Less then a month...

We are less then a month away from being done with this contract. So insane. 29 days to be exact. We have an exciting itinerary planned for next week which entails TWO OVERNIGHT locations! This month is gonna fly by SO FAST. 

Then, If all goes as planned, I get to explore London for like 8-9 days! How exciting. I’ve never been so theres so much to see and do! Tea with the queen perhaps? 

ANYWAYS!!!! 

BIG BROTHER! 

Okay. I have to say that im HAPPY that Jessica decided to use her halting hex and save both her and Cody, however...Josh wins HOH?! Can the universe by any more horrible to us BB fans?! It was a collective gut sinking feeling after seeing him win HoH. Dont worry Jessica and Cody, we are right there with you. 

How do I feel about almost the WHOLE HOUSE collectively ganging up on Jessica and Cody? I didn’t like it. Luckily, they are able to handle themselves but is that amount of money worth your sanity? Cody is right. Paul has a PACK of groupies right behind him letting him steal the big prize. Are they REALLY that dumb? Are they really gonna follow him right to the end with him winning the big prize? I just dont understand their logic. He got to the final two for a reason last season. Are you going to let him get there again....ANYWAYS! I think the whole thing was idiotic. I understand Jessica was mad but it could of been avoided, thats for sure. However, it didn’t need to go that far. 

If I were Jessica or Cody, i’d be trying to throw Mark and Elena under the bus. Get one of them out before me. THEY are the flip floppers. They keep going in between the powers to keep themselves safe. Do you really want that in the house? That kind of narrative would be happening with Josh and Paul. Id be claiming my target is already huge, you have a whole posse ready to get me out...get one of them out while you can! 

This season has been full of surprises. I wish Jessica didnt have to use her halting hex but Paul really thought he was the master last week and his HoH went to SHIT! Which made me giggle. I don’t like him. Never have, never will. He really is a snake. My girl Dom had it correct. Cody knew it from the beginning. Ugh. 

GAME OF THRONES!

I MEAAAAANNN....I can’t handle my heart. Cersei giving the long farewell to Tyene, pretty much forcing Ellaria to watch her die. 

JON SNOW AND DAENERYS MEETING?! Ahhhhh. 

The reuniting of Sansa and Bran! He’s a stranger now that hes the three eyed raven. 

Then Cersei and her armies completely fucking over EVERYONE! Tyrell is no more. Olenna Tyrell, that last scene is epic. “Tell Cersei, I just wanted her to know it was me” I MEAAAAAN WHAT?! SAAAAAVAGE! All this time, they thought it was their brother and she just completely mic dropped on their ass before she died. Shes HELLA gangsta! I cant. 

This season is gonna be insane. I dont know if I can take it lol.

Hola!

Tumblr!!!! It’s been a VERY LONG TIME!! 

I figured since i’ve been doing a lot of traveling and will continue to do a bit of traveling. Tumblr can be fun! Also, I watch A LOT of tv! So I can rant and rave about some of my fav tv shows and yeah! 

I’m currently working on Holland America cruiselines, aboard the ms Koningsdam. It’s a beautiful ship. Built last year in 2016, so it’s the newest in their fleet. It’s my first cruise ship contract. I’ve gotten to visit a lot of places I thought i’d never get to visit. It’s amazing how this job that I’m doing takes me all over the world. Literally, so lucky, honored and blessed to be performing. 

So yeah! This is just a general post. Here in Alesund, Norway, chilling in a coffee shop and only have about 5 weeks left of this contract. 31 days to be exact. So insane! We have a month left. Been on the ship since March. Started rehearsals on January 17th. It’s been a long journey. But i’ve learned a lot about myself, about others, how to react in different situations and i’ve grown more as a performer and as an artist. 

We will be visiting Scotland and Iceland next week and im literally stoked! It’s gonna be a blast. PARTY TIME!!!!! 

Anyways! Im gonna keep this updated cause its gives me something else to do while in port! hahaha.

