You grind your teeth a little bit from anger as you made your way downstairs to confront your friend. You stopped halfway through when you heard their distinct laugh. Since starting college, you had hardly heard it from them this past month.

You peered between the bars of the staircase you were walking down and spotted her along with a man. The one from last night? You couldnt tell since you couldn't see his face.

Looking down at the ground, you sighed to yourself. You came to the club for them, so you can't be too mad at them for finding someone to be with for the night. Plus, they did make sure that you were going to taken care of for the night.

For the past three months your friend had been heartbroken when their significant other had cheated on them. With another one of your other friends to make it worse. Needless to say, the two of them don't come around you or your friend anymore.

"Y/N?" You heard your friend call out to you from between the bars of the staircase. You tried to stand up too fast and hit the side of your head along the railing and instantly grabbed your head.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming,"you replied with your head still in your hands. You made your way down the stairs completely and rubbed the back of your head. You stopped by the side of you friend and looked over at the man she was talking to.

It didnt look like the one she was talking to last night. This one was too tall, and had blue hair instead of pink. You gave the two of them a look saying you didnt know this guy.

"Right!" Your friend turned from the man to you. "Y/N, this is Taehyung. He's friends with both Jimin and Jungkook. The guys from last night?"

You just nodded your head a little bit and looked over at Taehyung. "It's nice to meet you."

He smiled over at you, making his mouth look kind of like a box, which was so cute. He walked behind the bar and disappeared as he bent down. “Nice to meet you, too. Want some water?” He stood back up with a bottle of water and stretched it out towards you.

You smiled back at him and nodded. “Thank you.”

The smile on his face got bigger and he rested both of his hands on the bar. “So, the two of you with Jimin and Jungkook, huh? Sounds a little out of the ordinary for them.”

Your friend and you looked at each other before looking back at Taehyung. He didn’t have his box smile on anymore, instead he was wearing a smirk. It wasn’t how Jungkook’s looked, it looked a bit more mischievous.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Your friend asked and put her own bottle of water on the bar counter. You sat down on the bar stool next to her, opening your bottle and taking a sip from it. As far as you were concerned, you and Jungkook weren’t a thing so this didn’t matter to you.

“The two of them don’t normally keep the girls they pick up here in their actual rooms. They either go to a hotel or to the girl’s place. They must have really like you two,” Taehyung said and began to wipe down the glasses from last night and put them up as he went.

“So, what does it mean when they do let the girls stay here?” You spoke up.

“No idea. They’ve never done it before now,” Taehyung grabbed a glass and poured himself some scotch. “I’ll be sure to ask them when they get back.”

“They’re not here?” You looked behind you, trying to see if anyone else was there with the three of you.

“Sorry, it’s just us three. The rest of the guys, including your lover boys, went on a little… business trip,” Taehyung said with his smirk still on his face. “They said that you two can wait till they get back, or you could go home and they would see you later.”

Your friend perked up at the idea of staying till they got back. They must have had a gooooooood night with that Jimin guy if they wanted to see him again so soon.

You sighed, already knowing what they were going to ask and shook your head. “Hold on, how would they see us again later? What if we didn’t wanna come back to the club?”

Taehyung’s smirk turned into his large box smile. “Believe me, they’d see you again. If they wanted to, and they really want to.”

Your friend blushed and smiled at the ground. You looked at them and rolled your eyes. “That didn’t really answer my question, Tae-“

“Tae!” A familiar male voice boomed. Jungkook stormed into the room, carrying a man around his height in his arms as three others rushed in beside him. The man in his arms was bleeding profusely from his side and his face was twisted in anguish. “Seal the doors!”

Taehyung’s smile and smirk were both gone from his face as he jumped over the counter of the bar and rushed to the back doors. Two of the other men cleared the bar counter for Jungkook to put the bleeding man on it.

He stared at the two of you. “Help him!” He yelled and gestured towards the injured man on the counter. Your friend’s eyes widen at the sight of all the blood and she couldn’t speak. Jimin ran over to them from the front door, where he had just closed and locked the front entrance.

You were busy watching everyone run around, trying to close all the doors, Jimin checking on your friend with his hands on their concerned face. You felt hands roughly grab your shoulders, but not hard enough to actually hurt you.

Looking up, you saw Jungkook looking at you with wide, brown eyes. “Please, Y/N. Can you help him or not?”

You looked over at the man laying on the counter of the bar, hands holding onto his side that was still bleeding badly. Your mouth went dry at looking at him, but you nodded your head. After all, it had only been three months since you had to stop attending Scared Heart Medical School due to financial reasons.

“Listen and do everything I tell you.”

The Little Things Part Two

College Student! Hoseok x Senior Citizen Caretaker! Reader

A week into Hoseok’s grandmother being in your care, he finally finished boxing and bringing everything over to her room at the center. For the past few days, you’ve been helping her to adjust and settle. Hoseok comes over every day after his classes to help set up her room and spend time with her.

