The Rise of Kyoshi has had fans buzzing since it’s release, and nothing has drawn our attention more than our antagonist - Jianzhu. Today, I delve deep into his character and why he is in fact - the greatest villain in Avatar. Let me explain.

An attempted kidnapping, emphasis of the kid, is half why Korra was taken to the White Lotus camp. But why did the Red Lotus attempt to take Korra at a young age? She had no ability to control the Avatar state for them to kill her in, if they could even kill a child. So, what were their plans? Let’s explore.

As the final Trials of Apollo series book rolls in, Apollo will have a decision to make. Or at least, a decision, I believe he should make: return to Olympus or stay mortal. For me, the latter is the most realistic and obvious an answer, many won’t agree, but just wait and let me explain.

The portrayals of the Gods in the Riordianverse has never been, shall we say, flattering. However, none have received worse a portrayal than that of the Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite, who became a caricature of a Goddess who could have had true potential of usefulness in the story. So today, I explore this decision, and what could have been done instead.

The Illustrated Guide is what we will be using for our chapter-by-chapter study of The Lightning Thief.