Tokyo. Day 5.

So.

Im here in Tokyo, Japan.....well more like Urayasu (about half an hour away from Tokyo I believe. Have been through all my orientation stuff for Disney, gotten everything taken care of as far as bank cards, alien registration, money, started to make my room a little more homey, GOT INTERNET, and I am getting more and more comfortable every single day. 

I love my cast, im surrounded by such great people and can see a fun 8 months ahead of me with them. All very much so loveable. So excited to see whats coming. Seriously.

TODAY!!!!!! We all went into Harajuku! AMAAAAAZING! The fashion there is crazy and so fun! So many shopping places, so much clothes, just.......ahhhh I was so overwhelmed. I really didnt get a chance to see MUCH of harajuku cause we were in such a big group. But im going back tommorow.

My camera was dead so I wasnt able to capture any video! So when I get my haircut tommorow at Tony&Guy ill be taking some video!

Harajuku is any fashion persons dream! seirously! lol. 

Anyways. Im about to head to a party with my castmates. We were going to go out but we spent literally all day there in harajuku. sooo yey!!!!

Been a second..

Well it's been a second.

lol.

BUT!

LA PRIDE was amazing.

i've made AMAZING new friends.

i booked a paris by night job in vegas - their 100th show. :) so excited.

anddddd I leave NEXT MONTH at the end of july for TOKYO for Tokyo Disney! I'm just happy with life...its REALLY HARD right now, because, im BROKE AS A JOKE but God is good with the people he gives to me.

ill be back at this more often though.

Hold up...

My thought for the night...

When you have somebody in town...and they want to visit another friend while their here..cool, thats fine, completely fine.

But to ask somebody to stay up for you....so you can let them into the apartment, and you told them you dont want to go hang out with who their hanging out with cause you dont get along with them...

and winds up to be 4 am and their still not back to your apartment.

thats just rude and disrespectful as a guest. i know we're cool and close and everything..but really? just stay the night at the place your going to hang out with. its not fair to ask somebody to stay up like that. 

just a thought for the night.

Featured Character...NOPE, NOT REALLY!

So.

Remember the last post...I said I was "Hero" for this cartoon network commercial, which is like, LEAD/FEATURED role...right???

Alright. Here's how it goes.

My calltime is 8:15 AM. I think im going in early as hell cause im "hero" and im priority. Which when I got in there, I was...I was sitting down in the chair...I had to get my haircut, my eyebrows trimmed, everything. Because the camera was going to be close up on my face and they needed me to look fresh and clean. So im getting my haircut, then production people come in with this blonde boy...name is Ross. Their like "we need to get Ross in here as soon as possible, he's priority."...So im like...what the hell does that mean??? As soon as we get on set..they needed me up there...

So I go up there....then their like...actually, we dont need you right now. Go take a break. So that blonde boy up there, on the right...they ask him to come up. Ross. COME TO FIND OUTTTTTTT.....Ross is now "hero" and im just "guy/dancer." They changed me for someone younger, cause they needed "younger" to play hero. :( Kinda sad. It was an easy day. I was making the same as everybody else so I tried to remember that, plus the opportunity was amazing. Just kinda sucks cause they were like "yeah, your hero, featured guy...we need you to look the best." Then...they dangle it in front of me, and SNATCH it away from me and give it to someone else. Like seriously, my face was going to be HELLLA FEATURED in this commercial. So its kinda sad...my shots that I do get with my face, is either out of focus (in focus on the blonde boy) or quick action shots of me dancing...:(( THATS HOLLYWOOD FOR YOU!!!

My outfits were bomb though. That yellow watch...I took from wardrobe. THIS FREAKING production team cut my hair for NOTHING! I took a watch for compensation!! hahaha. Im so bad. so so so bad. I love MSA for being great though! My commercial agent was like "bastards..im gonna try and get your more money."

Anyways.