You’ve learned so much  about the both of them. Hoseok’s parents died when he was young and his grandma took him in. His grandpa passed away a few years ago. Mrs. Jung lived through WWII as a newly wed and her husband was the only man she’s ever loved romantically.

For the whole first week, it was just for Mrs. Jung to get acquainted with the building and residents. And also for Hoseok to get comfortable of the idea of his grandma living there.

It was also by far the best week of your job. Sure, you’ve those days where you thought nothing could be better, but this entire week was. Not only was Mrs. Jung so sweet and caring, she was also still very independent. She went to the bathroom on her own, bathed herself (You just sat outside the door ready to go in at a moments notice), and had no problem getting up and down from her bed.

Then there was her grandson, Jung Hoseok. He was so lively and energetic, making his grandma always seem younger than what she really was. And how caring he was towards her, it made your heart melt watching them every time.

At the end of the first week, on a Sunday, Hoseok came to visit early in the morning since he didn’t have any school for that day. He did bring his backpack and another box.

“Oh, I thought you had gotten all of your grandma’s boxes?” You asked as the two of you walked to her room. You to do you morning rounds, and he to spend the entire day with her. He even sat in her room doing his homework whenever she laid down for her nap and was always there when she woke up again.

“So did I, but I found this one underneath my dorm bed. I think I mistook it for my own until I looked inside and saw all the pictures and letters,” he replied and held the door open to Mrs. Jung’s room with one hand and held the box with the other.

You smiled at him and walked in. Mrs. Jung was sitting up in her bed, looking out of the window in her small bedroom. “The birds are chirping so lively this morning,” she said and turned to look at the two of you. “It’s going to be a lovely day.”

The two of you smiled back at her and nodded. “Of course, Mrs. Jung, especially since Hoseok is here so early today.”

Hoseok walked to his grandma’s bedside and gave her a kiss on top of her head. “Good morning, G-ma.”

She laughed slightly at the use of his nickname for her. It took you by surprise the first time you heard it, no one’s ever used it before Hoseok. It suited him so well, though. It went with his personality and the way he cared for her. Plus, his voice just made it sound like the word was from Heaven.

His grandma looked at the box under his arm. “I thought we got everything?”

“So did I, but I found this box of letters and photos underneath my bed. I think I mixed it up with my things. Sorry, G-ma,” Hoseok said and gently placed the box at the foot of her bed. “We can look through it together today if you want.”

“Let’s look only at the photos. I want to keep the letters for another day. If they are what I think they are, I only want me and Y/N to look through them. It’s girl things,” she responded and winked at you with a smile on her face.

You smiled back and bit your lip to keep from laughing when Hoseok looked at the two of you with a confused face. “If that’s what you want.”

You felt your stomach turn and head pound along with the sway of the carriage. It was getting hard to breath in the small space you were in and the veil over your face.

You lifted it up only to be met with a wooden door. That just made you sicker. Looking at the eccentric design that reminded you of the palace.

Royalty, you thought. You’ve got to be kidding me.

The closest you’ve ever come to the royal family was selling goat cheese and blueberry jam ton errand boy from the castle kitchen. Being here, a royal carriage and being carried by guards to the castle.

There was a lurch of some sort outside and it caused your body to go along with it. The palms of your hands slammed on the door to keep your face from doing that.

You say back down in your original position and sighed. This was not how you planned on spending your eighteenth birthday.

You lifted the veil over your head and turned to look out of the small, square holes on the side. Nothing was moving now, but you could tell that you were still in the forest.

Maybe if you got lucky enough you could get the door open and make a get away. You scoffed at yourself for even thinking that way.

How could you possible get away? These people were able to track you down to the putter parts of the kingdom, able to get your location out of your mother when you hid from them. You knew that running now wouldn’t work.

You felt yourself slowly get lowered down and you smiled. Maybe some fresh air will help your stomach and head.

You heard some voices from outside, only one familiar. How could you forget that voice?

No matter how badly you wanted to dislike the owner of that voice, you couldn’t. It was so calming and gentle. A voice that you could more than likely fall asleep to.

You closed your eyes and lowered the veil over your face again. The general who kneeled before you earlier placed it on you, saying that the other guards can’t know what you look like. Jimin, he said was his name, said it was for theirs and your protection.

Against what? Who knew. You figured nothing worse could happen after being carried away from your mother and brother.

The door to the carriage opened and a red gloved hand reached in and grabbed one of your hands. You stared at the hand for a split second before it yanked you out of the carriage.

You felt your knees scarp slightly on the ground before being pulled up. The veil on your face distorted your vision just a bit, but not enough to the point where you could make out the face of Jimin, the palace general.

“We’re going to stop here for the night, my lady. You’ll be staying with me in my tent.”

You nodded your head and looked at the ground. Then it hit you. Alone, the two of you, in his tent.

“What?!”
