforting places of rest from childhood memories - typically a bed. While the exact effects are unknown, it is assumed that they lure an observer over with the promise of comfort and safety from their past, and attempts to get the observer to rest there and become incapacitated in the process. The best case is to avoid approaching or resting near these plants for now until further information is determined.

Well, I didn’t lie, but this one I’m personally writing because, let’s be honest, if you didn’t remember the humor behind “being grounded” with the “Veins” as you’ve called them, you definitely won’t remember much about these. It’s not like it’ll help you understand anything about preventing or noticing them anyways, just increase your paranoia of them being nearby, or already with you. Preferably, that is!

Also, using templates? No, I don’t think so. Not for your recording use anyway - enjoy trying to find and understand this your next go around, I could’ve done much worse!

Welcome to the Veins part 2, Synergic Variety! Though they do love to take it much more seriously in your “name definitions” than the last ones I guess - good for them, it’s fun to watch it all happen.

Anyways, Synergics love to sneak up on you - just out of sight but always in a spot that lets them inside real easy; spots along your backside that you can’t check as easily, like the neck and actual back - I guess they do sometimes go for your ankles and legs too, since, you know, ground proximity and all that. Sorry, wait. What I actually meant to say was that they do that because, as you know, “grounding” is a very important thing to do here, isn’t that right? Now then, that sneaking isn’t all they do! Once they find a way in, you can guarantee that any source or droplet of blood within you isn’t going to belong to you anymore. They’ll start to grow all along those sources, you know, along your “veins” and begin to grow through you just like them - taking that blood for themselves instead of transferring it back to you.

Oh! Let’s not forget that they know the best way to get the most out of you. Not sure if you’d rather be healthy or close to death when they get there. I mean, we know how it’s going to end up either way, but the synergics like to keep a fresh supply of blood as long as they can before leaving you completely for dead. “This isn’t fair though!” “Why is this allowed to happen?” “Why do this?” And to whatever else you’d want to - or probably would - say, it is fair considering that they don’t owe you any favors, honestly. You’re the outsider here to them, not the other way around. They still try to play it fair with you, though, despite that. Sure, that fairness is going to leave you dizzy, weak, tired, other things you experience, and all that at first, but! They make sure to pay you back properly for that blood of your’s, they typically numb and sedate you a bit, so, you don’t even notice a thing!

Anyways, once you’re no longer useful for that supply, normally they either finish taking what’s left, or take back their favor since you did the same with your’s. Have to remember another fun part of this, though. If they can find a way to make those organs work better than you can, they’ve already grown around your veins, heart, and everything else inside of that fragile husk of your’s - they’ll add it to their own “body” and keep it running until their next supply arrives! Pretty self-sufficient plants in the end, aren’t they? - 🌺

Okay… I wasn’t completely expecting to find an entire page written by 🌺, and it went about as well as I anticipated when first noticing that symbol and the coloring of the text. I’m not exactly enjoying this information, but it is better to have whatever type of explanation… this… is compared to having none at all - and I certainly don’t want to determine for myself the accuracy of it, so I guess I have no choice but to trust this.

Along with this, while I’ve been trying to avoid responding to any of the, well, what I guess you would call taunts, I have a reply to one part specifically for this one. “You’re the outsider here to them, not the other way around,” it’s not like I’m actively attempting to intrude here, in fact, I’m trying to do the complete opposite of that exact thing and leave this area. Plus, in that same situation, what does that make you here? Being able to stay around and comment on everything that had been in this book with such… “intrigue,” without any worries of the environment and what it seems to do.

The overlap of what sounds like an address towards a past, present, and future version of what I’m guessing is myself, is… also beginning to throw off my own words in response - though, I guess this is the first response I’ve made that wasn’t a direct transfer from that book, isn’t it?

Name: Veins

Name Meaning: Veins (Blood vessel; Connects organs and parts of the body to each other) (Secondary: An anagram of “vines”)

Typically Located: Any heavily or frequently travelled path tends to be the norm - strangely, not all of them grow Veins despite this.

Basic Information: Similar in nature and appearance to normal vines - the key difference is that these grow in a way that spreads across the rooms further than typical vines would be able to do, along with some of these plants having a slightly off color compared to others of the same variety. While plants are organic matter to begin with, some of these vines don’t feel quite… right. They feel like some other type of organic matter was mixed into them as well.

Function/Effect: Another similarity to normal vines, Veins seem to find ways to reach the available sunlight/light the rooms provide, however, these seem to distribute the energy to other plants that lack the same source. They also seem capable of tracking certain parts of the rooms if handled correctly - consider taking a loose piece for a custom compass if grounding or locating is needed.

Advice: Try to avoid contact and proximity with Veins as a precaution - much like any other plant in the area. Beyond that, these plants don’t seem to offer much harm or warrant any paranoia besides the off feeling that the organic matter some of them are made out of gives. Attempt to use a small piece for a compass.

Overall/Summary: Veins are similar to vines in nature, the main difference between a regular vine and Veins, however, seems to be the way that the “Veins” connect to the rest of the rooms and plants in this area - much like actual veins to organs. They do not seem to cause any actual threat of harm to the observer, however, something about some of the materials in varieties of Veins feel… off. Try to pay no attention to that for now. Try to make the most out of what won’t kill you here - make a compass out of a loose piece of Vein to make navigating a little bit easier with something that can navigate in a place lacking direction - and/or possibly logic.

Name: Langston Tree

Name Meaning: Langston (Tall Man’s Town; Although more physically higher up than “tall”)

Typically Located: Central area of larger greenhouses/sunrooms, which are spread without a pattern in the rooms.