So BESIDES THAT DRAMA, the shoot was fun! Had a great time meeting new people, and my first time on set as a real dancer...I guess lol. But im blessed for the opportunity and so glad I got to experience. I need to get my ego out of the way and not worry about what "role" I have. It sucked having something dangled then taken but, it is what it is and its life, atleast I got the chance and the opportunity to shoot for them.  DONT GET ME WRONG, Im HELLA GLAD I GOT to do this and booked it! Im hella blessed. Seriously. Just that little situation set me back. I had fun though. :)))) Yey Cartoon Network. And sorry I stole your watch. lol.

Audition..Fitting..Audition..Rehearsal..zzzzz

Today.

was.

so.

crazy.

lol. I woke up at like 8:45 -- 45 minutes before my WEST SIDE STORY audition was gonna start. AHHHH. Threw on some clothes, straightened my hair, called a cab and got there with like 10 minutes to spare. Halleluiah for the GHETTO cab (the mexicans who drive their own car lol). 

I was originally suppose to audition for the SHARKS, but I had a fitting at 1:45 - the audition lasts for a good 2 hours...9:30-11:30 (Jets)...and the Shark call started at 11:30...that would go too 1:30..and I would never make it to my fitting on time. So did the combo..very technical..I LOVE WEST SIDE STORY by the way. Favorite musical....auditioned in groups of five, got stuck in the backline...didnt they think they saw me..they made a cut, and to my surprise, I got kept...woo woo.

BUT THEN.....DUN DUN DUN.....SINGING TIME.

I was second to last...and ladies and gentleman, I sung "I want it that way" - backstreet boys...HAHAHAHAHAHA. Love it right?!!

Went in there...the accompaniest started playing...I fucked up, sounded horrible..and was like "wait wait wait, lets start over." And the choreographer was like "just breathe, relax, breathe from your belly button, deep into your diaphram." So we started again...got through the beginning...and got to "tell me why" and he did something weird with the piano and it threw me off...so i stopped again...the piano stopped...then i started accapella then the piano caught up with me...then the choreographer was like

Choreograher: Wait...wait...wait...Francisco do you have anybody you love in your life?

Me: Yeh..

Choreographer: Well...SING to them!!! TELL THEM WHY you love them...or whhy YOU DONT love them...or wHYYYY SHOULD THEY LOVE YOU???

So i started "tell me why...aint nothing but a heartache.." bla bla bla all over again...sounded good, right?

Choreographer: Now do it all again..just like that..perform. thats what acting is. Acting is life. Just perform. Just like that.

So I did it again...I was singing..and they were talking to each other..was kinda makin me nervous. But I got alllllll the way through, no mess-ups.

Casting Director: You have a really good voice, you do sound good....your really talented.

Me: Thank you.

Choreographer: Yeah, very talented. You just have to let your insecurities go.

Me: Yeah... I know. 

Choreographer: So...whats going in your life?

Me: Well...do you know Napolean and Tabitha? Yeah...working down the street at their clothing store. Trying to make money, auditioning...ya know..trying to make it happen.

Sooo yeah...we said our thank yous...and yadda yadda...anddd

Choreographer: Do you speak spanish?

Me: No...I wish....Well like, my dad spoke it around me...but he never really taught it to me...and I was stubborn to learn it. But I understand conversations, and can speak it with the dialect and sound like im speaking spanish..but I cant have a conversation...

soo..yeah..then I left the room. iM HOPING that "so whats going on in your life" means...so if you booked the national tour or the broadway show..you'd have no problem moving to new york??? lol Positive outlook!!!!

FROM THERE...went home, grabbed my wardrobe stuff for Cartoon Network for my wardrobe fitting, got there. FOUND OUT that im the featured/lead...my character is called "hero" well, im a "Hero" or something of the sort...so excited for that!!! wardrobe went really nice. loved it. felt super comfortable.

