Kai crying is good but now we need some Cinder “crying”

I've always said that Cinder can cry without tears, because Marissa describes her giving a "dry sob" and she certainly has moments akin to crying e.g. when Erland tells her she's Selene, when Kai cradles her on the floor in Cress. I think Cinder's 'crying' would look like she's having a panic attack--shaking breaths, trembling, choking sounds.

Cinder is about a girl figuring out who she is in a world that is collapsing and falling to pieces and she loves her prince and he loves her but she's a cyborg and a cyborg could never go to the ball and there's this thing that's happening with the disease and everything is falling to pieces and she needs to save him, if she can, and it's all so dangerous and she has to try

Scarlet is about the a red-head with a shotgun. Oh, and the ethics of the manipulation of genetics. And wolves. And love. And pain. And death. and government. And instinct versus love. And the idea that you can love someone enough to risk everything for them.

Cress is about stupid love. And more ethics questions. And then more ethical questions. And some questions about morality. And then death. Disease. Danger. And how maybe all you need is to lose your ability to see to start to become the person you always knew you could be.

Winter.

Winter is.

The final piece. To all the stories. It ties it all together perfectly. It finishes it endlessly, it satisfies, it pulls you apart, puts you back together, sets you on your feet, stares you in the eyes and tells you the end of the story, and your feet give out under you, and you hold the books close to your chest and you whisper, softly, "Oh my stars, I don't think I'll ever read something like this ever again." and you won't.

And you'll be ruined.

For the rest of your life, no other series will match this one. Nothing will make you feel the same. Nothing will hold you so tightly. Nothing will ruin you like this series.

There is nothing I have ever read in my whole life that was as good of a YA series as this four book series.

I honestly think this is about the same level as The Hunger Games(I classify those as Modern Classics). If not better.

This book series will ruin you.

And you'll never, ever, ever, ever be the same.

So I’m reading the lunar chronicles and, as of most of the way through cress, I gotta say I love the men.

It’s just like

Jacin - hot asshole who will probably be important next book but this book has just existed. He hasn’t even made friends. Literally no one here likes him.

Thorne - wannabe Byronic hero but he hasn’t actually done anything selfish or bad boy. He’s just unfailingly patient and acts like some sort of team mom.

Wolf - the most Tortured Boy (tm) you can be, wavering between mindless violence and catatonic meltdown. Edward Cullen wishes he was this guy.

Kai - damsel in distress. That’s it. He’s had 3 books, and he hasn’t managed to play an active role in his own life yet, he’s basically a virgin sacrifice waiting to be rescued from a dragon.

Some kaider headcanons of when cinder comes to stay when they're not yet married?

I think I've briefly touched on this on another post, but I can't find it so I'll give yall more here lol.

When Cinder visits Kai in New Beijing:

Cinder literally never stays in the guest suite that's provided for her. She always snuggles up in Kai's bed with him. Sometimes he's already asleep when she gets there, sometimes she's already asleep when he gets there. Most of the time though, they'll be awake until the other arrives--if they don't go there together.

They sneak out of the palace--Cinder glamouring them--to go get sticky buns in the market.

Their not-so-secret make out spot is underneath the ballroom stairs. The staff pretend not to know, but they do. Iko does not pretend not to know. That's the first place she'll go to look for them if she needs one of them.

The palace mechanics already made a special place in the workshop just for her. If she's at it, they frequently bring projects to her because 1) she's the best mechanic they've ever known and 2) they just enjoy spending time and talking with her.

When Kai visits Cinder on Luna:

Their not-so-secret make out spot here is the balcony out looking Artmesia Lake. Again, it's the first place Iko will look for them.

When they want to go out into the city, they don't have to sneak out, so they do it much more often here than on Earth. People often give them gifts when they do this.

They definitely take joyrides on those surface cruisers just for shits and giggles. Her security team hates when they do that lol. They try to scold her and it doesn't work out well because Kai does his charming thing and talks them out of their frustration.

Cinder also sneaks into Kai's suite here even though his is smaller. It's just routine for them, so that's what happens. If Kai is visiting, all the staff know where to find her in the morning when she's not in her own bed.

When either visits the other:

Cute little hip bumps as they walk together.

They do that thing where they point to the ugliest sculpture, building, etc, and say "that's you."

When they have meetings with other world leaders while they're in the same space, Kai will sit on Cinder's lap. Yes, they're aware it looks unprofessional, but it also makes the more seasoned leaders underestimate them. (Torin and Iko think it's cute)

Kai constantly picks flowers and gives them to Cinder.

He also learned how to braid her hair, so he does that sometimes while they're laying in bed, or sitting in a meeting, or she's working in the workshop