Basic Information: Similar in appearance to a combination of a Weeping Willow + Cherry Blossom Tree. While appearing like a normal tree during the “day,” at “night,” some of the flowers begin to emit a faint light. During this time, the branches appear very warped and unnatural - do not assume it’s solely a trick of the lighting.

Function/Effect: When one walks under the Langston tree at “night”, the typical outcome results in the passerby being “caught” by the tree. It does this by wrapping around the victim, pulling them into the upper branches of the tree away from the ground, and then surrounding them with vines/branches/flowers in order to prevent a chance of escape or something else reaching them instead. After being caught, several different things can happen: suffocation from the lack of ground and being completely wound up in vines/flowers/branches, absorption of the victim in order for the tree to obtain nutrients, bargaining the victim to other things in order to keep itself in better conditions, and finally, the situation of waiting for any of the above to happen, only for the person to slowly fall victim to natural causes due to the prolonged time spent waiting. If absorbed or falling victim to the tree itself, the secret of the flowers emitting a faint light becomes obvious - it’s the reminder of a past “life/memory” that had been lost and used for the Langston in the literal way that people refer to as “the light of life.” There is a reason that the Langston Tree is named the way it is, “Tall Man’s Town,” the height of the tree combined with all the “lives/memories” residing there like a town.

Advice: Do not approach and especially do not go under a Langston during the “night” hours - even better would be to avoid it at all times. If caught, the best options here would be: hope for the Langston to bargain you to something easier to escape from, or, hope you have a sharp object on you to cut through the organic materials wrapped around you. Hopefully with the second option being close enough to the ground that the landing is safe/secure enough to let you keep going afterwards.

Overall/Summary: Langston Trees appear to be a cross between Weeping Willow and Cherry Blossom trees in appearance, despite this, it uses its similarity of lower branches and vines - from the Weeping Willows - to capture, contain, and utilize its victim in whatever way it determines best. If caught, there is a chance for an escape to occur with either certain tools being in your possession or a trade being made, however, despite this, luck is still the best chance of escape. Hope you enjoy and can handle heights if your luck is poor but resources are high - or that you can at least get a quick outcome by the end of it all.

3/10 Death to be honest. I mean, it’s good and all, but it also isn’t - the entire main event is blocked by it completely covering everything with vines and flowers. It will make a bargain with me though! Final score after the bargaining? 5/10. - 🌺

Name: Essenture

Name Meaning: Essential (Absolutely Necessary; Perhaps in the way of cycling through life with death) + Pasture (Location associated with grass)

Typically Located: Areas with plenty of other plant-life; also located along well travelled areas that suddenly appear to have never been ventured into.

Basic Information: Similar to normal grass in appearance and amount, however, it is capable of enhanced growth in order to wrap around and capture a victim - typically done by wrapping around a passerby’s ankle and tripping them into more. This is so that it can take better effect through more area of direct contact, resulting in higher success rates of capture.

Function/Effect: Once the grass makes direct contact with skin, it causes an immediate growth of the surrounding plants onto the area of contact and continues to spread beyond that. With higher area of contact and faster rates of spreading as a result, often, no time for a reaction is possible for an attempt at removing the area of contact. Once connected, the roots are hard to remove, and trying to leave will just increase the speed of it - possibly the better option if there are no others available.

Advice: Cover as much as possible - gloves for example help if tripped to prevent contact upon catching oneself. If caught, be prepared to either react quickly by handling the area of contact or accept the situation.

Overall/Summary: Essenture is similar to grass in appearance/amount, however, upon contact it will attempt to trip and/or “absorb” the victim in an effort to nourish the surrounding plant-life. Once caught, escape rates are low - make sure to have quick reaction times, coverage, and the ability/mindset to sacrifice to escape if necessary - otherwise, hope you enjoy the nearby plant-life, since it will soon be just as much a part of you as you will be it.

After finding a room to sit down in, I’ve been looking through the book - it primarily consists of the different types of plant life here, what they do, how they act, and the strangest part of the plant descriptions: defensive and hunting mechanisms.

Yes, I’ll be adding some of these pages onto here as I review them. I am not going to risk losing this book and it’s information, true or not - and even if I do lose it because of circumstances, hopefully, I’ll have enough pages copied here to serve as a reminder for when I need it.

It may take me a little bit to get the information onto here, I want to test if a… friendlier… plant’s information is accurate first. If it is, I’ll begin copying information in a text format - I don’t think handwriting is a luxury I want to try affording here. I’ll attach the sketches from the book as images here as well; they show how the plants would roughly look if I were to see them around… here.

This isn’t an important update, but I felt like it wouldn’t hurt to mention for the sake of the record that each room connected here seems to be a unique type of greenhouse or sunroom? Some have furniture, some don’t - some have one type of flower, while others have a wide variety of everything - they’re all unique in some type of way. Though, they also all look the same as well, so, not unique in that way? It’s… difficult to explain, but each is different in some way, but you have to pay close attention in order to notice it?

There may be some rooms that are more unique than this, but the only ones I’ve come across so far have been relatively similar… I may sit in one of the rooms soon to look through the book I found some more - it may have some decent information in it that I haven’t looked into yet.

Okay, okay… so let’s start from the beginning - at least to get what happened written somewhere for myself. First, I went out to buy some new plants… as I was walking around, there were less and less people in the store until, eventually, I was the only person left in eyesight. Trying to leave didn’t work, the rooms were looping to such an extent that it - this place - shouldn’t be able to be this large. This can’t be where I started out, but where else could I possibly be?

Second, I found this device was working. This seemed like a good way to keep what’s happening in order. It had a book beside it as well with some information on this place that I’ve been looking through - I’ll add some more to it if I figure anything out.

Third, well, I may be trying to organize my thoughts right now, but this isn’t normal. I’ll keep looking for the exit or see if I can wake up or something until I can get there. For now, I guess this is a good start, though…