From there..came home...eat...then went to an audition for Disney. Got there and im seriously surrounded by the lil ones on TV, that you see bouncing around. 13, 14,15,16 year olds..and I here I am..20 years old lol. I get put into a group with this 14 year old girl and this 16 year old boy...the casting lady takes out side and explains the set up and says we have to choreograph a little sumthing sumthing, so im like

Me: We all get one eight count..make it a three eight count dance...???

We agree its a good idea. So then their like "whos oldest?" im like..oh great. I already know thats me lol. So I had to start. then we made a cute little combo, learned a couple lines, went in, filmed...and thats it. lol...

I came home. seriously kNOCKED OUT. woke up. went to rehearsal for this barmitzvah im doing with Brooklyn Jai. Here I am. WRITING THIS LONG ASS BLOG...and I have to be on set at 8:15. ugh. SHOWER AND BED TIME!!!

KEEP YOUR DREAMS ALIVE!!!!!!! KEEP GOING REGARDLESS OF SET BACKS AND DOWNFALLS...WE CAN KEEP GOING AND ACHIEVE!!!!

CARTOON NETWORRRRK!!!

Where..did we leave off?? haha

My world has been HECTIC! lol.

I'll go from the most recent YEY in my life! I auditioned for a Cartoon Network spot/commercial type deal on the 28th of April...was interesting. Four of us had to stand in a line and pretend we were looking into a window, pretend we were seeing the Cartoon Network black and white tiles were coming to life. Then we had to dance, freestyle. lol. LIVING!!!! Felt good but who knew..ya know?

Got an email...CALLBACK :) Went in on the 30th. There was more people in the room this time..did the same thing..except they showed us what we would potentially be looking at if it were real...did that..got a couple "good francisco..i liked that" so i was like..ok..ok..keep doin that!! haha. They mentioned they would be booking that night.

I BBMED my commercial agent JC over at MSA, and was like "any news?". He responded..."Call me." SOOO....I did....he said "are you free monday and tuesday..." - Me: "Yes..." - JC: "Well good, your booked!" WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

YEY! That lifted my spirits. God is good. So good. You may not get everything you want, but he knows where to pop in :) Feel so blessed to have booked that.

Just keep trying everybody...who knows..I may not book anything for awhile after this...but I feel blessed I get this opportunity to do this...shoot w/some amazing dancers and a production team..get to experienced a set. 

But positive PROJECTING! Success for the future :)

NICKELODEAN BASKETBALL SET-UP!!

"You must NEVER walk away...quitting is for losers...stick around and try, and you'll get the best out of it that you want out of it"

Sooo that was my motto for today..because...I almost WENT DOWN IN FLAMMMMMESSSSS lol. There was a small casting today for a television show...which involved choreography with basketballs...and when I say, that i've never really handled a basketball other then the few times my teammates in GYM CLASS passed me the ball (WHICH I MENTIONED...was a few times lol). I MEAN, dont get me wrong, I know how to shoot a ball, dribble it, pass it, my aim is good and I can shoot hoops...I just dont know how to handle it in order to do all those tricks...yeh...we were learning and my ball was fLYING EVERWHERE on set. Sabotage to the other dancers...IM SORRY!!! lol

I was ready to leave honestly.

Ready to peace out.

But I had to remember...I was HAND PICKED by the choreographer to come in for this casting..so I didnt wanna leave and be like "uh uh, this aint for me" even though I wanted too..cause that would of looked bad on me. So I stayed and tried to make it through the best way I can. Some of the things I simplified so my ball wouldnt fly out of my hands..which ya know, is better then looking sloppy! lol

So I went in my group...did okay!!! BUT then we had to freestyle YES DRIBBLING, TRICKS and everything, with the basketball..I said out loud to the producers, directors, choreographers bla bla bla..i was like "ya'll got the basketball king right here" they laughed...whether it was with me or at me, I dont care, I still got a laugh which made it less awkward for me.

SO, all in all, just remember..never give up, even if looking a fool is on the line. You never know who is watching you..if they see your trying your hardest, they'll remember that...DONT WALK OUT ON CHALLENGES!!! THATS WHY THEIR PRESENTED.

Forever 21 HELL!!!

Let me just say that..i've been working in retail since the age of 17 YEARS OLD and have I NEVER EVER been so frustrated, anxious, heated, upset, angry all at once!! I was literally going to have an anxiety attack in this place. Who knew that Forever 21 could be so busy....OH YEAH, we all knew..you work at Hollywood and Highland GENIUS francisco!

When you shop people...PUT STUFF back on hangers, put its back in its appropriate place, DONT BE MESSY!!! When you go into the fitting room, put things back on hangers, it makes life so much simpler!

Literally, there was atleast 10 woman who would bring in over 15 items...then take nothing ,go back into the store, then come back to the fitting rooms!!!! WHAT?!! really?? Three spanish woman tried on over 70 items alone!!! This chinese woman tried on over atleast 30 items...took ONE JACKET. the spanish woman took atleast 70% of what they were trying on and bought that stuff. 

The fitting room at the end of the night....so stressful. We had three go back racks FULL of clothing, we didnt put any of it back. 

Not to mention, I started off my day in Greeter and Zone 1...there was so many people I was gonna break down because all those people made me nervous and anxious. The store was such a mess I wanted to cry. I dont know why I was so stressed but a mess scares me sometime. I was shaking. So they switched me to fitting room..

Closing the store was a mess too..we only had 50 minutes...what?!! to close down a nightmare of a retail store? Yeah...

So im scheduled to work 10-4 tommorow..im not going in. Im quitting. I cant take it. I'm already working at Nappytabs, THATS ENOUGH for me! :) 

MY REHEARSAL for my piece went really well today though...thats a positive :)

Well..tommorow's going to be a better day. I promise myself that.

Wow...thats how I start this off.

So, I told myself I wasnt going to get Tumblr.

Here I am. haha. I figured it'd be a perfect way to keep people updated with whats going on in my little world and a perfect way for me to write about whats going on in my head and maybe release a little tension in my brain. 

So this is my first post, WOW! thats how I start this off. I'm Francisco Thurston, 20...soon to be 21 (you guys, June 29th is around the corner and my 21st b-day is going to be a shit show, no joke. I want to be so drunk I dont remember what happened). I live in LA..NO, not born and raised here. Born in New York, raised in Michigan...so yes, Michigan is my stomping grounds, family currently living in West Bloomfield, suburbia has been my life pretty much.

I am a professional dancer here in LA, living....trying to live my dream! :) It's not the easiest thing, but you live and you learn everyday..Rihanna has it said best on her body: "Never a lesson, always a failure." I take everyday as its own, and try to make the best of it. Times can get really rough, times can be amazing..but honestly, its life. And life brings to you what it has to offer. Who knows what road is in store for me? You just gotta be ready for it.

I work in retail, have been working in retail since 17. The list is endless: Hollister, GUESS?, Bath and Body Works, Nordstorm, Armani/Exchange, Metropark USA...and now im working at Forever 21 and YEYY!!! SO EXCITED about this one: getting the opportunity to work at the NEW NAPPYTABS (Napolean and Tabitha from SYTYCD and ABDC's dance wear clothing line) STORE!!! Opening NEXT SATURDAY - MAY 1ST (PROJECTED soft opening) come check it out! NORTH HOLLYWOOD - LANKERSHIM AND MAGNOLIA (next to eclectic cafe and starbucks) woo woo!!! 

so thats kind of my life in a nutshell! Thanks to everybody in LA who's believed in me so far and or helped me out, been a friend, offered me advice, showed me tough love, backstabbed me, hurt me, loved me...its made the experience in LA what it has been so far..and it'll be almost 2 years since i've been living here, CRAZY right?!!!

So! This is going to be a blog about my DAILY LIFE, maybe random thoughts? Random pictures. Quotes...WHO knows?! Expect the unexpected.
